Quitting oxycodone - need friends/support
1 Reply RSS
I've been addicted to oxy off and on for 5 years. This last year has been the worst- dealing with WDs and lying. I'm at the point where it has killed me financially and I can't stand the cycle I'm in. I've cut way back (from 300mgs to 60mg a day). I've tried to fully quit but when I get the urge/craving/depression/boredom, I have no one to talk to- so I start back up. I can see the life I had before...it's so close and have to get back to it. I just need help... From anyone....please. The major issue is that no one knows. I have a live in BF of 1 year and he has no idea. I cannot lie about the "errands" I have to run anymore or why I'm "working late". But I know that if I just have someone to talk to,while making this change- it will help ... ...

Just trying to find out what the PUR on my oxycodone bottle means. I'm guessing it's a form of sustained release, but just wanted to know the medical terminology. Thanks! ## That stands for the manufacturer, which in this case would be Purdue Pharma. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possible including nausea, headache, dizziness, drowsiness, constipation, and dry mouth. It also carries the risk of being habit forming. Currently, Oxycontin is only available from this manufacturer and it is only available as a time released formulation. Is there anything else I can help with? ...

R m15 oxycodone green time Release? My prescription had hlc On it? ## Hello, Bonnie! How are you? HCL does not designate it as being time released. HCL stands for Hydrochloride and designates the specific chemical salt that the medication is derived from. This tablet is manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 15mgs of Oxycodone in a regular release formulation. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. fake oxycodone cor 226

I've taken Roxicodone for 6 years. This month is the first time I've gotten these. They're just made by a different company. I just took one and they made my pain where I could stand it. I've always gotten the big blue pill marked with 224 or the M blocks or the a215 and these are just as strong as all the others ones! ## Just out of curiosity, what makes you insinuate that they're fake if they work so well? Round blue generic Oxycodone hcl 30mg tablets imprinted with "cor" over "226" on one side and scored on the back, are depicted as legitimate pills made by Corepharma. I guess it all depends on where or who you got them from, because I personally wouldn't trust anything that wasn't dispensed by a licensed pharmacy. Nevertheless, I'm gla... ...

How strong is a 15 mg ER morphine vs 30mg oxycodone
11 Replies RSS
I was taking 30mg oxycodone and the doctor switched to 15 mg Morphine ER and 15mg oxycodone and the pain is the worst it's been in the last 8 months. Am i going crazy or is it possible that the morphine does nothing for me. And if so I can't see the doctor for another 7 days ## 15mg er morphine is the least amount available in the er class of pain meds, er stands for extended release, this means that basically you are receiving 15 mg per 6 hrs, over a 12 hr period. and obviously you receive half of the dose you were getting with oxycodone. long story short, you Dr.isn't doing you any favors, only reducing your pain meds and increasing your pain!, 15 mg er morph doesn't do much at all! ## Morphine when taken by mouth is super weak. actavis oxycodone is TERRIBLE!
5 Replies RSS
I used to take Watson percocet and never had any problems and it took away my pain. The Actavis is nothing like the Watsons and have terrible side effects and feels like you are taking a placebo - NO pain relief. If you have to take more to get any type of pain relief you will suffer alot of GI problems. Anyone else notice this difference? ## Hi Lisa, While I don't have personal experience with Actavis products, I have heard numerous complaints about most of their oxycodone and percocet tablets being far below what is considered standard quality. I'm thinking there's a couple different things that may be at cause here. Excess amounts of binders/fillers are usually the first to be blamed for those who experience GI related issues. This is likely the case with most generic med... ...

I have been taking Oxycodone as prescribed, 30 mgs. per day/ 3 times a day. I can't stand having to sleep all day. When I wake up, I am very depressed. I suffer from Treatment Resistant Depression. I have been in pain management for years, lost my doctor along with other patients, and primary won't fill or says she can't and messes up my progress to get in new pain management in time.
