I have severe restless feet. I take mirapex at night. I've started having severe restlessness in the morning now. I've been given gabapentin 100 mg during the day. It makes me tired and feel strange. I have taken a small dose of narco 2x a day and it works great. I've ran out now my feet are acting up again which makes life and travel miserable. Dr will not continue with narco even tho it works. I have been taking gabapentin for almost 2 months now. My doctor gave it to me for migrain head aches, restless leg syndrome and anxiety. I take 300 mg at bedtime every night. About an hour after I wake up in the morning I'm very sick to my stomach which sometimes lasts all day long. I also can not keep my legs still. I bounce them all day. About 3 hours before I go to bed I get very irritated. Once I take my night dose it all goes away. Could this be from the gabapentin? I just took my second dose of gabapentin 100 mgs this morning. I was also prescribed hydrocodone 10/325. Is it safe for me to take the hydrocodone if it has been eight hours ago since I took the gabapentin? I know it takes a long time for gabapentin to get out of your system and I can't be too safe when mixing medications. I began taking Gabapentin for terrible nerve pain, tingling, and numbness in both legs, from the thigh to the knee, particularly when I'm lying down. I also feel one arm go completely numb when I keep it raised for any period of time. Example: holding up my Kindle to read, or my phone to play Words With Friends. I personally don't think you should have anything to worry about as far as side effects go if you only took this one dose. Gabapentin has a half life of 5 to 7 hours. So, for example, if you took 200 mg of gabapentin Monday at 4 PM, 100 mg would still be in your system at approx. 9 to 11 PM. Generally, it can take anywhere from 5-7 half-lifes before the drug is completely out of your system (but you should stop feeling its effects before then). I started taking Gabapentin 300mg x 3 daily on May 13,015 for severe shingles pain in my ear, mouth and face. June 16,2015 I began having memory lapses not walking straight as well as anxiety. My doctor told me to go off cold turkey. I was to be taking tylenol for the pain as it was not as severe. I also take .5 mg Lorazepam for anxiety up to 2 times per day as needed for my copd depression. I also take .25 Zoloft once daily. I had forgotten to take my Zoloft for three days last week. Hello. I've been taking 1200 mg Neurontin (600 twice daily) for around 4 yrs. I'd like to wean off of it and will off course do so with my Dr.'s supervision. However I will not completely trust her schedule for weaning because of a past experience with her. What schedule would you recommend?
