What Does A Simvastatin Pill Look Like

I have Simvastatin 20mg PINK oval pills stamped with AZ21. All "Pill Identifiers" online show BROWN or LIGHT BROWN as the color for 20mg strength. Please help since I may have a 10mg or 40mg pill that is mislabeled ???? ! Thx ## Where did you get them? It's important to note that the color doesn't actually mean anything, it is entirely up to the whit and whim of the manufacturer and they can change it at any time, if they wish. However, yes the listings cite this one as being a brown tablet and the images actually show it as being a very pale tan or beige color. Color is also a matter of perception, so what you're seeing as pink could be the same color I'm seeing in the identifier database images. Have you actually look at the images? There is a 40mg that is pink...

I have been taking Simvastatin for a few years now and would like to know if the following could be side effects: Increased salivation - if my mouth is open and my head forward, I sometimes dribble which is quite embarrassing (I'm only 63!) Quivery thumbs - that my doctor diagnosed as essential tremor but reading up on that suggests that the tremor occurs when using force - mine occurs when I'm relaxed or even sleeping according to my husband! Disturbed sleep - I get too warm in bed and that wakes me, as well as needing the loo, but in general I seem unable to sleep for more that 3 hours without a disturbance, and in the early mornings if I wake and look at the clock I'm relieved if it's a reasonable time to get up - I get fed up of being in bed but not being asleep. Any...

I used to look at a word and the spelling looked either correct or not. Now often I cannot recognise if a word is correctly spelt by looking at the spelling. I have discussed this with my UK GP and come off the drug and this problem appears to have improved after just a few days. I've Googled this problem and cannot find anything. Anybody in the USA experienced this problem please? Stewart. ## I haven't seen any reports of such issues, but it's hard to say how any medication may affect any particular person that takes it and I really wouldn't be surprised at much of anything from the Statin class of drugs. please identify a pill: oval shape, pink in color & the # 55 on it. ## Hi Jingles, Based on the description provided, I located a pink oval pill imprinted with "S 5" on one side and blank on the other. The "S" looks very similar to the "5" right next to it; exhibiting minor differences in curvature. Any chance that the "55" could be "S5"? The pill itself is identified as a 20mg Simvastatin tablet, prescribed for use in treating high cholesterol. For further verification, the manufacturer is reported to be Accord Healthcare. I hope this helps! Please post back if you still think it could be something else.

Hi everyone, I am curious if anyone has experienced intermittent vision loss while being on levothyroxine. For about two months now my vision in my left eye will randomly disappear for 2-3 seconds and then slowly dissipate back to normal. I've been through a litany of exams -- retinal, cardiovascular, MRI/MRA -- that are all coming back clear and now we're wondering if it could be the medications I am on. I am also on humalog, lisinopril and Simvastin. Has anyone experienced symptoms like this with levothyroxine? ## Hello, Julia! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. Looking over your list of mediations, there is a chance that it might be due to the Simvastatin, according to the FDA, it has been known to cause several vision issues, which usually g...

I need to find Lactose Free medications to do what the following drugs that contain lactose will accomplish what 1. Plavix 2. Zocor (Simvastatin) can accomplish. My husband has just spent 5 days in the hospital with a drug reaction to lactose and I need to be sure the others he is taking (those listed above containing lactose) can be replaced with something just as effective. ## To be honest, your best bet here might be to go to your local pharnacy, so they can look at the medications they have in stock or can order in and check the inactive ingredients for you. Both the Plavix and the Zocor are available as name brands and generics, which means there are quite a few on the market, manufactured by different companies. There really isn't any way to sort through all of them and check ...
