Will tramadol help with norco withdrawals? I am prescribed 6 10/325 per day and ran short. Will they take away the symptoms? ## @Auntie, Due to the serious nature of withdrawals I would probably encourage you to discuss this with your doctor before trying things out on your own, just to be on the safe side. Although I will say that a number of reviews I came across do "imply" that tramadol did help them manage their withdrawal symptoms for a period of time, whereas others ended up experiencing rebound effects shortly after stopping the tramadol. In either case it seems to me like everyone tends to respond differently and you might actually be better off getting a recommendation for a specific medication from a pain management doctor who already knows what options work best for t...

I've been xanax for 3 yrs the withdrawls are very intense and can be leathal depending on how bad you addiction is. when i have withdrawls im cold sweaty shaking puking the worst feeling ever and sometime have covulsions. if you wanna come off xanax do it slowly and let your doctor know ## Do NOT stop xanax cold turkey, it can kill you! I have been on xanax for 20 years. 1mg at night. I decided I did not want this drug to own me. I cut back to 1/4 of the 1 mg. Big mistake. Head hurt, confused, trouble walking, light headed. I talked to my doctor and he told me to take 1/2 mg for 6 months then go to 1/4 for 6 months. The first two days after I started taking the 1/4 of a mg, I do not remember anything of those two days. I started the 1/2 mg last night and I hope the withdrawls start ...

I am tapering off of suboxone, can cyclobenzaprine hc tab help me with the withdrawls. ## Hello, Lucky360! How are you? Cyclobenzaprine is a muscle relaxant, so it may help with some rebound issues that could occur, such as muscle cramping, but it's not likely to do much else. Its typical side effects can include nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Did your doctor prescribe it? ## Morning Veron, I'm OK so far, no my doc did not prescribe the benzaprine, I decided to tapper of the suboxones myself, but I'm running low on sub's, and I'm really scared, I really want to get of the sub's, its been 2 yes, I feel its time, I started @ 16 mg a day, now I'm @ half of 2 mg. But when I try to skip a day without, my body gets real bad. I really want to do this, do...

I have been on Pristiq for about 4 years and was on levoxyl for a few years prior. I had started taking Sarafem 925mg) about 8 or 9 yrs ago for pms by my gyno. I had thyroid cancer 11 years ago and I have not been the same since I had my thyroid removed. I dont know if I should be blaming the fact that I dont have a thyroid on my issues or if I am truly depressed. I want to be off Pristiq to see how I am now without any meds. I am having a lot of bad thoughts but don't know if that is part of the withdrawl. I have not had any brain zaps and I had taken my 50mg every other day for 2 weeks and am now on every 3rd day. I am feeling a little foggy with occasional dizziness and did cry on Mother's Day but I was missing my mom too so not sure what is realted to what. What will the Dr....

I want to get off of neurotin I'm takig 300 mg 3x daily how long will it take? ## My father has been taking 300 mg of neurontin every morning for approximately 3 years for treatment of neuropathic pain in his feet. He was diagnosed with dementia at least two years ago and his confusion and psychosis has progressively worsened. A nurse friend of mine told me I should immediately take him off the drug since her pharmacist advised her to do the same with her father whose psychotic behavior became worse when he started neurontin. She reports a remarkable improvement after he was off the drug three days. Should I try this and what are the risks? ## For anyone still seeking this information, since this medication works on brain chemicals, because it is an anticonvulsant, it should be slow...

I started Effexor XR 75mg in July of last year. I had insomnia for a month, and continuous dry mouth until I bought some a dry mouth oral rinse. I was brought up to 150mg in December or January. I started sweating a lot at night. Changing my clothes 3 to 4 times a night. Insomnia lasted about a month. During all of this time, I also experienced weight loss as it suppressed my cravings. I have tried twice to cold turkey it, and both times it ended in disaster. Suicidal thoughts being the main one. I went to the doctor, and I am now on 75mg daily. (i did get the wonderful brain zaps and mood swings for about a week) What my main concern is: when I upped the doses, certain side effects would calm down after a month. Night sweats and insomnia. They would still be there, just a lot less. Now...

my husband has been on baclofen for 2 years and is having trouble refilling his script because his dr. wont ok it to be refilled. Don't know why but I was wondering if somas would help ease his baclofen withdrawls? He is a quadroplegic and can't even throw up without my help. Can anyone help with something that will ease his withdrawls. ## Have you asked his doctor? There has to be some reason he won't authorize a refill and they should be willing to tell you. Has your husband been in for an appointment recently, or did he miss an appointment? Learn more Baclofen details here. They are both muscle relaxants, but since he is a quadriplegic, trying to give him another medication, without a doctor's approval could be very dangerous.

Will I have withdrawals after taking suboxin for a week ## Hi matt, From what others have been posting here, it sounds like most people only experience the serious withdrawal symptoms after being on it for much longer periods of time (i.e. several weeks, months, or years). I haven't actually heard about any cases of people having withdrawal symptoms (other than possible discomfort or trouble sleeping) within a week of taking it, but that could also depend on how much you were taking? I would recommend verifying your intent to taper with your doctor first just to be on the safe side... and if you feel like you've developed any sort of tolerance to the drug within that short time frame, it might be wise to at least wean down a little bit before deciding to quit. Your doctor can al...

how long does the nausea and vomiting last? ## There is no way to say with certainty, much of it depends on the person. Without more information, such as the dosage and how long you were on it, I can't even really provide you with a rough estimate. Can you post back with more details? Thanks! This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## I started out on the 12.5 mcg. moving up to the 75 mcg over a eight month period. made me awful sick, weight loss, vomiting, abdominal pain ect.. went back down to the 50 mcg then 25 mcg. took that patch off 30 days ago. still having slight withdrawls. but, the nausea ( all the time) and vomiting ( 2-3 times a week) are very ...

I have been taking amitripfyline 100mg for about 3 years. My doctor has switched me to Cymbalta 60mg and I seem to be having some nasty withdrawls. My head feels all fuzzy and I'm having zapping sensations. i don't feel like myself. Does anyone know something I can do about it? ## Hello, Kristi! How are you? Has anything changed? It is normal to experience side effects, when stopping one medication, according to the NIH, you are also likely experiencing side effects from starting the new one. Other symptoms you may experience are listed as possibly including nausea, dry mouth, mood swings and weight changes.

i have severe hot&cold flashes with high blood pressure, freezing, sweating, weakness and shakes ## I had the same symptoms in my early twenties; although, I never verified the high blood pressure at the time. I was subsequently diagnosed with hypoglycemia(sp?). I withdrew sugar completely from my diet--no small feat for me--for about two years and made sure I drank a glass of milk mixed with high protein powder every day (watch out for calories!). My symptoms completely disappeared. Taking sugar completely out of your diet may be a little too much for you, but in my case, the symptoms were severe and occured frequently. I suggest you see a doctor first. OR If you are nearing menopause, as I am at this point in my life, the very same symptoms apply, also. I had breast cancer about 12 y...

Pain mgmt. just switched me from 10mg Vicodin every 4 hrs to 25mcg Fentanyl patch every 3 days with 7.5 Vicodin every 6-8 hrs for breakthrough. Started patch last week. I am now into my 4th day off of suboxane. The side effects are getting better. I used .5mg xanax, sometimes I took up to four the first two days off of suboxane. What can I expect for side effects from the w/drawl, how fast should I go so that I don't hurt myself. Somepeople seem to have no effects...I doubt I will be THAT lucky! Any suggestions? I DO NOT want to see a DR because I am afraid they will put me on something else. The DR is the one who started all this in the first place due to an arm injury 2yrs ago and oxycotin RX's. I dont know why he is doing this but i did get clonodines .1 mg once a day at night from him since i hav to hurry up with methadone now cause actually i had to increase gaba for it to continue working and now i have even less gaba. So my question is how long does it take for clonodines to work and is only once a day enough? ## Clonidine usually tends to have some effect shortly after taking it, generally within 20 to 30 minutes, so some people do take it on an as needed basis, rather than taking it all the time.
