White round pill with 198 on one side of the pill and the letter U on the other side. What is it used for? ## Hi Brenda, I came across a strikingly similar pill description and just wanted to share it with you in case yours might've been misinterpreted (not saying it was though). This particular pill I found is white round and has an imprint that's opposite to yours "n 861" if you held it upside down. It contains 10mgs of Dexmethylphenidate hydrochloride, used for treating ADHD and is a product of Gavis Pharmaceuticals. Does this sound like a possible match? ## Yes, my friend asked me if i knew what it was, which i did not. He had 2 different ones. One was that one, and the other was white round with 93 on one side, the other side was blank ...

Anyone know what this pill is along with some sources to back it? ## Hi Jeff, From what I could gather, this is reportedly a 100 mg Atenolol Tablet, marketed under the brand name Tenormin. However, I'm finding that sources to back this up are scarce to come by, and I'm not sure why that might be unless it's a foreign or counterfeit medication. A comment in another thread had also mentioned what the diameter/size of the pill is supposed to be: Discuss/cyclobenzaprine-191970.htm Maybe that clue can at least be verified if you have a way to measure it. I hope this helps! ...

Found round white pill in brown cottle dated 1956. Rx #6052. Could be Valum. ## Hi James, How's it going? I just tried looking up the Rx number you provided, but after a few searches came to realize that this number can't actually be used to identify any pill in particular. I believe it's supposed to be a number the pharmacy might use within their realm of keeping track of prescriptions. However if you still happen to have the pill in your possession, I would encourage you to post back with any additional markings that might be on it as well. This way we can know for certain that it is what you say it is and not something else in the wrong bottle. I hope this helps and I'll look forward to hearing back from you! ...

Round White Pill With 5 Over 73
2 Replies RSS Share
What type of pill is this. It is round, white and has a 5 above the line and a 73 below the line. ## After trying several variations of "5 73" I haven't been able to locate a match in any of the U.S. prescription drug databases. Odds are that it could be either manufactured outside of the U.S. or that it is an over the counter medication, as OTC meds aren't required to be listed in the drug databases. If you're able to, I would consider taking the pill over to your local pharmacy and having it analyzed by their team to see if they can come up with anything. Also double check the marking if you think there's more to it than what you stated. Did you find this pill off the street by chance? Hopefully someone else on here has some information on it.... ...

What is a white round pill imprinted with "0115 4652"? ## I think the pill is a form of Donnatal. I found an old prescription bottle under my dresser from 1988. Pills are round, white, and blank on one side with 0115 4652 printed on the other. Looks like the medicine name on the bottle is typed as "Donnatoli.c." When I look that up, Donnatal comes up. My prescription was for cramps - Donnatal is for that (IBS relief, among other things). Hope this helps :) ...

i got these pills, i was told they are dilaudid, is this correct? because i took one by injection and it it made me puke all day...if someone could maybe help me out and tell me why they made me so sick. thanks ## These do contain 4mgs of Hydromorphone, the active ingredient in Dilaudid. However, nausea can be one of its side effects and since pills are not intended to be dissolved and injected, that probably explains why you were so ill. When you do that, you are injecting all of the medication, at once and it doesn't get a chance to dissolve slower, like it would if you swallowed the tablet. Are there any comments or questions? ## You either a) got cotton fever or b) the things you used to prepare with weren't sterile and you got bacteria in your blood stream. Either way you... ...
