Is tramadol effective as a drug doe alcohol withdrawal? I used it for an injury and I was not drinking and had very low withdrawal symtoms. Usually when I stop alcohol ai have awfyl withdrawal, including dt's sweats stomach pain and hallucinations.

I am taking the tramadol tablet with 58 on one side & TV on the other. I've been taking tramadol for about 4 months. I picked up a refill today and the difference is this group of tramadol is bigger than my normal prescription. As of Dec. 2012 it has become a controlled substance so not only do you need an Rx for it but every time an Rx is filled, the DEA is automatically notified. You shouldn't take it w/out an Rx, and if you are allergic to codeine, morphine or if you've ever had a bad reaction or if you are currently taking an SSRZi, or if you have a seizure disorder.
