Does anyone know why Watson generic 10/500mg Lortab is no longer available? I am a chronic pain sufferer and have been on this medication for many years. Now my Pharmacy has changed to a different generic and they do not relieve pain. My Dr. told me to change Pharmacies in order to get the Watson Lortab but other Pharmacies don't carry them either. They have a pink one. ## i live in alabama and my mother in law takes lortab 10. i found the blue ones at walgreens. hope this helps. ## FDA NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release: January 13, 2011 The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is asking manufacturers of prescription combination products that contain acetaminophen to limit the amount of acetaminophen to no more than 325 milligrams (mg) in each tablet or capsule. I just picked up my RX for generic Lortab and was told that lortab will no longer be made, I am a chronic pain sufferer and I have severe back pain along with severe nerve damage, I have been on this medicine for a while now and it works for me, now I have to ask my doctor about some other medicine that may or may not work. I dont know what else that I can use or tolerate. I need information on other types of medicines in this group. ## It will still be made. The tylenol will be lower but the hydrocodone will be in 5, 7.5 and 10 mg. Sometime in 2014 hydrocodone combination products will become Schedule II which means no refills, rx has to be written can't be called in, etc. They will still make it, it is too big of a money maker for the pharmaceutical companies. ## Hello, Vicki! How...

I was taking Watson hydrocodone acetaminophen 5mg 500,the doctor switched me to Watson 10 500 ,the white ones, but for some reason the 5s worked better than the 10s.anybody know why this is? ## Hello, Jim! How are you? No, there is nothing available to let anyone know why this is happening. It is claimed that they only removed the dye from them. Are you sure that the dosage is the same? Because as of January 1, 2014 the ones with these higher amounts of Acetaminophen are no longer available. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## I took them to 3 different pharmacies and they all said they were 10 500s,1 pharmacist said his wife was saying the same thing.I ...

is watson 861 a lortab 10? ## No! i had problem with my low back pain ## I am sorry, I am not sure what you are asking. There are no tablets that contain 75mgs of the Hydrocodone or the Acetaminophen that makes up Lortab. Where can I find them? they keep changing them all the time. is it because you need to pay for them out of pocket instead of getting it on Medi-Cal? ## Hello, Hugo! How are you? I'm sorry, but the ones with the 500mgs of Acetaminophen in them are no longer available. The maximum amount of Acetaminophen that is now approved for these combination medications is no more than 325mgs per dose. Thus, if you have a prescription for one with the higher amount, you'll need to see your doctor for a new prescription. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Having Medi-Cal has nothing to do with it.

I have been a chronic low back pain patient for 3 years now and been on the lortab 10/500mg the entire time. Iv been receiving the pink V3600 lortabs, but for the last 3 months my pharmacist told me there was a recall on them. but today he had a shipment of them in, but i was getting the bpue Watson 540 lortabs and in my opinion i do know they are the same thing. but even my pharmacist told me that not only me but lits of pain patients prefer the pink to any other lortab because they seem to take effect faster and last alot longer, i go to a owner operator pharmacy instead of wapgreens because a individual pharmacy gives you the option to pick your preference you may have to pay extra as i have to pay what my inaurance does not. but i would try a individuals or family pharmacy because a...

Two weeks after I started taking the new white watson 10 mg lortab I began to develop blisters on the back of my hands and wrist as well as noticing that they are not near as strong. I used to take 1/2 blue pill in the morning for years but now I need two whole white ones to be able to move around. Sucks!!! I also developed white bumps on my ankles and swelling in my left foot but not painful or any itching. anyone else? ## Hi, Jo! Sorry about the problems you're having… And yes, there are plenty of other people that have posted about experiencing odd side effects from them and stating that they don't seem to be as effective. Those blisters are concerning, it could be an allergic reaction to something they've used in these ones. Have you consulted your doctor? You real...

Can we take something else to get back the 175mg of Tylenol in some way to get back the pain reliever? (Blue watson vs. white watson) if they took OUT the dye and they took OUT 175mg of the Tylenol then why is the pi;; the same size? What did they replace it with they could be causing my issues? blisters, white bumps and swelling ## Hi jo, Sorry to hear about those strange side effects you've been experiencing recently. It sounds to me like there's something drug manufacturers are not telling us. Surely it'll come out of the wood work over the next few years when the FDA decides to investigate why so many patients aren't getting any relief from these new meds. A lot of the time, certain side effects can also be associated with all the binders and fillers they put in each...

Does anyone know what Watson did or why they changed their formula for Lortab 10/500? It used to be blue and when I picked up my refill today they are now white. I still have a few days of my blue left but I swapped a few so I can try the white. I'm waiting for it to start working and I took it over 2 hours ago. My rx is 1-2 every 3 hours not to exceed 7 in a day. (my pm dr wants me on a stronger med but anything above hydrocodone makes me euphoric and I can't function) The blue color lortab starts to work within 15 mins. I took my first white color lortab 2 hours ago, waited an hour and took the 2nd and nothing. I will wait 30 mins longer and switch back to the blue until I run out. This sucks. I just got the ip 112 tablets from my pharmacy they switched from watsons. This new kind makes me go through withdrawal symptoms like i'm taking nothing but Tylenol! They are so much weaker than the watson brand. There is not anything I can do about it but hope after several days my body adjust to this weaker brand. I never take more than three a day. Why is this kind so different than the Watson brand? I feel awful right now and it is not fair because I did nothing wrong! ## There can be slight fluctuations in generic medications. If you were taking the Watson ones for a long time and then suddenly got these ones and they're a little lower in the Hydrocodone, it could be causing you to experience such issues. These contain 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen, is t...

Besides the manufacturer, is there any real difference between the two different kinds of pills? ## Besides the difference in manufacturers, there may be a significant difference in the inactive ingredients in each pill. Inactive ingredients found in M363 are: crospovidone magnesium stearate microcrystalline cellulose povidone corn starch silicon dioxide stearic acid Each Watson 540 tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: croscarmellose sodium crospovidone magnesium stearate microcrystalline cellulose povidone starch steari...
