Has anyone had any experience of vomiting with Lisinopril? I've been prescribed them today, after two weeks of home monitoring of blood pressure. I've read a few horror stories, but few positive ones (largely, I think as people generally comment on negatives and not positives). Most of the side effects of this, or any medication, don't bother me, but I do have a severe phobia of vomiting. A few comments I've read elsewhere have indicated that coughing can be so bad it induces vomiting or triggers the gag reflex. What have your experiences of lisinopril been, particularly with regard to gastrointestinal issues, particularly nausea and vomiting? I was prescribed a 30mg morphine gell tablet yesterday he said to take one last night at 8 o'clock, and the next one this morning at 8 o'clock and so on for a week then go back to him. After taking this morning one I went shopping and on return at 12.30 I had a cup of tea and within 15 minutes vomited tremendously, so I ate nothing and just drunk water. Then at around 3.30 I vomited again quite a lot, in all I have vomited 4 times and the last lost was green. Should I take the next tablet due at 8 p.m. this evening. I was given betamox 250 and flustat for a flu infection. I started taking it yesterday and have experienced bad nausea and vomiting for the past two nights. I have never had such a reaction from antibiotics before. Could it be from it or the combination of the two? I am thinking of stopping the medication ## Hello, Nat! How are you? It is hard to say, because those can be side effects of both of them. The U.S. FDA lists other typical side effects as possibly including dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Hi, I am 9 weeks pregnant, my OB prescribed Zofer 8mg for nausea and vomitting. i have been using it for 11 days now. is it safe to use in early stages of pregnancy and als prescribed by my OB. ## Hello, Dija! I started taking 10mg Brintellix 2 weeks ago ( also taking lithium). After weaning of mirtazipine - what a nightmare!!!!. I have been constantly sick , suffering insomnia, mood swings, no appetite,etc. Is this normal crossover symptoms and do I give the Brintellix more time?? .I have tried nearly every antidepressant around. I drank the first bottle of Suprep and it began to work right away. I had to drink the second while on the toilet. I got really cold and the shivers started. Then I got nausea. I vomited about an hour and a half after drinking this awful tasting stuff. My question is will it still work for the colonoscopy tomorrow. ## It would be best to check with your doctor to be sure. But have you still been having bowel movements? If so, then it is probably still working. I have been on Contrave for 3 months. I have battled nausea all along, hoping it would go away. I've lost 15 pounds. The pill seems to make everything taste bad. Coffee, spicy food, even just scrambled eggs taste bitter and gritty. I didn't have any other side effect. This past week, the nausea has moved on to vomiting. I've used Tumms and Dramamine as well as a prescription anti nausea med on and off for all three months. I truly feel poisoned. I feel ridiculous that I have used this knowingly for 3 months and endured feeling sick. I've spent a lot of money and feel terrible even a week after stopping the drug. Please don't take this. I started my program today. 4mg per day is the magic number. I had to take one 2mg then wait an hour to see the Dr again. Then given another 2mg. When I left I felt like I was high. About an hour later I started to throw up. Does it help to take this with food? I know it's a side affect, does it go away? ## I am not sure how much taking it with food would help, since it is making you sick. You may want to consult with the doctor or a pharmacist before trying that. They may also have some other ideas on how to help the nausea. I was taking 2 pills per day (1AM & 1PM)of EX400 Gauifenesin to loosen thick mucous for 3 days and stop, then I experience sudden severe nausea and vomiting (6x) for 3 hours. Then I took Reglan & Benadryl to stop the dizziness and vomiting. ## Reglan?? Oh my!! Have you not seen all the warnings about reglan and tardiff disconesia sp? I used to take reglan for swallowing until it started to make my face grimace!! As for Guafenesin / Guafinex (cough syrup) you should see the properties in that drug. My sister has a seizure disorder and if anything cold-related is treated with Guafenesin or anything containing Guafinex ...she is screwed, and automatically goes into seizure state. It sounds like it's from something you may have ate (food poisoning possibly). There have been a large number of recalls for certain foods recently, if that is the case. Either way I would recommend checking in with your doctor or going to urgent care. They can better evaluate your condition in person by checking all levels of your health and medical history. In the meantime I would suggest sticking to mostly fresh raw fruits and vegetables for your diet and limit dairy products and poultry. Dairy is mucous forming and can possibly worsen the effects. I started vomiting about two weeks ago right after eating pizza and couldn't keep anything down. A week later, after multiple hours after eating a slice of pizza I got sick again, right after taking my pill and a woman's one a day vitamin. Friday I took one before bed and Saturday morning before going to work. I got a call that work was canceled so I went back to bed. About 7am I started to run a high fever I was sweating bad. Many things could interact dangerously, or aggravate her condition. I have bipolar disorder and have been on almost everything for it, was taking depakote and Saphris which worked great but I gained a ton of weight so doc switched me to lamotrigine because it’s weight neutral. Starting off at 25mg/day and working up to 300mg/day. Gradually by the time I got up to 100 in the morning and 150 at nite I had a RELENTLESS bronchial cough that wouldn’t respond to any kind of treatment, that became so violent that I would start vomiting until everything was completely gone from my stomach.
