i would like some information on tramacet as in benefits, side effects, if it is narcotic or not and which is a better pain killer that wont cause a dependancy ## Tramacet contains Acetaminophen and Tramadol. Under the FDA in the US, Tramadol is classified as a narcotic. The reason for this is because while it works as an anti-inflammatory, it does have the addictive properties of a narcotic. As to what won't cause dependency: anything you put in your body on a regular basis for a long period of time will cause dependency, be it regular over the counter Ibuprofen or your morning cup of orange juice. So you are not going to find any medication that won't cause it. Some of the most common side effects include: nausea, vomiting, sweating and constipation. ## tramacet is not conside...

I have been prescribed Eplepton for extremely restless legs which cause insomnia. In addition my thyroid has gone from being underactive to overactive so therefore my meds were reduced. I also over a period weaned myself off one tramacet and one celebrex which I took every night for approximately three years for neck pain. I discontinued taking these two tablets as I was extremely sleepy during the day. Lastly I was prescribed urbanol for depression as well which I also weaned myself off soon after discontinuing the use of tramacet and celebrex. My question to you is this ... is it safe to take Eplepton 1 nightly, 100mg when five years ago I had a stroke and subsequently two heart episodes. I really have a dilemma currently. Thank you. ## This medication is listed as containing the acti...

asprin shaped tablet ## drug information including common uses, side effects ## This medication is unavailable in the U.S. and I am sorry to say that other countries do not regulate their prescription drugs as strictly as the FDA does. That said, finding information on them is very difficult, since there are no databases which list them all, like there are for U.S. prescription drugs. The only thing I can suggest is that you try asking your doctor or pharmacist for more information.

I have been taking tramacet, but it is out of stock in south africa currently, so i have been given tramadol 50mg, does it work the same will i get withdrawals. ## Hi, Helen! How are you? Tramacet contains Tramadol and Acetaminophen, so they've just given you the one without the Acetaminophen, thus there shouldn't be a problem. Learn more Tramacet details here. You may want to ask your doctor or pharmacist about just adding some Acetaminophen on your own, by taking a Tylenol tablet with it. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I believe there is an error. I have checked on the list of medications as I have been taking Tramacet for some time., Tramacet is commonly available in Canada and South Africa. It is a combination of opioid pain reliever with Paracetamol, not Acetami...

If I have been taking Percocet and they gave me Tramacet. Will Tramacet be as effective as Percocet? ## It really depends on you, the only way to see how well it works for you is by trying it. However, the Tramadol is the Tramacet is a much weaker opiate, so it may not help you. The FDA classifies this medication as an opioid, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## It is by far not as effective. It is a much weaker pain pill .

I just had surgery and was prescribed Tramacet. They're making me feel sick. I want to switch to my Tylenol No. 3. How long should I wait between them before I start the Tylenol 3? ## If your doctor approves of you switching, you should be able to just switch at your next normal dose time, but you should follow their instructions to be sure of your safety. The FDA warns that Acetaminophen with Codeine carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. ref: Medline Plus Acetaminophen and Codeine Are you on any other medications?

Hi. I'd like information comparing Percocet (Oxycodone / Acetaminophen) and Tramacet (Tramadol hydrochloride / Acetaminophen). Is Percocet a stronger more powerful pain killer than Tramacet? If so, by how much? If you have been taking Percocet are you likely to get the same effect from Tramacet? Is there a chart somewhere that compares or ranks all pain killers comparatively? If so please tell me where. Thanks - good health to you all ## The Tramadol is not actually a narcotic, it is derived from an opiated, but it is not actually one, so it is therefore nowhere near as strong as the Percocet, which contains a strong narcotic Oxycodone. ## She asked about Tramacet not Tramadol. Tramacet is an opiate as is Percocet. As for the chart listing different opiates and their strengths, I wo...

I am currently taking tramacet while I'm waiting for surgery for my broken jaw. Having taken narcotic drugs recreationally before I can tell you that it certainly doesn't feel like any narcotic drug I've taken. is tramacet a narcotic or opioid?..is tramacet as powerful as percocet? ## Tramacet contains the active ingredients Tramadol and Acetaminophen and yes, the Tramadol is currently classified as an opiate, however, this classification has changed, several times since the medication was discovered. It really doesn't seem to be a powerful as the Oxycodone in Percocet, though some people do get great results from it. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. I've been diagnosed with Intracranial Hypertension age 21 an have been prescribed both naproxen and tramacet!! Does any one know if I can take the two together????? ## Hi little one, Based on my research there are no drug interactions found between the active ingredients in Tramacet and Naproxen. This does not necessarily mean no interactions exist, but my sources state that every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is accurate. That said, I would personally feel safe taking the two together. You may also want to consider adding some natural alternatives to the mix (such as essential oils), in conjunction with a diet high in potassium and magnesium (more fruits and veggies). I hope this helps!

Are there any risks of taking percocets and tramacets together? ## YES, there is. Percocet and Tramacet both contain Acetaminophen and if you take too much of it in a day, it is toxic! ## While it is true that too much Tylenol is toxic, you can safely consume 3 grams of Tylenol per day, that's 3000 milligrams. Anything more than that, you're risking liver damage. ## is tramacet a Norcodic

I am an 82 year old female & take one or two tramacet tablets every day for my osteoperosis & back pain for almost 4years. I am now suffering from itching skin, itchy patches on my arms & an itchy scalp. ## Have you consulted your doctor? Tramacet contains the active ingredients Tramadol and Paracetamol and though it isn't common, there is always the slight possibility that you've developed a sudden allergic reaction to it. You should consult your doctor to get to the root of the problem. Are you using anything else new, or taking any other medications?

I am taking tribuss tablets and tramacet and my blood pressure went sky high. ## The opioid Tramadol in the Tramacet has been known to cause that in some people that take it, as reported by the FDA. It also carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and constipation. That said, it seems that it may not be the right medication for you to take and you may need to switch to something else. How high was your blood pressure?

My father had surgery on his foot about a month ago. He is also a diabetic. He was prescribed the following tablets by a physician for healing of the foot: CILOSTAZOL, TRAMACET, CLEOCIN, OMEPRAZOLE, CIPROXINA, TRIHEMIC. However, he is vomitting daily and nothing seems to stay down. He is getting chest pains and is coughing intermittently as well. We can't seem to figure out the problem. The physician is saying it is Acid Reflux but it has to be more than this. I read where TRAMACET might cause Gastroparesis. Is this his problem?

However speaking of the foreign tablets... if they don't possess any markings/imprints, unfortunately your guess is as good as anyone else's.
