Sir,/Madam I am 58 years age,taking tryptomer 25 since last two months. I feel relax but I feel always to sleep. I am taking regularly two pegs of alcohol. Is there any side affect to take alcohol as I am taking rum regularly in the night only since last 20 years . I want sleep always by taking this medicine. please advice me ## Trytomer contains the active ingredient Amitriptyline, which is a Tricyclic antidepressant and yes, your problem may be caused by mixing it with alcohol. It can cause drowsiness as a side effect and alcohol can intensify that effect. It can also be very toxic to your liver, so you shouldn't be drinking while taking this medication. I am consuming Tryptomer 10mg for the past 7 days for a injury in the head ( A steel plate hit my head) with the advise of the doctor. The pain has aggravated and having severe head acke and dry mouth. I am find myself restless. For the first two days I had consumed 1 in the night after which i am consuming 2 tablets. Kindly advice ## Past three year lam suffering from tuberculoma in right cerebellum . Treatment 14 month .But heavy hedech after treatment .No response of any treatment.P.G.I . Lucknow treatment continue. My age 20 years.

I had severe back pain and severe headache.Test conducted USG KUB and XRAY KUB no stones were visualised.Others all OK. Was given monocef 200 for 7 days.The back pain subsided however the headache became severe and splitting fron neck six inches down up to the back of head .BP checked was 100/60 mg.CT scan was done nothing seen pain from back of neck till head was severe. CSF was done drawing flid from Lumbo spine near the back fulid sent for Fungal smear,CSF Sugar,CFS Protien CSF ADA CSF Chloride all normal within in limits .Rapid Culture BACT and RAPID culture for AFB Put up. Results expected soon. However Doc prescribed TRYPTOMER 10mg.The pain the head has been less and no back ache. Starting taking half tryptomer10mg for 5 days as single dose along with pregabalin75 eight hourly ,thereafter took tryptomer 10mg for 5 days & then one and half tryptomer10 mg & now only 10-15% problem is remaining. I had herpes zoster attack two months earlier and in 20 days all the symptoms had gone but for svere pain in leftside of my head and face. Now I have been taking pregabalin75 mg 8 hourly &15mg.Tryptomer as a single dose daily.Should I continue with this treatment for some more time or gradualy decrease the above mentioned dose?

My mom started Tryptomer 10 last Thursday. Took full tablet every night for 3 days. Felt nausea and drowsiness. Doc said to reduce it to half immediately (4th day). Half tablet also not suiting as she is feeling drowsy 24 hours. Can I stop it completely with immediate effect? I have been taking tryptomer 25 for serveral years but due to shortness of breath Doctor adviced me to take lonazep 1mg anf fluoxetine 20. He told me to stop tryptomer 25 but i cannot stop it. I took all the 3 medicines for around 4 months. I am feeling much better now. Then I told doctor that I have headache and constipation, gastro problem. He changed from fluoxetine to sertraline 50.
