im a 180 pound 21 year old male and a first time user of the abg 60 and im wondering if its too much for first time. ive had the sulfates but that was years ago. I use norco 10mg about once every couple weeks for pain. I usally take 3 norco 10mg at first sign of pain lol so I am versed a lil in the opiates. ## The usual adult dosage schedule for extended release tablets such as ABG 60 (Morphine sulphate extended-release 60 mg) ranges from 10 mg to 600 mg daily, given in equally divided doses every 8 to 12 hours or given as one dose every 24 hours. Since the dosage gap for extended release tablets is so large, I think it's safe to say that 60mgs still sits on the lower end of the dosage spectrum. I'd probably recommend doing a trial run for a week or so just to see how your body ... ...

Taken too much lisinopril for 2 weeks

Hello, A family member of mine has a prescription of 10mg lisinopril once a day. Recently the pharmacy accidentally gave her a pack of 20mg tablets that she has been taking (thinking they were 10mg) for around 2 weeks. So her doseage has been 10mg for around a year, then accidentally switched to 20mg for 2 weeks. No side effects have been noticed. Is it ok for her to just go back to 10mg now she has realised? Thanks in advance ## The VA stopped giving pain med's to all VET'S a few months ago. I have hernaiated disc's in upper and lower back that causes a great deal of pain I''m 72 years old... I'm on Morphine sulf 60mg ER 1 table every 12 hours plus Fentora 400 MCG Buccal tablet 1 every 6 hours. I'm ran out of the Morphine Sulf and none of the farmacy have it on stock. Now I'm with a lot of pain, I think because I'm getting the morphine out of my system, but I do have at home Oxycodone 15 MG. Do you know if I can substitute the morphine for the Oxycodone safely until I get the Morphine back within 2 days. Also if I take the Oxycodone can I still take the Fentora safely. I will not take it together, but like I take Oxycodone now and within one hour it's the time for Fentora. ## Hi, Santa! Sorry about the problem that you're having finding your medication. How long does ER 60 mg morphine give pain relief per dose? ## Hi, Jane! How are you? Methadone withdrawal symptoms when switching from Methadone to Opana ER
43 Replies RSS
I am a 55 year old man, and I have been going to a Pain Management facility for lower back pain and now even chronic Osteoarthritic shoulder pain, and have been taking 60mg of Methadone every day (10mg tablets x 2 x 3 times a day -- morning, noon & night) for the past three years. Although I've been doing well on that regimen, perhaps out of more of a psychological concern over the known "qt" (heart) effects of the drug (rather than any "real" ones), I decided to ask my doctor if I could try Opana ER (20mg every 12 hours), which I had taken once before, for a short time, at another Pain Management facility, with great success. All I'm wondering are what the withdrawal effects might be (if any) of stopping the Methadone (60mg) on a Monday, and starting the Opa... ...

Can someone tell me if Someone takes 2-30 mg Oxycodone IR and 60mg Oxycontin ER are they same and dispensed the same into your body if you would cut the ER in half? My friend takes both and she is on mail order. They have made a mix up in her pills so now she will run out of the 30 mg tablets her doctor is 2 hours away and she has to have a driver take her there and that would be me and I am sorry I really do not have the time this week to do it. So I was wondering if she is used to these amounts and trust me she has been in chronic pain her entire life since a child what would be the difference. Ms Contin 15mger
3 Replies RSS
These dont seem to work can you take every 8hrs instead of 12hrs ## Hi Mike, It sounds to me like the dosage may not be strong enough for you; but to answer your question, the usual adult dose for pain is 5 to 30 mg every 3 to 4 hours as needed (when taking it Orally, Sublingual, or Buccal). The dosing indications for MS Contin (Morphine Oral) also state that "extended-release" tablet dosages range from 10 mg to 600 mg daily, given in equally divided doses every 8 to 12 hours or given as one dose every 24 hours. So depending on whether or not your tablets are extended-release, you should have some flexibility with the hours. I hope this helps! ## They are extend release ## If anyone is looking for a "buzz" with MS Contin, you are very unlikely to get it. These pills are ... ...

I have 30 individual doses of this med that my son was receiving via picc line at home. I have all the supplies as well. Wondered if i could donate them to someone in need or a clinic?? Just curious what one dose does cost? ## My insurance would not cover any of the costs and my doctor told me that zyvox will attack a lot of the germs that most antibiotics wouldn't, he went on to say that if there was any way I could afford the cost to do it because he felt this would save my foot, I borrowed the money and it cost me 98.00 per 600mg tablet and I was perscribed 28 tablets 1 every 12 hours for 14 days; so without taxes it cost me around 2750.00. oxycontin 12 hour time release 2x day

My tolerance is of course increasing to this prescription and I can not get a new stronger does from my Doctor as this med facility has strong rules against it. Here's a strange twist to my story: My Dr. said no to an increase in dosage and referred me to an outside pain specialist for my pain meds BUT! I also noticed that for the last two months my monthly prescription labeled for 60 tabs actually has about a weeks worth of extra oxy's. I know I'm not missing any doses. Oxycodone 10 hcl versus Oxycontin 10 mg
3 Replies RSS
I have been prescribed and taking oxycodone 10 hcl, 1-2 tablets every 6 hours. Today saw my spine surgeon (nurse practitioner) to get a refill prescription and what I was given was oxycontin 10 mg extended release, the prescription says to take 1-2 tablets every 6 hours. Isn't this too much from what I have been taking? My pain level has been maintained on the oxycodone 10 hcl every 6 hours along with tramadol 50 mg every 6 hours and neurontin 600 mg 4 times a day. ## No, it's still the same dosage of the relevant medication, because Oxycontin also contains Oxycodone. The different, however, is that what you were taking was the regular release formulation and the Oxycontin is the time released formulation. It's the time interval that could be problematic, because the Oxycont... ...
