I am 34 weeks pregnant and my upper teeth hurts a lot. Please suggest me a tablet. ## Hello, Muktha! Congratulations on the baby and I'm very sorry that you're in pain. However, since you are pregnant, it is very important for you to consult your doctor, before taking anything for the pain. There are many medications that could adversely affect your baby. Additionally, if you have a dental infection, that could also affect your baby and make both of you very ill, so it needs to be treated. I had 4 teeth pulled out and had no infection...my gum is swollen and I'm on amoxicillin as well as tylenol #3 and chlorhexidine rinse. Everything was going good until I started the rinse yesterday. I know it's only been 2 days and some bruising is normal but my gum is swollen and hurts so bad. Should I keep using the rinse? Will it help heal my gum faster? ## Hello, Stephanie! How are you doing? Has there been any change? Yes, you should continue using it, as instructed. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including terrible taste, nausea and oral irritation. I know it is annoying, I had to use it for awhile, after I had all of my remaining teeth removed to get dentures, I didn't like it, either. As to the pain and swelling, that is normal, however, if it wor...

Is this drug effective for tooth ache ## Tramadol is a centrally acting analgesic that can help with mild to moderate pain, so it may give some pain relief. So I found out that I may have a gum infection and my dentist prescribed me with Amoxicillin in hoping the infection would ease down, as there is a small swelling on my top left side gum and it hasn't seem to settle down. The pain in my gums is excruciating as it comes on in a pulsating form within the two to three teeth parts along the gumline and it will last for about 30-50 seconds and then it will go away. This sort of pain has been ongoing for months going onto a year and I have been to three different dentists and they give me the same answer that its a gum infection? Hi, I have been in pain for some time now. I went to my dentist a 1 1/2 weeks ago. There is no swelling and no clearly visible reason on the X-rays as to explain why I am in pain. The dentist thinks it could be 1 of 2 teeth that are next to each other but can't be sure. He put me on clindamycin and said if the pain goes away then we know it was a small infection. But if the pain doesn't go away we will have to see what else could be going on. Well, I have been taking the clindamycin for one week today and have 4 more days of pills left but I am still in pain and taking too much ibuprohen. Do you gave any idea what else could be causing my pain? What do you think my dentist will look at when I go back? ## Hello, Dee! How are you? If there's nothing visible and nothing showed ...

How are you? I didn't find any problems or interactions listed between these two medications, but it's always best to double check to be sure. However, you should be aware that Methylprednisolone is not an antibiotic. As listed by the FDA, it is actually a steroid class medication that is used to treat conditions which may include allergic reactions, swelling and immune disorders. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, nervousness, insomnia and acne. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I took part of a subutex yesterday afternnom. In Tijuana today I had 2 teeth pulled. They prescribed Mavidol Ketorolaco for 5 days. I already take Vicodain for pain in my lower back where surgery went wrong and now have bone against spine. Is there any problems using both pain medicines> ## Hello, Gwen! How are you? The Ketorolac is just a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that's used to treat pain, fever and swelling. There are no interactions listed between it and the Vicodin, but it's always best to double check such information to be sure. It can also increase the risk of bleeding, so there are some risks to taking it after extractions. However, you might not need both, the Vicodin might do well for alleviating the pain from the extractions. It's actually what many dentists offices prescribe for that. This is a nar...

Sandi ## I am very sorry to hear what you are going through and I hope your pain is starting to ease. That said, the steroids can help with swelling and in that respect can help reduce pain, but they are not a regular pain reliever and will not work like one. It is Ibuprofen 600 mg. I just got a prescription for it, My wisdom teeth were taken out. They are Pointless if you ask me, They don't help allot with the pain... but they do help with swelling i guess.. ## Well, what you have to understand is that Ibuprofen is just a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, it is not a narcotic, so while it helps with pain, its effects are limited. This is the same medication that is found in a lower dose, over the counter in Advil and Motrin. You can read more on this here: Have you tried speaking to your dentist to see if they can provide something that may be more helpful? ## Im sorry whos that Dr so i miss out on his services

My opinion is stay the hell away from this drug. I took it for less than a week for severe back pain. I experienced the following, all of which indicate a deadly allergic reaction and are supposed to be rare: -extreme swelling of the tongue to the point where my teeth were cutting into it; -trouble sleeping/night terrors; -constant itching at night that was affecting my sleep; -frequent feeling of having to urinate. The drug did barely anything for my pain and I had to up my dose within two days. That was when the side effects started. Again, not worth it. Please stay away. Pharmacists and doctors will insist that the drug is safe but it isn't. I've also personally talked to three people who have had seizures as a result of this drug.
