I have been taking Telsartan H 80 for almost 2009. I was also taking simvastatin 20 mg but due to irregularity in taking Simvastatin tablet my colesterol was high and also there was another reason, I had experienced severe pain in my right hand muscle and on the upper back due to accumulation of spasm. My doctor, when came to know about this he changed the medicine to Cretsor 20mg. Now I am taking Telsartan H 80 and Crestor 20. My recent blood test has come out with outstanding result my lipid profile is under very much under control. But following are my blood pressure reading : 107/64; 117/69;114/67;117/71; I have been taking my blood pressure reading for last 4 months on a weekly basis. I am 58 years of age. Just 10 days back I started Thelma H 40 mg for BP 160/90 as advised by my doctor. After using it for 8 days I got dizziness, frequent urination and a light strain on my right side. So I consulted my doctor and am now taking Telsartan 40. My BP is now 120/80. How long should I use 40 mgs for? Can I reduce to 20 mgs? Please advise.
