what does TEV mean

what does TEV mean after TAB on medicine lable ## What does MGTEV stand for on darocet 100-650?The lable reads as Propoxyphen- APAP 100-650 MGTEV. Thanks! ## The first initials stand for the manufacturer, for example Teva Pharmaceuticals in the original post, and the TAB specifies that it is a tablet, according to FDA prescribing instructions. Regarding Valerie's post, Propoxyphene, in any form or combination, has been removed from the market, since it was found to cause a high risk of cardiac issues, and many overdose deaths. It was originally available under the name brand Darvocet. It was a very mild narcotic analgesic, the FDA warns that it carried the risk of being habit forming, and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Teva Amoxicillin What Does It Treat

I have a brand new prescription of teva-amoxicillin. I had a gum infection - within two pills the pain was gone and I have this bottle full.. I now have a temperature with which I believe is due to a chest infection. Will this medication help? ## Amoxicillin is an antibiotic, which can be used to treat many different type of infections. However, you should finish the full course of the medication, as prescribed, even if you start to feel better, before you have finished. The pain may have went away, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the infection cleared up. Thus, you could be sick now, because it was never fully treated and has now spread to other parts of your body. In addition, only taking part of the prescription for an antibiotic creates the very real risk of developing an... ...

what is teva 2210 used for

does this product have aluminum in it. does it interact with floxitine and also can it be takin at the same time or 2 hours later to work well. does it work good alone for acid reflex? does it work for the better if you have a hihanial hunea? how differant is it fro ranidine twicw a day? ## Hello, Cheryl! How are you? Teva Pharmaceuticals lists this tablet as containing 1gram of Sucralfate, so no aluminum and I didn't find any interactions listed between them in the NIH databases. It's a gastric protective agent, which means it coats your gastro areas, to help prevent further damage and to allow any current injuries to heal. Ranitidine is an antacid, so it works by helping to neutralize some of you stomach acid, but it doesn't coat such areas, so it may not always help to he... ...

teva 4199 - what kind of pill is this

Is it a generic for viagra? My boyfriend was told it was viagra by the person who gave it to him but we don't think so. ## Hello Sally, I wasn't able to locate a pill that has the imprint Teva 4199 or even one with markings relatively close. Teva is a pharmaceutical company that manufactures the pill in question. Just because I wasn't able to find the pill on any American databases does not mean that Teva does not manufacture this pill as they make pills for countries all around the world and their markings will differ from ours. My guess is that the pill was manufactured either a very long time ago or is not something that is manufactured to be sold in the U.S. Most likely you would get more answers contacting the company itself on their website or on the phone line 888-838... ...

What is the difference between novo-betahistine and teva-betahistine

I just noticed that my pharmacist has switched me from teva-betahistine to novo-betahistine. I only noticed this because I'm having one of the worst menier's attracts I've ever had. I am wondering, what is the difference between these drugs and why would he have done this? Any feed back would be appreciated. Thank you ## They are the same medication, they've just been manufactured by different companies. These are Canadian medications and in Canada, they usually list the manufacture first, then it's followed by a hyphenation and the name of the actual drug. So, the first part of these, Novo and Teva, are both pharmaceutical manufacturers, but the drug is still Betahistine. Learn more Betahistine details here. Betahistine is a generic medication, which means it is man... ...

Learn more Clonazepam details here. I'm really not sure what you mean. Did someone have a bad reaction to them? 4mgs isn't too high of a dosage, but it could have some effects on someone that isn't used to taking Benzodiazepines, such as some heavy sedation, drowsiness and lethargy. ## I got a teva 834 2mg kpin it say teva on one side and834 on the other side Mt ? is when you turn it over to look at the number or vice versa OK the number up right but the teva is upside down its making me think thier fake ...

My teva zolpidem 10mg does not work. I sleep 3 hours

I have been taking zolpidem 10mg for many years and all was perfect. Now i changed pharmacies and it's 10mg of Teva with the # 74 on it and I am up in 3 hours and cannot get back to sleep. ## Try zolfresh 5 mg. I get sleep with this for more than 5 hours. It is also suggested to get a Dr.'s advice. ## Hello, Sharon! How are you? First, Zolpidem can help someone fall asleep, but it doesn't mean they will always stay asleep, which is why the time released version was created under brand name Ambien CR, according to the NIH. Second, if you've been taking it for years, you may have built up tolerance to it, which can prevent it from working as well for you. The FDA explains that we eventually get used to any medication that we take regularly for a long period of time, and we... ...

Teva Diazepam

This medication is bad compared to 1mg Alprazolam. I had to take a higher dose than normal to feel the same level of relief. ## Hi nuuke, how are you? Sorry to hear about your experience with Teva's diazepam. One thing to be aware of when you are taking generic meds, is that they are permitted by the FDA to contain up to 20% more or less of the actual active ingredients. This means that if one generic has -20% of the active ingredient, another generic has +20%, that's a 40% difference in dosages, plus a different set of binders and fillers that effect the absorption rate/bio-availability! It's no wonder everyone reacts differently to these drugs. I could be wrong in assuming this, but that's probably why they make generics so much cheaper as well... since you never reall... ...

Does the active ingredient in a med vary between brands.

I had to switch from Teva to Actavis clonazepam and am feeling a bit more negative on the new brand, despite the nearly identical inactive ingredients between the two. Does the composition of the active ingredient, the medicine itself vary between brands. Is it synthesized differently or use a different formula? ## Hello Schleprock, No. The active ingredient is the same but even though the inactive ingredients are similar or even listed as the same it doesn't necessarily mean they are identical. the reason for this is that they do not have to disclose the amount of inactive ingredients, so maybe one company uses a larger dosage of corn starch while the other barely uses any and so on. These minor differences can make major differences in how your body is able to metabolize the pill.... ...

What Is The Small Pill Inside Of My 5/20 Generic Lotrel Caps

There is a small white pill inside my generic 5/20 Lotrel capsule. Is the pill amlodipine or benazepril? ## Do you have any info on who the manufacturer is? Other than contacting the manufacturer directly, I don't believe there's anyway to ID a pill (which was inside of another pill), unless it has imprints or markings to verify it. Also, if there's only one pill inside, wouldn't that mean they are combined into the same tablet? If the capsule is just a shell, it makes good sense for this to be the case. ## There are two manufacturers of the generic Lotrel (amlodipine/benezapril) The Teva product (pink and white) doesn't contain that other pill, but the Dr. Reddy Labs (orange and pale beige) does. I don't know the answer to your question. I asked my doctor about ... ...

Is this a 2 mg as in smaller then a 5mg or a 2 like a 20mg I'm confused ## Hello, Jessica! How are you? Teva lists this tablet as containing 2mgs of Diazepam. The FDA classifies this medication as a benzodiazepine, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Is there anything else I can help with? ## It is smaller than a five, sense dude didn't want to answer your question. ## What stength is a 2mg Diazepam tablet? Is it less strength than a 5mg Diazepam tablet or more strength than a 5mg Diazepam tablet? Does the 2mg mean like the strength of 20mg like if you put 2 of the 10mg together or like if you put 2 of the 1mg,, which is same milligram as a 10mg, if you put them together ## A 2mg diazep... ...

Some options are morphine or methadone. They have their own side effects. Or try another manufacturer. All brands are different. ## Hello, Anne! What does she mean that it doesn't agree with her? when is teva 3109 expired

I had my teeth pulled I'd say about a year ago. Is my teva 3109 still good? I fell in the Shower and knocked out my Front Tooth. I need to take antibiotics. It's the Holiday so the Dentist is not open today. ## Hello, Lynnette! How are you? I'm sorry about happened. However, knocking out a tooth does not necessarily mean that an antibiotic is required. As detailed by the NIH, an antibiotic is only required, in the even of an actual infection, or if there is a very high risk of one occurring, such as with certain types of surgery. Taking an antibiotic, when it is not appropriate could result in your developing antibiotic resistance, and that could create life-threatening problems in the future. It would be best to wait, until you can see your doctor or dentist, so they can pr... ...
