Tramadol Rare Side Effects

My opinion is stay the hell away from this drug. I took it for less than a week for severe back pain. I experienced the following, all of which indicate a deadly allergic reaction and are supposed to be rare: -extreme swelling of the tongue to the point where my teeth were cutting into it; -trouble sleeping/night terrors; -constant itching at night that was affecting my sleep; -frequent feeling of having to urinate. The drug did barely anything for my pain and I had to up my dose within two days. That was when the side effects started. Again, not worth it. Please stay away. Pharmacists and doctors will insist that the drug is safe but it isn't. I've also personally talked to three people who have had seizures as a result of this drug. Ibuprofen will do as much for pain as Tramad...

My doctor just prescribed me Tramadol for a chronic back pain issue. If I take this med every night, will there be any long term negative effects after a year or two? One more question: what percentage of people who take Tramadol experience the euphoria that can be a side effect of other opiates? ## Hello, Jackson! How are you? There can be risks associated with the long-term use of any medication. The FDA does classify Tramadol as an opiate, so they do warn that it has a risk of being habit forming. With long-term use, it could also cause liver damage, but that's very rare. Other typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache and constipation. It's listed that the euphoria was reported by between 1% and 10% of people. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I...

can this med cause arrythmea? ## can this drug cause panic attacks or nerviousness? ## can Tramadl cause panic attacks?? ## Yes, though they aren't common side effects, nervousness and anxiety have been reported in a small percentage of people that take Tramadol. Rite, the answer is the same for you, it is very rare, but yes, it has been known to occasionally cause cardiac side effects. Have either one of you consulted your respective doctors?

I herniated a disc in Feb 2011 that didn't respond to a microdiscectomy, so was going thru intensive PT before deciding whether or not to do a fusion. Well, in early Dec of 2011, I came down with Guillian-Barre Syndrome, a rare syndrome where your immune system attacks your peripheral nervous system. Recovering from GBS can be extremely painful. My case left me temporarily paralyzed from the waist down and I've been I'm the wheelchair for almost 9mos. I have a wonderful therapist and am using my walker more and more each week. Anyway, I've been on oxycodone 5mg and tramadol since Oct and the pain relief has been minimal. So, my PCP (handling pain meds in lieu of ortho right now- not seeing ortho until GBS "gets fixed.") put me on the 50ug fentanyl patch. The firs...

I took 4 & 1/2 Hydrocodone 10/325s about 12 hours ago. Can I take 5 tramadol now ## Hello, Fly! How are you? You are taking far too many of these tablets, at once. Especially the Hydrocodone with the Acetaminophen, no single dosing of that should exceed 1,000mgs. How many have you been instructed to take, per dose, by your doctor? Both of these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## Keep in mind that it is very rare for someone to overdose on Tramadol alone, but Tramadol in combination with other drugs can be very dangerous and lead to death. ## Yes, what Dan said is correct, but that's in respect to any mediation, not just Tramadol. Most overdoses, especially fatal ones,...

I have been told, I have esophogus nerve damage. I have been told there is no treatment for it beyond a speach therpist. But I have pain at the bottom of my esophogus, and have been given Ryzolt 100 mg. I still feel the spams, but they don't hurt so much, for about five hours. This medication does't last for 24 hrs. Does any one else have this problem. I have been told it is rare. But still think, I can not be the only one. ## I don't have your problem, so hopefully someone who does will chime in. Do you know what caused the nerve damage? Ryzolt contains the active ingredient Tramadol, it is an analgesic, which is why it helps with the pain, however, no it usually won't last as long as time released medications. You may also experience side effects, such as: nausea, drow...
