Switched from effexor(venlafaxine) to celexa (citalopram)

Hi....Here's the short version of my story. I was on effexor for 13 years, started out at 37.5mg for probably 9 years and had absolutely No problems with anxiety. I was so good that I decided to stop taking it. Felt great for 3 months then I had a terrible attack in the middle of the night. Went to doc she put me back on and all said and done was up to 225mg to make me feel "normal". From there I stayed on that dose until about 6 weeks ago. Again I woke up in the middle of the night with a panic attack. Unfortunately they don't just stop, they go on for days and weeks! I immediately went to my doc and she upped me to 300mg of effexor, after a couple weeks we decided it just wasn't working anymore. We chose citalopram as the next option because my brother has had succ... ...

Aurobindo Pharma Venlafaxine vs Teva and Zylus combination

I have never been successful on the Aurobindo Venlafaxine. I have tried a combo of Teva (150mg) and Zylus (37.5 mg) for 30 days to great success. I want to take the generic version as the brand is over $1000 for 90-days, with insurance. I got the 30-day's worth locally at Publix to try it. Now I’ve received the 90-day prescription from the mail and it’s the Aurobindo brand. Could there be a difference? The one thing my dr is doing this time is she has increased the dosage by 37.5 mg. I don’t know if that is why it’s working or if it’s that it’s NOT the Aurobindo brand? I would greatly appreciate any opinions. ## How much difference is GENERIC FROM BRAND IN STRENGTH ETC? ## I'm not familiar with that brand of medication but I do know that every... ...
