Tylenol Eq Acetaminophen 325

I have a right below the knee amputation due to a land mine that happened in 1968, have never needed pain meds up until 2 to 3 years ago at which time my doc prescribed hydroc/apap 10-650 mg--formerly lortab.Now it has been changed to the same thing only in a 10-325 mg which from what I have been told was due to a change in the law Jan 2014-the 10-650 did a fair job if I oook one every 4 hrs of course the 10-325 do not seem to help very much, have about a 8 out of ten on the pain chart. My wife was given Oxycod/ap 5-325 when she had Cancer surgery, I have taken some of the leftovers and can go 8 to 10 hrs without much pain at all. However, due to the Acetaminophen that is also in Tylenol 4, you should not take more, unless your doctor has specifically instructed you to do so. I am trying to find out how many Tylenol codein 300-30 I would need to take to be equilivant to Norco 10-325 ? While the Tylenol 3 has 30mg of codeine and the other has 10 mg of condone wouldn't the Tylenol 3 be stronger ## I have been taking Tylenol 3 for eight years, going 2 to 3 times a day to washroom, eat loads of fruit and fibre. I have to take T3 at least once a day a sometimes not at all Depending on my bowel movements. What is the equivalent of norco 10 mg to Tylenol W codeine, is it a #3 or #4 ? ## Hi brian, I'd recommend double checking this with your doctor first just to make sure it's accurate, but according various opiate conversion charts I viewed online, 10mgs of Hydrocodone has an estimated equivalency to about 60mgs of Codeine. And in that respect Norco 10/325 should be similar to Tylenol #4; which has 60mgs of Codeine + 325mgs of Acetaminophen. Does anyone else find this to be true based on personal experience?

How many 325/5mg oxycodone would it take to be equivalent to a 15mg? I don't have anymore 15mg, all I have is 5mg. ## It would take about 3 of them, as long your doctor approves. What strength of Tylenol does this pill compare too? ## Hi Brent, From what I can discover, it seems "APO 5 325" contains 325mgs of Acetaminophen + 5mgs of Oxycodone, a narcotic analgesic. Was given RX Hydrocod/acetaminophen 7.5-325/15ML every 4-6hrs. Can you also use liquid tylenol 500 mg over the counter together, alternating? ## You should not combine OTC tylenol with any prescription meds that also contain tylenol. You may want to call or see your Dr or dentist if the rx you were given isn't helping the pain. ## I Ran out of my hydrocodone/ acetaminophen 10-325 T. I would like to know what is the dosing in milligrams of oxycodone with out the Tylenol. I take 10/325. what is the dose for that strength with out the Tylenol, as well as 7.5/325 ## Hello, Ann! Though I have to ask the original poster, did you mean "10" of some other medication? I.e. - 10mg Zohydro (Hydrocodone extended release) which doesn't have Acetaminophen? My doctor switched me from 1-2 tabs of norco 10/325 every 4-6 hours to 20- 40 ml of liquid 2.5mg/5ml every 4-6 hours - is it the same amount of norco? I know it has more tylenol in it but am I getting the same dosage of the norco? ## Well, first allow me to explain that Norco is a brand name for a medication that contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, it is not actually the name of the narcotic ingredient you are asking about. That said, if it contains 2.5mgs of the Hydrodocone per 5ml, then 20mls would contain 10mgs, this would be equal to the amount in one of the tablets you used to take. I take Percocet 3x a day for Chronic pain from my neck down. The Percocet does not last the 8 hours like the bottle say. Just wondering if i could take a 1 pill of Equate with Acetaminophen 500mg with one Percocet. or one Tylenol with Acetaminophen 325mg with 1 Percocet. Would this be safe !!!!
