What is Cipia used for? Is it made to treat ED in men? ## Do you by chance mean CIPLA? If so, Cipla is the name of a pharmaceutical company from India that manufactures a number of different drugs, and does not refer specifically to any one medicine. Am I correct in assuming that you filled an rx online and that is what they sent you? Do you happen to know what active ingredient is listed or supposed to be in the medication that you have?

Can you give a child Ciproxina O is they are allergic to pencillin? ## Hi Riley, Ciproxina contains the active ingredient Ciprofloxacin, which is in a class of antibiotics called fluoroquinolones. So if you're child is allergic to Penicillin (and other antibiotics in that group), he or she shouldn't experience the same complications with Ciproxina. Although I would recommend having your child checked for other drug allergies as well, just to be on the safe side. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Ciprofloxacin Details I hope this helps! ## Cipro and other drugs in that class of antibiotics are contraindicated in children, meaning that they should never be given to children for any reason except in the case of a life threatening illness where there is no other tre...

Hey! I took Cipro for a SIBO infection for two weeks, twice a day. It made me extremely sick but so did the SIBO so we just kind of went with it anyway. My concern is the tendon issue. I have pains all the time that come and go for various unknown reasons, and am having pain in my right arm right now. I plan to call the doctor, but I was wondering in the meantime: does anyone know how long it might take for the risk of tearing a tendon to go away? Is it a few days, weeks, any clue? It's very hard for me not to work out and I've been staying put for 2 weeks now, so I'm ready to get up and go. ## What did your doctor say? I haven't really been able to find a definitive answer on this either, unfortunately. My best guess would be to wait a week or so, after finishing it, bu...

What does it mean if you have mental changes while on cipro? Why does this happen? Could this indicate I have a mental problem? I had the same problem with predazon. Except when I woke up my face was red and puffy. They think I have a allergy to predazone. Any way just concerned that this has happened with two medicines. So far no other side effects from the cipro. Just the mental changes. It's getting better as I let it leave my system. ## No, this doesn't necessarily mean you have a mental problem, it means the medication is having an odd effect on your body. Ciprofloxacin is an antibiotic and while they can list information on the most common side effects that you may experience, such as: nausea, dizziness, skin rash and diarrhea, there is no way of knowing the specific effec...

I had my teeth cleaned last week and after that I had pain in the left side of my face where I have a crown, the pain is getting worse that I can't sleep at night. I took Cipro 00 for 2 days now with out any change on the pain level. does that mean that it won't work? thank you ## Hello, Rara! How are you? The general rule with antibiotics is if they are working, there should be no worsening after the first 24 hours and you should see improvement after taking them for a full 3 days. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this antibiotic as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. However, the issue is that your pain may not be due to an infection and, if that is the case, then the antibiotic will not help. Have you consulted your de...

Can I take a 500 mg Cipro tablet after I took my Vitamin D supplement? The antibiotic is for a small boil. ## Dear Deb, Vitamin D is naturally present in our bodies from sunlight. I don't mean for this to come off as sarcastic in any way, but to my understanding Ciprofloxacin does not interfere with what's otherwise naturally occurring in our bodies (with the exception of reducing beneficial gut flora - and that could be replenished with prebiotics/probiotics). However I believe most vitamins and minerals in their raw form should be fine to take alongside it. I am also speaking from personal experience. NOTE: According to a Walgreen's disclaimer, "sulfa antibiotics in particular can reportedly cause photosensitivity", in which case, taking a Vitamin D supplement inst...

WHITE & OBLONG ## Just to add some information to this post, while the information provided isn't enough to identify a pill and verify what it is, I can provide information on the stated antibiotic. Ciprofloxacin is used to treat various bacterial infections, which means it is not effective against the viruses that cause illnesses such as the cold or flu. And it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Are there any questions? Feel free to ask! There are more Ciprofloxacin details available here for anyone needing more information.

I took Cipro for a UTI and within 24 hrs of starting it began to have issues with breathing and energy and balance. After finishing the drug things got worse. And the thing that bothers me most is that my Dr. rx'ed the drug for a UTI BEFORE getting the lab work... the bacteria was e-coli.... and Cipro didn't kill it!!! I still had the UTI.... Meanwhile it is now 7 months since I took the drug and I'm still having massive issues with balance and extreme fatigue. I have a friend who took it and lost his color vision for 2 yrs. He also experienced balance issues, brain fog and extreme fatigue. I'd like to know of others who have similar issues, how long it has been since the last dose and what conditions they are still suffering from. Please talk to me about your experience...

My blue 50 mg cipla sertraline pills get stuck in my throat. I can't dislodge them with water. They dissolve slowly, and feel like they are burning my throat. What is the ph of these pills? ## In most cases, that means that you aren't swallowing them with enough liquid. The proper way to take tablets is to place them as far back on your tongue as possible, to the point where you almost gag, then swallow them with a mouthful of water, and make sure to finish the full 8oz glass of water afterwards. If you are doing this, however, and are still having a problem, you should consult your doctor as it might be indicative of some other problem, such as acid reflux damage, or esophageal spasms. The reason it doesn't dislodge with water, or other liquid, is because the pill isn't...

Can you use it after it's expiration date? ## Hello, Cin! How are you? Medications tend to lose effectiveness over time and the problem that creates with an antibiotic is that it may not be quite strong enough to eradicate the bacteria that's caused an infection, which means that they are actually given the opportunity to develop resistance to the antibiotic and that has the potential to create serious health problems for you. It really is best to see your doctor for a new prescription. Learn more Ciprofloxacin details here. Antibiotics may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Are there any other questions or concerns?

I was prescribed ciprofloxan 500 mg.×2 a day iv taken 3 tablets and my abcess has doublrd in size since yesterday. It is going into my nose & eye area& now the right side of my neck. Im concerened as i have had a heart attack 2 yrs. ago. And am concerned of affects on my heart. ## Once you are a full 24 hours in to taking an antibiotic, you should not see any worsening. Since you have experienced more swelling, it may mean that this one isn't work for you and you should return to your dentist/doctor as you may need to try something else. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. So I was put on ciprofloxacin 2 times a day and am currently taking 10/325 percocets. I read somewhere that it is a major interaction between the two. Is there anyway maybe I can take them hrs apart? ## The only interaction I've been able to find is that Ciprofloxacin can increase the effectiveness of the Oxycodone. This doesn't mean they can't be taken together, just that your doctor should carefully consider your dosage and they should be monitoring you regularly to keep an eye on you, in case any problems arise. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this antibiotic as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with?

I'm currently being treated for prostatitis w/Cipro. Also have chronic epydidymitis. Originally prescribed Bactim, but showed no improvement after 4 days, so was given 60 day course of Cipro. I've researched Cipro on the internet and am now very concerned about being on a fluoroquinolone drug for such a long time. I also suffer a lot from issues related to my gut. Could I expect it to still be effective to stop the Cipro & go back & finish the Bactrim prescription now? I have completed 10 days on the Cipro and have about 6 days of pills left on the Bactrim. Meanwhile, I still have pain & symptoms related to my prostate & testicle. ## The Bactrim is more likely to cause you problems, since it is a sulfa based antibiotic and many people end up being very sensitive ...
