I have some blue 1 mg alprazolam, generic for Xanax, pills that have the R031 on them. how can you check to see if the pills are real or fake(besides looking at them) ## ## If they are the name brand, from the U.S., then twe's post should be helpful. There are, however, also many generics on the market and many available from foreign countries, as well. The legal, U.S. generics are required by law to have some type of imprint on the tablet, to enable their identification. If the tablets you are questioning are from the U.S. and have an imprint, then if you post back with it, I can easily look it up for you to see if it contains Alprazolam. Just as an example, a round blue pill, with the marking of MYLAN A1 on one side contains 1mg of Alprazolam. A blue oval tablet, with the marking of G 3721 on one side also contains 1mg. I have never seen this # 605 on any blue xanax pill. I tried looking it up. But there is no info on this pill. I got my prescription filled at a pharmacy I never used. They just arrived - nothing like they promised - oblong yellow pills, scored to split. It's from Asimax-Forte. I can't even find a site in English on them except their own site which says essentially NOTHING! i have recently been prescribed ativan which seems to help some,but i am wondering if xanax would work better ## they are roughly equivalent, but Xanax hits the nervous system faster, and gets out of you system faster. Both good for panic, crappy for sleep, wouldn't use either for persistant symptoms of anxiety. ## Just to add some further information.... A lot of it can also depend on the individual involved, one may not work for them, while another might, so sometimes it's really just a matter of trial and error to see which medication works for you. I just filled my script that was Supossed to be Xanax 1 mg extended release.. Xr or ER.. Anyway I my meds are usually a bigger white pill.. Def my fav of the sticks, except the yellow ones. I've been taking this medication for over 14 years and yet to EVER have a Name BRAND STICK, so I cant compare any generic to it, but I've had name brand .25 .5 and 1mg. To be honest I like the sandoz generics better than the name brand ones. Dava 2mgs are a good generic as well. So I think a name brand stick wouldn't be that effective either compared to a dava or sandoz. Right? ## I always get the 2 mg bars with Xanax right on the back. Or the Circle ones from Walmart. People should not be thinking that 1mg of xanax dyed blue would be any different, strength wise to the same amount of alprazolam using green dye. When these people write asking about the S 302, they do mean 3 and it is not a 9 any way you look at it. Has anyone found out what this really is? I take Xanax and these new S 302 are flooding the area BUT are not generic or any kind of Xanax. oval shaped pill, scored in the middle, light blue in color with a large outlined A printed on the other side. Looks like the same size as a 1mg xanax, but I have never seen this marking. ## Was this found or obtained in the U.S. or from a U.S source? I cannot find any listings in the U.S. databases for this.
