I accidentally took my husband's blood pressure medicine which is 10 mg and mine is 2.5 mg. What should I do? ## Hello, Tae! How are you? Did you experience any adverse effects? It depends on which medication you are taking. He may be taking 10mgs, but if it's a different one that yours, the 2.5 could be equivalent to it. Typically, however, if you take too much your blood pressure may go lower than usual, according to FDA reports, and you may experience nausea, dizziness, several drowsiness and shallow breathing. If they get too severe, you should seek emergency medical attention. What are you each prescribed? ## I accidentally took two of my husbands 10 mg of lisinopril and had already taken an ambien will I be ok?

I took 125 mg of meteripol for my blood pressure ## Hello, Hercules! How are you? Yes, you can overdose if you take too much of any medication. When it's a blood pressure/cardiac medication like this one, it could cause your blood pressure and heart rate to go too low, which may cause dizziness, fainting and possibly death, as listed by the FDA and NIH. How much are you supposed to take? You should be aware that for this to help your blood pressure, you need to take it regularly for a month, taking extra when you have higher blood pressure numbers won't actually do anything to help.

How is your husband doing? How much does it increase and what time of day does he take it? It is normal for blood pressure to change throughout the day, when we engage in physical activity, after we eat and etc. It never remains at one steady level all throughout the day. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and dry mouth. ## My blood pressure is normal after relaxing all day / no stress, but doubles up on my losartan. ## I was on losartan potassium for years. They say that if blood pressure isn't lowered by taking hyzaar 50/12.5 mgs once a day, then upping the dosage to hyzaar 100/12.5 mgs will not make much of a difference... Is that true? ## It really depends, if it doesn't work, at all, that can be true and the person will most likely need to try a different medication. If it helps some, but doesn't take it down to the ideal level, then a higher dose could help. I experienced this, when I first started Labetalol, the initial dose of 100mgs did help, but I wasn't at the best numbers, so we took it up to 200mgs and now it works very well for me. However, I've also had others I tried that did nothing, so my cardiologist didn't think it was worth trying higher doses, since they just didn't seem to work for me. The ...

I took two at once, will I be okay? ## Hello, Jocelyn! How are you? Did you suffer any adverse effects? I was on the low dose Linzess and it wasn't working for my constipation. Now I'm on the higher dose but it is not really working either. When I finally had a bowel movement there was a lot of blood in the toilet. Has this happened to anyone? What would cause this? Anyone? ## Sue sometimes when your stool is hard from constipation it can tear your rectum and cause it to bleed. Because of the pressure in your rectum it will usually seal the tear. Watch out how hard you push the stool when you're constipated as it can cause a hemorrhoid. If you continue to have blood in your stool go see your doctor ASAP ## Years ago this did happen to me. It can be frightening to see that much blood in the toilet, but this can happen because of hemorrhoids. I took a diuretic that dried me out ...

Will this hurt him? ## Hi, Kim! Any time that you are worried about the health and safety of a loved one due to taking too much medication, you should immediately call poison control, or seek assistance from your nearest emergency medical treatment facility. How is he doing? Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that's used to help lower high blood pressure and treat certain cardiac conditions. Hi, my mom was prescribed 50mg of Atenolol to take every morning. I did as always but today I accidentally gave her another dose of it, mistaking it for her other diabetic medicine. Any problem with that? ## I accidentally took 2 of 100mg atenolol by mistake ## Taking too much Atenolol could result in worsening side effects, which may include nausea, dizziness, increased urination, and increased lowering of blood pressure, and heart rate. what would happen if some took 1000mg of liprosil all at once? ## Liprosil contains the active ingredient Lisinopril, which is an ACE inhibitor that's used to help treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions.
