stronger antihistmine than vistaril

I use vistaral for severe itching due to my hepatitis c, sometimes it helps but more than often it does not help. Any suggestions to what else I can take to relieve the itching all over my body, there is no rash. I have been to an allergist. Vistaril/Hydroxyzine can be taken in doses up to 100mgs, every 6 hours for a maximum of 400mgs a day. However, for those with severe problems, it can be used in amounts up to 600mgs a day. I have been on lamictal 50 mg and have recently went up 150 mg @ day. have been experiencing numbness, tingling, and loss of strenght in my left arm and left leg only. has any one else had similar side effects? ## You don't say why doctor prescribed Lamictal. I'm on 100 mg for hemiplegic migraines. Left side is weak and right side is numb. Symptoms are not from the medication but rather the type of headache.
