I have been on Sprintec until 11/2012 when I got pregnant. My daughter was born 9/2013 and I breastfed (on minipill) until 10/2014. I'm now on the first week of my second pack of Tri-previfem (subbed by pharmacy) and I am dying! I have severe vaginal dryness and itching. I am only 29 years old, so I'm not nearing menopause. I plan to make an ob/gyn appt after the holiday weekend, but was wondering if this is a common side affect of this drug or of it could be related to "my hormones changing" from breastfeeding. ## Hello, Kay! I took low dose Bactrim for 5 weeks for a UTI. While on it I started having vaginal burning. Called Dr about it who advised me to stop taking it. That was almost 4 weeks ago and still having vaginal pain and burning. Vulva is all red and inflamed. Very little itching. Tested negative for yeast and bacteria. Can't understand why it's gotten worse when I've been off the drug for 4 weeks! ## Are you on any other medications? Are you actively engaging in intercourse? Do you frequently take tub baths, or use a hot tub? There are various reasons why this could occur, according to FDA and NIH reports. Are you diabetic? I have vaginal dryness. I tried activella, which caused problems. I also used an estring before and it was very effective. However, my new dr. said it's not safe. Is this true? I really liked the estring. ## Your doctor can help you decide what is best for you. KY makes several different types of lubricant that work very well and they can be purchased at most drug stores. ## My doctor recommended Astroglide which works much better and for longer than the KY products. I am post menopausal. I was prescribed Estring because intercourse was becoming very painful. I used almost 2 rounds of Estring (3 months + 1.5) Estring really helped rebuild my atrophic vagina. Being intimate is not fine but I have a new problem: a terrible vaginal smell. When i remove the ring, the smell disappears. Interestingly, i didn't have this smell the first 3 months. I have a full prescription bottle of Clotrimazole 10 mg troche. They were issued to me December 26, 2013. Today is January 13, 2017. They've been kept in my dresser drawer in bedroom in controlled temperature indoors. I currently have Oral Thrush in my mouth and a vaginal yeast infection . Make sure you don't have trichomonias. That cannot be cured with creams or antibiotics. The drug of choice is usually flagyl. This infection causes pain with intercourse, green, awful smelling discharge and is caused by protozoan not bacteria. Have a pap at once, I advise. Good luck.

I am 22 and I'm suffering from severe infection in my vagina. This led to many big bumps on and around vulva. These bumps are having white liquid in it and is very painful giving burning sensation.
