white with green stripe on one side and an gray stripe on one side with the number GG550 on it ## What it may look like is a very open ended question, once a pill is available for generic manufacture, there are tons of companies that make them and each pill or capsule will look different, depending on what the company wants it too look like, even the imprint within a company will differ according to the dosage. Now, as to your capsule, (and thanks for providing the description and imprint, it makes it much easier to confirm for you!) this is indeed a generic for Prozac. Fluoxetine 20mgs. WHAT DOES A GENERIC prozac 20mg and a 10 mg look like. I want to find the green capusles ## As a generic, there are far too many on the market for me to be able to list all the possible markings and descriptions for you. There are even quite a lot if I just narrow it down to green, or ones that can be taken for being green. Do you have any other information on it, such as the manufacturer name? ## It says E92 it is different than any I've gotten before

I just started taking Prozac 4 days ago. 10mg a day along with my lupus medications. I feel great and noticed a difference right a away. I feel more confident, my worries are gone, I have no anxiety whatsoever. My appetite is the same and I have a lot of energy. ## Hello, KindVictory! How are you? I'm very glad that it's working for you. It can take 3 to 4 weeks for this medication to reach its full efficacy level in your body, so this is really just the start. Hopefully, the good effects continue. Are there any questions or concerns?

I have been taking 60mg generic Prozac for about six months. These days I'm feeling like it's not quite controlling my depression. With my doctor's permission I tried raising the dose to 80mg and it caused me to sleep straight through the entire day. Does anyone know of another antidepressant that might work with prozac but not knock me out? Paxil was wonderful but stopped working after about 3 years as well as wellbutrin and zoloft......all taken by themselves. I would appreciate your suggestions, thank you. ## If you have successfully taken Paxil before and it stopped working, there is no reason you can't try it again, as long as there has been some time in between that you've been off of it. What happens when you stop taking Prozac. I have taken it for 35 years and currently take 40 mg a day. What is the best way to stop? ## Hello, Kate! How are you? It would best to speak to your doctor, so they can help you set up a slow tapering schedule. Prozac is an SSRI that has a relatively long half-life, so it's usually easier to stop that most of the others, but you may still experience some withdrawal effects, such as nausea, diarrhea, rebound depression, rebound anxiety, weight gain and vaginal bleeding. Is there anything else I can help with?

I just started taking prozac and have been on it a week now, though I haven't seen or felt any difference yet. Does this medication make you gain weight? ## Hey, well actually prozac usually has no side effects and I've been on it for almost a month. When my doctor asked me what my eating habits are like I said "good" and I asked why, and he said just to make sure, but prozac usually wont make you hungry or not hungry so it might be something else. ## He is talking crap, I just started to take Prozac and it made me eat more too. I also had recovered and was off Diabetes meds and now I'm back on them cause of the Prozac too. So it made my reading high and the doctor told me it didn't. Prozac causes my blood pressure to go up too. ## Is anyone on this thread still ...

So I made the mistake of going from being on 40mg of prozac for a year to 0 mg cold turkey around Nov. 24. Withdrawal symptoms didn't kick in until about 3 weeks later when I had terrible diarrhea in the morning. Since then, I've had daily GI upsets including diarrhea, painful trapped wind at night, indigestion, abdominal cramps, etc. Along with this (or maybe caused by these symptoms) my anxiety has come back with a vengeance and I've had tons of crying spells and constant flu like symptoms. About 7 weeks through being off, I couldn't take it and went back to the doctor who prescribed me on 20mg of Prozac which i've been taking for 3 days now. I know it's relatively soon to tell any difference, but my GI upsets have been continuing and I read that withdrawal sym...

Back in November of 2016 I made the decision to seek help in dealing with some depression and anger issues that I had been suffering with for a very long time. I called my health care provider (KP) and they had me talk to a general practice doctor, saying that I needed a referral in order to see anyone in their behavioral health department. I wasn't sure what a regular doctor was going to do for me, but I did as I was told. The day that I saw this person would end up being the beginning of some of the worst days of my adult life. This doctor listened to me for all of about 10 minutes and then prescribed Prozac for me. I had heard of it before, and was willing to try anything, so with little information on what I was getting myself into, I proceeded to follow Doctor's orders and ...

Hi everyone, I am taking Prozac generics and wondering about preferences in manufacturers. I believe the 20mg of Activist is not performing very well. My pdoctor has increased to 30mg by taking 3 10mg and would like to get a reputable manufacturer. Also would like to know about experience from people who were given Latuda to use with it. He gave me a sample pack but have been afraid to take it. ## I currently take the capsule manufactured by Aurobindo Pharmaceuticals for perimenopause symptoms, which include anxiety, and it works very well for me. I take 20mgs in the morning and 10mgs at night. I can't say how well it will work for you, though, since we are all different. I have been on prozac 10 mg for 14 days and it has helped my anxiety and fear some. I take it at night and do sleep well but sometimes wake up in morning with anxiety and fear, will this get better the longer im on it. I started taking it because I got anxiety after my daughter was born 6 weeks early and is still in hospital. ## Hello, Sak! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems that you're having. You may need to check into raising the dosage, so there is more to stay in your body for a longer period of time, or ask about splitting your dose and taking it twice a day. I take it for the irritability and moodiness that I get from perimenopause and found it works best for me to split my dosage. It will also take about 3 weeks, before it reaches its full efficacy level in your b...

Have just been prescribed Trepiline for Lupus, I am already on prozac are they compatible ? ## Hi, Luppy! How are you? No, these two actually aren't considered compatible. They can both increase the level of Serotonin in your brain, which can lead to a very dangerous condition called Serotonin Syndrome, this condition even has the potential to be fatal. I'd really suggest double checking with your doctor, before adding the new medication. Adding additional complications isn't something you need to be risking.

Im on both methadone and prozac, the problem i am having are awful jerks or spasms when i take them as prescribed.I have tried several other antidepressants on methadone but still have spasms or violent jerks. When i tell the doctors they dont have an answer,Help! ## Come on Verwon,i need some info on the problem of spazms or jerks while on methdone and antidepressants. Help ## Unfortunately, while it is a common problem reported by many people, I really don't have any answers as to why this happens. It's been reported with many antidepressants and Methadone. It may be due to the fact that some of the antidepressants raise the levels of Methadone in the body. What dosage do you take? You might want to try asking your doctor about making a slight adjustment, so you take a little le...

Hi all. I am about to start low dose Qsymia but also take Prozac, been on for years. Anyone on both medications and any side effects or concerns? ## Yes, there is a warning about combining them, according to the FDA, taking both has been known to cause Serotonin Syndrome, a potentially fatal condition. If you have been instructed to take them both, your doctor should be monitoring you frequently, and you should know to watch for any possible symptoms of it, such as confusion, twitching muscles, heavy sweating, diarrhea, muscle rigidity, high fever, and seizures. If you experience any of them, you must seek immediate medical attention. Are they both being prescribed by the same doctor?

I have tried several anti-depressants and have yet to feel better. Started with Xanax years ago but only took it for a little while. Didn't take anything for 20 years. Now within the last two years I have tried Effexor, prozac, welbutrin and now viibryd. Only been on it for 3 weeks and still feel crappy. Mood is ok but so fatigued that I about can't go. I had an episode 9/13 where I became unresponsive and then was just in and out. I felt drugged and numb. Had weened off prozac and started viibryd. After spending 4 hrs in ER and having blood and urine evaluated and X-rays the dr said he thinks it may have been a reaction because of prozac was still in system. I actually thought I was going to die. I really don't believe the way I feel has anything to do with medication. Oh w...

I just started Prozac 3 weeks ago. I started on 10mg for 10 days and then moved up to 20mg. I have had so many down days (like worse than I felt before I started taking it). I am taking mainly for OCD and anxiety. I feel like it’s never going to make me actually feel better, but I keep reading that I need to push through. Wish, I’m supposed to go up to 40mg when I feel like I’m ready. Not sure if I should just start it and get it over with, or wait to see if the 20 starts to work better….any advice? ## Usually, it takes about 4 to 5 weeks, at one steady dose, for a medication to reach its full level of efficacy in the body, so it may take awhile, as you gradually step up to the target dose. As a GAD and panic disorder with agoraphobia sufferer for over 10 years, I am no stranger to meds. I have been on Pristiq, however, for about 3 years, and have finally decided it`s time for a change. This medication really did nothing to help me with my illness`, but due to the horrifying withdraw process (which you can start to feel if you miss a dose by ever a few hours), I`ve stuck with it. My doc has decided to put me on prozac to help with the withdraw symptoms of pristiq. Has anyone tried this with any success? I start the whole process in 6 days and I`m completely freaking out. ## Is he having you taper the Pristiq? I'm not sure if doctor's read this website but until they realize that these drug manufacturers can't be trusted, they will not be able to help their patients. My mom who has Alzheimer's is able to react to changes in different brands of the same meds she's been on. Her caregivers notice and let us know. It's a real shame that the FDA allows such a drastic range in what they are able to put into these generic drugs. Shame, shame on them. We need to protect ourselves against the generic drugs sitting right in our local drug stores. You don't need to be on street drugs to be harmed by bad drugs, they are right at your local pharmacies. Don't let your pharmacist lie to you, they're in it for the money. ## Did anyone experience Seizures on Prozac? My daug...
