I have been on Contrave for three months but the last couple weeks I am having muscle twitching bad enough to keep me awake. Could the Contrave be causing this? ## Hello, Patty! How are you? The only place I'm seeing this listed is under the overdose symptoms that are provided by the FDA. The typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, insomnia, nervousness and depression. Have you discussed this with your doctor? Are you on any other medications? ## I am taking contrave and also experiencing muscle twitches. My hands actually shake as if I have Parkinson's. It is also definitely psychotropic. I developed an acute case of agoraphobia - didn't leave the house for two days. It also has had an impact on my autoimmune system. My body is not fighting off bacteria...

Has anyone had Botox injections for eye twiching? I have and they did not use numbing while injecting into my eye lids and surrounding eyes. I was wondering why they can not numb the area? ## I have. I don't know why they can use anything to numb it. But the pain is worth making the eye twitch stop. I'd tried everything: calcium, magnesium, potassium, saw a neurologist. Only the shots worked. ## The doctor told me that numbing would hurt worse than the shot. So I just pinch myself and don't look. I've had to get the shots every 5. -6 months for a year and a half because the eye twitch comes back. We are hoping eventually the muscle will stop on it's own. I took topirimate for a few months at a low dose a couple years ago. Then I stopped ## I don't know if my insu...

Hi, I have been using Topamax for depression for 12 months and must admit that it has been very sucessful. The one major draw back is that I have developed a very annoying eye twitch. It only affects one eye, but is very noticeable. I was taking 100 mg twice a day, but have decreased it to 100 mg daily. The twitch has decreased somewhat, and I realize that I now have to come off this drug completely to get rid of the twitch entirely. Has anyone else experienced this problem. I read 1 other reader, but are there more? ## Sorry it took so long to reply. I had the same problem with Topamax which I use for epilepsy. It is the coating of the 100 mg for me. The 50 mg does not cause this on me, so I take 2/50 mg tablets instead. Ever heard of Topamax causing gout? ## I've developed an eye ...

For the last couple of months I started having random twitches on my legs, thighs, back and hand. I went for EMG. I did my blood test and found out my red blood count is 5.20. I am going again for EMG next week. Should I worry ## Hello, Premini! How are you doing? Has there been any change? feel weak and lathargic all the time. and in the the evenings i always get this uncontrolable, like a twitch. its like in jumping. cant sleep till it eases off ## Have you consulted a doctor? There are various conditions that can cause this, one of which is Restless Leg Syndrome and may require medications to properly treat. However, to get to the root of the problem and find a proper solution, will require your talking to your doctor. ## when im in the hospital and i get dilaudid by iv after a few days and a few doses i to get twitches and jumping of hands. this is weird. after i am home and off the iv form it goes away. i take the pills and i don't have this problem.

I took my first and only pill of Augmentin 875 after dinner last night. I got dizzy shortly thereafter. The dizziness subsided after roughly 6 hours, only to be replaced with anxiety, restlessness, and twitching in my legs. My OCD is flaring. It's 2:30 AM, about 8 1/2 hours since I took the pill. How much longer will these symptoms last??? I can't even quiet my mind or settle my legs long enough to attempt sleep! Rhita ## Hello, Rhita! How are you doing? That is very unusual, especially after taking just one tablet. I think the best thing to do would be to contact your doctor about taking a different antibiotic, this one obviously doesn't agree with you. The normal side effects should be things like nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Is there anything el...

I get muscle spasms and twitches all over. Head pressure at top back of head, terrible dizziness and ringing in ears. 42 year old female. 4 weeks I suffer with dizziness and the feeling of sinus pressure but doc says its high BP. 140/90 put me on Bio atenolol together with adcor water pill. Why should I use the BP pill and a water pill at the same time? Why not just a BP pil? Thank you. ## Hello, Chrissie! How are you? Both of these medications can help lower blood pressure and it is common for a doctor to prescribe more than one, at the beginning, to try to help bring blood pressure down as fast and as safely as possible. The U.S. FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, increased urination, headache and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help ...

I took my first dose of Belsomra 10mg last night. I was awake all night. I had shaking and twitching all over. My legs were the worst, but I could also feel my stomach quivering! It was the most miserable and frightening experience. I'm glad I was given samples. ## Wow! I am very sorry about what happened to you, that's terrible. Belsomra side effects are listed as possibly including daytime sleepiness, sleep walking, dizziness, depression, and abnormal dreams. DailyMed does warn about some possible nausea, but given how miserable you were, and the fact that you didn't sleep, it doesn't seem that your response to it was typical. Are you on any other medications? ## Yeah, I'm one of those people that Dr's look at and say, "Oh my, what have I gotten myself into...

I was on Cymbalta for 4 months, worked my way up to 120 mg. Experienced "brain zaps" and terrible twitching of my extremities. Decided to wean off with the help of my psychiatrist. Weaned off very slowly, even dumping out half of the last two weeks of capsules (bringing down the 20 mg tabs to 10 mg tabs). I have been totally off Cymbalta now for 2.5 weeks. My pain/discomfort is normally an 8 out of 10 but now it's a 9.5 out of 10. Feeling horrible! Head pain, nausea, dizziness, frequent hot flashes. Feel like I would rather be dead. This is a horrible drug. I hear it helps people (didn't help me at all) but if you ever have to come off of it, fasten your seat belt as it will be an awful ride! ## Hello, Catarin! Cardiologist has had me on 20mg Xarelto/day for approximately 2 years for afib but haven’t had any negative reactions till now. Could Xarelto be the cause? Should I be concerned? ## Yes, there is a chance that it could be due to the medication, but there is no way to give you a definitive answer. The FDA does list its possible side effects as including joint/muscle aches, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and easy bruising. What dosage are you currently taking? I was on cymgen 120 mg for 6 months. Treatment for fibromaylgia. It made me mentally unstable. I had night mares twitching grinding teeth and felt no emotion. I was so desperate to be switched off. I considered suicide. I was admitted to hospital where they just added to my meds. This led to jerking and shaking. I decided to cut the meds down myself. And started to feel better. I went down to 60 mg of cymgen but the jerking and confusion didn't stop. This week I decided to stop it. Its been awful. But today for the first time im not twitching. And the jerking and fast heart rate has stopped. I still don't feel happiness But I'm on my way there. Cymgen was supposed to help with my physical pain but instead it drove me to madness. I got the vivitrol shot and drank a lot then I took 2 of my naltrexone pills because I felt bad for drinking. 5 hours later my muscles are twitching a lot and my legs are cramping is this a normal side effect (should I ride it out) or should I go to the hospital. Could it be too much naltrexone? Or is my body withdrawing from the alcohol. ## I experienced no side effects from Naltrexone and have not had the vivitrol shot. It was my understanding that it was one or the other - the month-long shot or the pills. Perhaps you had too much in your system. Dehydration and lack of electrolytes like sodium and potassium definitely can lead to muscle cramps. I advise some sort of sports drink and keep the fluids coming, since your nervous system being in high gear keep chemicals like adrenaline r...

Hey guys, day two into cymbalta 30g for depression. When I yawn my eyes force shut and I get a tightness around my chest and shoulders. I have a pain in the tummy. And I feel like I'm twitching my hands and chest but when I look I'm not. Is it normal? ## Please be careful on this medication. It takes away all anxiety and inhibitions. It can make you do and say things you wouldn't ordinarily. It also makes you crave alcohol, and can intensify alcohol affect tremendously. I was on 60 mg for 9 months. I kept telling my doc I didn't feel like myself. He insisted I stay on it. My personality completely changed, my relationship with my husband and daughters suffered and I didn't care. If my daughter was out late....I didn't worry. I stopped worrying about consequences....

Hi, I was placed on a Pylera ten day treatment for H-Pylori, but during the course of the treatment, I felt uncoordinated, dizzy and very ill. On day 9, my left thumb started twitching, along with spasms. I ended up in the E.R. twice, but all they told me that I was ok and it would go away. The left thumb has stopped, thank GOD, but the twitching and muscle spasms have progressed and its been over a month since I immediately stopped taking the Pylera. I also have episodes of feeling uncoordinated, weakness in my legs and a lot of trouble sleeping. I'm wondering if anyone out there has had those same symptoms and what type of doctor was seen for help? ## Have you consulted your regular doctor about this? They really need to look into this and see what's causing the problem. Regul...
