I was diagnosed with Herpes Zoster the doctor gave advised me to take Valcivir 1000 along with Preega M75 but since the hospital did not have Preega they gave me Pregeb M75. After taking it for 4 days I started getting numbness in my right arm, little and ring finger. Is this normal? Was Pregeb M75 the right substitute? Is methocarbam ?the same medication as Soma ## It is Robaxin a muscle relaxer. From what I see they are nothing like Soma ## @Cindy, Both Soma (carisoprodol) and Robaxin (methocarbamol) are listed as muscle relaxers. From what I've read, both drugs also reportedly work in the same way - by blocking nerve impulses / pain sensations that are sent to the brain. However with regards to potency/efficacy I'm not sure how they compare, so you may have to discuss that with your prescribing doctor if it's something you're interested in trying. I have been on dialysis for the last 2 and a half years. Suddenly I experienced back pain and rib pain. Upon taking an x-ray my doctor said the ribs have been bent and the nerves touching it causes pain. He has given me Maxgalin 75 for 10 days. Is it safe for me to take this? Please advise.
