Versed Midazolam

Midazolam, sold under the brand name Versed, among others, is a benzodiazepine medication used for anesthesia, procedural sedation, trouble sleeping, and severe agitation.[4] It works by inducing sleepiness, decreasing anxiety, and causing a loss of ability to create new memories. It is important to note that this drug does not cause an individual to become unconscious, merely be sedated.[4] It is also useful for the treatment of seizures.[6] Mi...

I was to be prepped for Spinal Injections. This was the drug given. At the time I didn't know why I was AMPED to the max. Became apparent when I was given it again for a 'TEE' (TransEsophagealEchocardiogram). My Neurologist said I was having a "Reversed Reaction". I was given this drug again along with Versed for spinal cord stimulator trial implant. I've never been so jittery and hyper in my life! Like I'd taken a handful of Amphetamines!! Now they want me to have a Colonoscopy!!! I THINK NOT!!! ## Unfortunately, that is a possible side effect of most medications, according to NIH studies. Some of them do cause the opposite of their intended effect in some people that take them. I have experienced it myself when taking Bupropion and my doctor warned me not t...

I am having minor surgery in about eight days. I have been taking about 8mg of Suboxone for opiate addiction for the past four months. The sedation for my surgery typically requires iv fentanyl and iv versed, however since I am taking Suboxone, this combination will not be effective. I was advised to take more than my usual dose of Suboxone the day of the procedure and will only be administered the iv versed. I was told the higher does of sub WITH the versed will make me comfortable enough to tolerate any pain. I am very scared this is not going to help my pain and I will feel everything!!! I know the versed will help anxiety, but will upping the dose of my sub really work for pain??? If so, how much more should I take? ## Usually, a person is told to stop the Suboxone for a few days, b...

Can I take celebrex, decaadron, beneadryl, emend, propofol, versed and fentanyl, just for one day with 40mg if methadone ## The Fentanyl and Methadone can both increase the amounts of each other that you absorb, so it would be best not to mix them, unless your doctor approves. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. There are also several issues among the others with the Fentanyl and Methadone, because many of them can cause sedation, which could be too much for some people. Is there anything else I can help with?

Oval shape, white with ROCHS 7.5 on it ## Hello, Terri! How are you? From what I've been able to find, this is listed as containing 7.5mgs of Midazolam, more commonly known by the brand name Versed. The FDA lists this as being a benzodiazepine, which is most commonly used to treat anxiety and for its sedative like effects. It carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Is there anything else I can help with?

need a doctor in the greater hamilton, nj area for triggerpoint therapy ## Hi Michelle, According to Wikipedia's article on trigger point, "Among MDs, many specialists are well versed in trigger point diagnosis and therapy. These include physiatrists (physicians specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation), family medicine, and orthopedics. Osteopathic as well as chiropractic schools, however, include trigger points in their training. Other health professionals, such as occupational therapists, physiotherapists, acupuncturists, massage therapists and structural integrators are also aware of these ideas and many of them make use of trigger points in their clinical work as well." So based on that information, I think it just comes down to which type of doctor or pract...

im a 180 pound 21 year old male and a first time user of the abg 60 and im wondering if its too much for first time. ive had the sulfates but that was years ago. I use norco 10mg about once every couple weeks for pain. I usally take 3 norco 10mg at first sign of pain lol so I am versed a lil in the opiates. ## The usual adult dosage schedule for extended release tablets such as ABG 60 (Morphine sulphate extended-release 60 mg - NDC 0591-3513) ranges from 10 mg to 600 mg daily, given in equally divided doses every 8 to 12 hours or given as one dose every 24 hours. Since the dosage gap for extended release tablets is so large, I think it's safe to say that 60mgs still sits on the lower end of the dosage spectrum. I'd probably recommend doing a trial run for a week or so just to se...

Thank you. ## That is a far more difficult situation than anyone can advise you about online. If you don't like the information she has received from her doctor's then seek a second opinion from someone who can view her medical records and who would be versed in the usage of this drug in such cases. ## hi i need to know about panceras so

Rottweiler his 3rd verba bray bone is believe to affected the vet gave him this drug. He is now stumbling all over the place. This is either cause by the medicine or the bone. Answers Please ## Hello, Hawg! How are you? This is an antibiotic and the FDA lists its typical side effects, in canines, as possibly including nausea, dizziness, diarrhea and drowsiness. Thus, it may actually be a combination of both, since this medication can cause dizziness. However, I am not well versed on the use of mediations in animals, so I advise you to consult your veterinarian to be sure. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hi, I am long time anxiety patient - i've been on paxil, buspar, lexapro, zanaflex, remrom, flexiril, tricyciclants, trazodone - you name it. Also, with this I have had bad insomnia. I will not sleep for nights at a time, and it is affecting my work as well as my social life. I have tried (for sleep) Lunesta 2-4mg, Ambien 20mg, Sonata 40mg, and Prosom 2mg. I also aso tried restriol. For anxiety I have been on Ativan, Valium, Klonopin, and Versed. At the time, none of the night medicines work, I will even combine them. My anxiety (which is so common in my family) keeps me up. The problem is, they tend to either prescribe one (sleep medicine) or the other (anxiety). I have insurance, and would be willing to see a doctor. MY GAD is so awful lately, it's maybe Er TIME. So, does anyo...

Can 0.5 mg Alprazolam be used as a nerve pill? ## Will taking 0.5 xanax twice daily help me avoid withdrawals from 5 mg of valium twice daily? I'm worried. ## Alprazolam (Zanax) can possibly help you with withdrawal from diapazepam (Valium) The problem you may run into is the half life of each medication. Alprazolam (Xanax) is a very short acting benzodiazepine, while diazepam (valium) has a much longer half life If you are not in recovery from alcohol or other medications, you can use alcohol for withdrawal symptoms from benzodiazepines (Valium, Klonopin, Versed, Ativan, Xanax, Librium, etc,) Interestingly enough, the human brain cannot distinguish between benzodiazepines and alcohol. In fact they adhere to the same receptor sites in our tiny little brains. So if you find the Xanax...

Hi, I have chronic pain. I have Interstitial Cystitis, have chronic pelvic pain, shoulder pain, neck and back pain, etc. I am a 45 year old woman who has had 4 children so you'd think that I would be able to handle pain. However, I cannot. At 5'9" tall, I only weigh 115 pounds so you'd think that pain meds would hit me like a ton of bricks! They don't. I have a very low threshold for pain, but a very high threshold for pain medication or just medication in general. For instance, I had a hysterectomy two weeks ago. Before the surgery I was given Versed. Versed does NOTHING for me. I told the Anesthesiologist but he gave it to me anyway. It does not cause amnesia in me like it does in most people nor does it have a sedating effect. So he then gave me a dose of Fentanyl...

I have a full bottle of these pills and my dog has a bladder infection. He is 126 lbs. Can I give him these? They expire in June so I won't be using them. ## Hi smokey, Based on my research, it should be ok for your dog as long as you're administering the correct dosage. The recommended dosage of Amoxicillin + Clavulanic acid is listed at 12.5mg (per kilogram of body weight). That amount is to be taken twice daily for treating most general infections (including UTI's). If you have any other questions pertaining to proper dosing or administration, you may also want to contact a local veterinary office, since they are well versed in this field of study. I hope this info helps and wish your dog a quick recovery! ## Hello, my 10 pound maltese has an ear infection. I have leftove...
