I take 60 mgs of oxydone 2x day..dr recently added 10 mg opana er...omg...he sd its stronger...it will help you. ..bull sh#@! Its like candy only no happy ending....it doesn't even take away withdrawals! My pain specialist had me on 40 mg Opana ER and 15 mg Morphine Sulfate IR for 8 years. I had to find another doctor and starting next week I will be taking 30 mg Oxymorphone ER every 12 hours and 10 mg Oxycodone IR up to 3 per day. I wonder what the difference is between 15MG MS Contin vs 15 Mg Oxycodone. Hello, I was just prescribed by my pain doctor oxycodone 30 mg imm rel tab I get 90 pills every 2 weeks cause I have bulging disc in my neck C3-C6. This is my 5th different med I have taken I have been switched so many times trying to find something stronger that will relieve my pain. I think their efficacy also largely depends on your body chemistry and how well you tolerate each medication (in relation to the severity of your pain). Because this factor is so different for each individual, there's really no ethical way to compare these two medications on a milligram to milligram basis. If you're looking to compare one or the other, I would suggest asking your doctor for a smaller script that you can use as a trial run, just to see how your body responds to each medication.
