Why is B17 the only vitamin illegal in the United states? ## There are many whole foods that 'naturally' contain Vitamin B17. The link below shows a list of these common food sources: As to why this Vitamin is considered to be illegal in the US, I have no concrete explanation, but can only guess that it has to do with money; the same reasons why medical marijuana is illegal at the federal level; Studies show it's benefits far outweigh its cons when compared to other medications or drugs. But the government doesn't know how to make money off of something that grows naturally around the world. Not to get off topic, but this appears to be the same reason Vitamin B17 is considered illegal even though it's found in abundance in many foods. It has potent anticancer propert...

I've kept my coumadin levels very steady because I eat the same thing every day, one half of a bag of prewashed lettuce. Depending on the kind, the bags are normally 7or 9 ounces. The thing is I'm getting tired of it. So without changing my coumadin, how much fresh green beans or canned green beans should I eat? And is there a good place to find these answers? ## Hello, Robert! How are you? What type of lettuce? Not all of it is high in vitamin K, for instance iceberg lettuce is actually very low in it. However, you should also be okay with green beans, because they are also listed as being very low in it. A search for vitamin k levels in foods will turn up several websites that list the information for you, all are free to access. The FDA classifies Coumadin as a blood thinner ...

Vitamin K refers to structurally similar, fat-soluble vitamers found in foods and marketed as dietary supplements.[1] The human body requires vitamin K for post-synthesis modification of certain proteins that are required for blood coagulation (K from koagulation, Danish for "coagulation") or for controlling binding of calcium in bones and other tissues.[2] The complete synthesis involves final modification of these so-called "Gla proteins" by the enzyme gamma-...

What is Vitamin A made of? Can it cause poisoning? ## There are actually several things it may be derived from, so it depends on which supplement you purchase. It is also naturally available in many foods. And yes, it can cause toxicity, but only if someone takes extremely large amounts, so one should never exceed the recommended dosage or RDA, as listed by the FDA. Is there anything else I can help with?

B vitamins are a class of water-soluble vitamins that play important roles in cell metabolism and synthesis of red blood cells.[1] Though these vitamins share similar names (B1, B2, B3, etc.), they are chemically distinct compounds that often coexist in the same foods.[1] In general, dietary supplements containing all eight are referred to as a vitamin B complex. Individual B vitamin supplements are referred to by the specific number or name of each vitamin, su...

I am trying to find out who makes strovite. It seems as though Evertt no longer does. ## Based on information I could find online, Evertt seemed to be the only manufacturer of these vitamins. Have you tried looking up the ingredients to see if there are any other brands that come close to Strovites nutritional profile? If I could suggest a solid multi-vitamin and mineral supplement, I'd have to go with "Garden of Life Vitamin Code" It's comprised of raw vitamins and minerals from whole foods that haven't been denatured or heated. Definitely a strong competitor among non-prescription based alternatives. I hope this info helps!

I'm 32 yr old women, I been losing a lot of weight I'm suppost to be 160 and now I'm in 125 what vitamins are good to gain my weight back and fast.. Thank you. ## Hi Muneca22, If you're looking to gain weight, vitamins can be a great way to help supplement your nutrient intake, providing energy, as well as improving absorption of the foods you eat. However, I think It might be a good idea to have blood work done first in order to determine whether you have any nutrient deficiencies - that way you can know without a doubt what specific nutrient(s) your body is lacking in. A standard multivitamin could probably suffice in terms of replacing deficiencies, but from my experience, raw vitamins and minerals derived from whole fruits/vegetables tend to be best since they are no...

Howmany use evion 400 capsule vitamin e in per day.. Plz tell me.. ## Hi Dharmik, Based on my research, the dosing indications for Evion are usually 100-300 mgs per day. If necessary however, the dosing guidelines state that you can also talk to your doctor about upping the dose to as much as 1 gram a day. So taking 400 mgs once a day still falls under safe dosing protocols. Additionally, below you can find a number of different foods that contain high amounts of Vitamin E: Avocado Blackberries Black Currants Blueberries Boysenberries Breadfruit Cranberries Guava Kiwi Loganberries Mango Mulberries Nectarine Papaya Peach Pomegranate Raspberries Butternut Squash Parsnip Potatoes Pumpkin Spirulina Swiss Chard Taro Almonds Filberts/Hazelnuts Pine Nuts/Pignolias Sunflower Seeds I hope this i...

Hanizyn multivitamins is it safe for pregnant? ## Yes, multivitamins are commonly given to pregnant women, because few of them are able to actually eat enough of the proper foods to ensure they are getting enough vital nutrients for both them and the baby. They do, however, tend to be a little potent and might cause some nausea, when you take it. If it does, you might want to try to taking it with a small meal or snack. Are there any other questions? ## is hanizyn multivitamins is for pregnant only? ## Hanizyn vitamin b and iron: what are its skin benefits especially to acne

I'm 30 years old and my weight is 88.2pounds I want to gain some more pounds what is the best vitamins should I take. ## Generally, vitamin "deficiencies" are what influences weight gain; not necessarily the other way around. In my honest opinion, if you're looking to gain weight in the most natural and healthful way, it'll likely involve significant changes in one's diet and exercise habits. Meals may include whole nutrient dense foods with little to no empty calories, so you can get the most nutrition out of each and every bite. Another suggestion is to supplement with something that will help increase your appetite. Depending on your view, cannabis has extreme appetite increasing properties; however there are other pills/products/supplements out there that can...

Is there any other medications to avoid while drinking these... whatvare the side effects. My father was taking these and he had very bad nauseas, had zero appetite for over a week. He was taking other medicatios along ans I wanted to know if this was the problem ## From what I could gather there aren't any vitamins that interact with Diclofenac. If this were the case, you wouldn't be able to eat anything, since all, if not most foods contain vitamins and minerals whether they are fortified or naturally occurring. However it is still important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. I also wanted to note that both "nausea" as well as a "loss of appetite" are listed as severe side effects of Diclofenac. In which case ...

That would be choline, which the NIH lists as helping to reduce the risk of neural tube defects, fatty liver disease and other body pathologies. It is an essential component of your cell membranes. I live in Indonesia and unfortunately, the labels here are not as complete as it would be in other countries. I am currently taking - 1. Sangobion (Ferrous Gluconate, Manganese, Sulfate, Copper Sulfate, Vit C, Folic Acid, Vit B, Sorbitol), 2. Enervon-C Multivitamins, 3. Evening Primrose Oil and 4. Levothyroxine. I think the EPO is gluten-free, but I am not sure of the rest. I would appreciate your feedback as I am new at this and I would hate to have gluten hidden in my vitamins / medicine while I avoid all the foods that I used to love. :( Thank you in advance!

Is There An Affordable way to get This Done? thx for any help :) ## Hi darren, I wish I was there to have a look at your kitchen counter, as I have done a wealth of research in this particular field of study. I want to know what are the veg. those contain vitamin B12 ## Neither plants nor animals make vitamin B12. Bacteria are responsible for producing vitamin B12. Animals only get their vitamin B12 from eating foods contaminated with vitamin B12 and then the animal becomes a source of vitamin B12. Plant foods do not contain vitamin B12 except when they are contaminated by microorganisms or have vitamin B12 added to them. Thus, vegans need to look to fortified foods or supplements to get vitamin B12 in their diet. Very small amounts of vitamin B12 have been found in plants grown in soil treated with manure. It is not clear whether this vitamin B12 is the active form or the inactive analogue. In any case, the amounts are so small that more than 23 cups of organically grown spinach would have ...

I'm taking Metoprolol Tartrate 50mg since June 2012 and it says I can't take multivitamins while I'm on these. I've been having menstrual cramping but when I was taking multivitamins I really didn't have them. Is there a way that I can take multivitamins without interfering with the metoprolol? ## Hi Ann, I find this interaction to be odd, simply because there are vitamins and minerals in all of the foods we eat. By saying that you can't take multivitamins, it's essentially saying that you can't eat period, which makes no sense by any means of logical thinking. Lol! If I had to suggest something, it would be taking raw multivitamins (such as the one's by Garden of Life). These vitamins are still in their natural unaltered state and therefore should be...
