They are in my stool and I don't think they are being absorbed, cut them in half, now appear as almost round. Can I crush , should I stop taking them and take something else. I have generally diarehha and they float to the top, have taken them out to exam. they expand and take on the color of the stool, when I cut them in half they are soft and white inside the color. Are not visable when my stool is normal but it usually is not. ## No, that is how they are supposed to work. Not all pill components are always supposed to be broken down and absorbed by your body, it is normal for some elements, even if it looks like the entire pill, to be expelled in your waste. You are still receiving the medication. This is actually covered in the patient monograph warnings, it tells you that you m...

I was on carvedilol 25 mg and recently my doctor changed my dose to 12.5 mg. Can I split my 25 to take my 12.5? ## Yes, you can split the remaining tablets, as long as they aren't time released and your pharmacist hasn't otherwise said that you shouldn't do so. I was on it for awhile and had to cut mine, all the time. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with?

Can someone help me identify these pills: Oval Yellow Marked 13 / 9 On One Side And G on the other. Also found a Diamond Shaped White Pill marked 7427 on one side and 9 / 3 on the other. The "/" is a break section in each pill. I found these in an unmarked pill bottle in the room of my son, who is an active alcoholic. He has quite a few if each. ## The first tablet with the G 13 9 contains 600mgs of Oxcarbazepine, which is used as an anticonvulsant and mood stabilizer. Learn more Oxcarbazepine details here. I have been taking pravastatin 80mg for over 6yrs, it's always been a white oval shaped pill with 7270 on one side and TEVA on the other side. I got my RX filled today, just opened the bottle to take my nightly meds, and it's a tannish colored oval shaped pill with LU on one side and NOL on the other side. Is this the same med? ## I believe the marking you're looking at is LU N04, the way they style the 4 makes it easy to mistake for an L on these tablets, because it's hard to see the formation of it in its entirety on the tablet's surface. And yes, it is an 80mg Pravastatin tablet, the pharmacy was probably able to get these one from Lupin Pharmaceuticals cheaper than the ones manufactured by Teva. Is there anything else I can help with?

I had an Rx filled and was supposedly 250 mg divalproex sodium ER. It is orange, oval shape, and number 512 one side, blank on other. I also have a white pill, oval shaped, with number 724 one side and W on other. I believe it to be the 500 mg version but need to verify. I transfer my Rx from pharmacy bottles to my own containers so they are a more convenient size for me. Dumb in retrospect. Can you help? Thanks, taxman ## Both of the tablets you've described are 250mg dosages. I wouldn't call you dumb, it's a very common mistake that a lot of people make and it's the reason sites like this exist. ;-) Is there anything else I can help with?
