I took just one 4 mg 6 days ago and have a pre-employment hair follicle test on 11/14/15. Will this show up? ## Tizanidine is generic for Zanaflex. It is not a narcotic or benzodiazepine and will not show up on a drug test. I was a pharmaceutical chemist then I got a job testing the samples provided for drug testing, this of course after I cleaned up my life. But I have been in you're shoes. Straight up tizanidine will not even be tested for unless the testing party has a reason, such as if you're on probation for tizanadine abuse or go to a pain clinic. Every drug has a cutoff for pass/fail and each person metabolizes differently. Tizanadine is only looked at in about 1% of the samples I test, typically in parole and pain managment cases. Will Tizanidine show up on an employment drug test? I've been taking it for 2 weeks now. My drug test is coming up January 17, 2016. I took it twice a day or sometimes one at bed time. ## This is a muscle relaxant, so it is not something that is included on standard drug screens. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with?

Does Tizanidine have opiates in them or any narcotics? Will it show up in a drug test? ## No Tinazidine is non-narcotic. ## I don't believe it is a narcotic drug. As far as a drug screening goes it really depends on what they look for in the urine/blood sample. They can look for narcotic, illicit, and commonly abused drugs. If it is an employer looking most likely they wouldn't even check for that drug. People that take Tizanidine will test positive for opiates. It's considered a narcotic, because there's 1 ingredient that they use in this and its used in opiates like percocet. I'm having basically a terrible frozen right shoulder from severe muscle spasms. I was offered a 6 milligram pill called Tizanidine. I take several meds for pain, which are Morphine Sul 60mg, Morphine 15mg, Neurontin 600mg, Tizanidine Hcl 2mg, Clonidine Hcl 0.1mg and Zolpidem. I also took some Phendimetrazine (35mg). Hello, I have recently found myself in a situation. I am working extremely hard to prove my pain management office differently. Please any help will be greatly appreciated. I am in a pain management program which requires urine tests to obtain meds. I just started the program. My first test was + for tramadol but I don't take tramadol!! Confused!! I only take Percocet, amitryptyline, tizanidine, topamax and cymbalta. Sometimes immitrex or ambien. Only pain med is Percocet which I told them about. But NO tramadol, never have taken it! I tested positive for cocaine during a recent swab test for pain management. Never used the drug before in my life. I take oxycodone 5mg, gabapentin 300mg, tizanidine 4mg, amlodipine 10mg, fluoxetine 40mg, dioxepin 20mg, albuterol inhaler, omeprazole 20mg, prenatal vitamin 27, and I got an allergy shot mixed with B12. I have severe fibromyalgia and I c a pain doc for meds. I had a drug test 2 weeks ago n hydromorphine came back positive when I don't even take it.... instead I take morphine sulfate er, tramadol, gabapentin, savella, tizanidine, and meloxicam. I am in a pain management and I signed documents saying I would NOT violate the contract and they are saying my Urine test came back that I have a very small level of methamphetamine and Benzomines or something like that in my UrineTest ands I may be fired because of this test...So I am trying to figure what would cause this in my Urine test. My doctor dismissed me as a patient because a very small amount (252 ng/ml) of morphine was detected. I do not take other peoples meds, do not do street drugs. How this could happen is a complete and crazy mystery to me. I take Alprazolam, Tizanidine HAL, blood pressure and water pills. Over the counter allergy medicine and occasionally Benadryl. What is it?
