Hello, My mom has been having a leg ulcer for years. She has been going to doctor during 2 years and her ulcer is not cured. I'm wondering if someone has tried Terrasil and i'd like to know if it is save and how good it can be for healing ulcers thank you

Treatment for Tinea Versicolor requires an antifungal medication, usually one that contains Selenium Sulfide. That said, Terrasil Max does not contain that, it is nothing more than over the counter skin product that has not been proven to treat anything. Did your physician prescribe anything for you? ## Without insurance, and therefore without a physician, I rely on my own research as much as possible. I have read about selenium sulfide for this issue but Terrasil seems to have better reports in treating the skin discoloration, or as with my case, dispigmentation. My wife has shingles. I bought the Terrasil Max and apply it lightly to the affected area. Everytime I do, the paid returns, eventhough there is not much pain when I apply it. Creams, liquids, ointments and the like tend to degrade much faster than solids, which is why they usually have a shorter expiration date. Some ingredients in them can turn rancid, once expired, so it is best to just dispose of it. Is there anything else I can help with?

In many cases, such cysts require an antibiotic, because they may abscess and using the wrong product on it could just make it worse. Terrasil Max is an activated mineral ointment, so there's no guarantee that it will help and there's some risk, as I said, that it may make it worse by causing clogs of the pores in that area.

I have Tinea versicolor and have had it for about 11 years now. I didn't actually go to the doctors about it until a few months ago. I have since been prescribed a shampoo which I used for 3 days and didn't see a difference and for the last 9 weeks have been taking fluconazole as I have suffered from bouts of thrush for equally as long. I've been told the fluconazole will definitely clear the TV but so far, nothing on both fronts. I'm brown in complexion and have light patches from my belly button up to my neck, and all over my back. Now that I know it can be cleared, I feel I've really got my hopes up but have not seen a single bit of progress. Is there literally ANYTHING that's proven to get rid of this for life!?
