I'm 36 years old, since last month my periods have been irregular. Spotting was there for 10 days only, then my Gyno prescribed me medicine so that I can get my regular period and she suggested a pelvic scan. I'm now done with my pelvic scan and I have a simple cyst in my Ovary, and now I'm suffering with heavy bleeding since the last 8 days. I also took 2 tablets of Pause 500mg, and two doses of Pause 1g. inj., but there is no effect and I'm still having heavy bleeding. What should I do now?

I have started taking diane 35 for the 1st time(1st time being on any pill contraceptive) on july 3rd stopped july 8 started spotting on july 10th light now on july 14 i think im having a period not really sure because of the spotting previously! How long does this last i. Worried and really need some help! Thanks!! ## Irregular bleeding can be a normal side effect of this hormonal contraceptive, according to the U.S. FDA for the first 3 months, or so. Other side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi doc .I need some help.I'm started using pills but in the third week I mis to tablet I'm so worried .I will get pregnant ....but I rake 2 tablets in another day and next 2 days I take again 2 tablet...

How are you? You need to go have things checked out with your doctor, again. It really sounds like your have a hormonal imbalance and that is going to need to be corrected to get things back on track. Do you take any other medications? Do you have any other medical conditions?

I removed Jadelle because of the constant bleeding (moderate and heavy spoting everyday between period, and heavy bleeding during period) I kept it in for seven months hoping that my body would adjust, I also gained a lot of weight (due to changes in my eating habit which I associate with the controception). I removed the Jadelle inpant 7 days ago but continue to spot lightly everyday, how long with it take for this to stop...before the implant I had a normal flow (28 days cycle) like clock work. I am also still having those severe cramps. ## Hello, Valeisha! How are you doing? Are you still spotting? Did you remove the implants yourself, or did your doctor remove them? It could take a couple months, before your body starts to get back to norma and you experience your normal cycles, aga...

I switched from ortho cyclen to Lo Loestrin Fe because of the low dosage of estrogen, but I have not stopped spotting since I started it 2 months ago. I am now cramping as if my cycle is about to start, but I am in the middle of the pill pack! I do not know what is going on, but I will be calling my GYN next week. Does anyone know when the spotting will stop? ## Went to potty and now I am seeing blood clots! This is aweful. ## Have you contacted your doctor, yet? The spotting like this can be normal for the first 3 months that you are taking a new contraceptive pill. However, if you are finding it to be severe and it's making you miserable, you should definitely discuss it with your doctor, as it may not be the right medication for you to use.

Hello My physcian put me on Sprintec to avoid a period for vacation. I started it lateJuly. I skipped the placebo. August 31 I started spotting and I am now on my vacation and on my 7th day of spotting. My Dr advised doubling up on the pill. What if I just stop it completely? I have marathon in 5 days and do NOT want to be bleeding. ## If you stop it completely, you will most likely start a full period, since it is a withdrawal of the hormones that induces your period. Spotting is normal, when taking oral contraceptives. It can occur for the first 3 months, or so, while your body is getting used to them. The FDA lists the other typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, PMS-like symptoms and weight gain. It would be best to follow your doctor's instructi...

So I started my first pack of lo loestrin fe on the 3rd and on the 16th I started spotting and It still hasnt stopped (todays the 25th) me and my boyfriend do not use condoms just the bc so should I be worried? I started spotting the day I was supposed to start my period. ## Hello, Baby! How are you? DId you start them on the first day of your period? If not, then you weren't immediately protected from pregnancy. If you start them at any other point in your cycle, you have to take them for 7 days, before they are fully effective. You're only immediately protected if you start taking them on the first day of your period. Have you consulted your doctor? Spotting can be normal, while your body is adjusting to the hormones, but it's best to get yourself checked out, just in case.

My wife is having spotting after 15 days of her periods. Doctor has advised 300 mg of Dubagest from the 16th day to the 25th day of her period. I wish to know the reason behind this? ## Hi, Kishore! How are you? Usually, if spotting occurs during the latter half of a woman's cycle, it means that she isn't producing enough of the hormone progesterone. The greater amount of is produced when she ovulates about half-way through her cycle. If there is a month where ovulation doesn't occur, then she doesn't produce enough of it to stabilize the endometrial lining and spotting can happen. Thus, the doctor has given her this to try to add it back to her body to stop the spotting. Is there anything else I can help with?

I am in the last few weeks of a depo inj. and have been perceived the pill to stop my cycle not for contraception been talking for 5 days and have spotting don't want a period can I take norethistrone as have these at home. Need not to be on in 2 days time!

I've been on Sprintec 28 for about 6 months. My period isn't for another week and I've been spotting the past couple of days. I've never missed a pill or skipped a period. Is this normal? ## Yes, it is a hormonal based contraceptive, so it is always possible for it to cause such a side effect, even if it has never done so before. If you've been ill, or under a lot of stress recently, that can also contribute to the problem. Have you consulted your doctor about it? ## Well it stopped and the next periods were normal. I just went to the doctor 3 days ago for a check up and now there is spotting again. I have been under a lot of stress, maybe that's triggering it. Thank you for you're reply!

Hello! I'm Eve and it's my first time to take Diane 35 so please help me. I'm on my 2nd week in taking Diane 35 and I missed 3 tablets so I took 3 tablets that night. My partner and I had an intercourse on that same night when I took 3 tablets. After 3 days, I'm experiencing spotting which I thought I'm starting to have my menstruation since it's my due date for my menstruation and stop my pill. I'm confused now if this is the side effect of Diane, my menstruation or it could be something else? ## Yes, that could be a side effect of taking these tablets, as well as from missing tablets, according to NIH reports. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, mood changes, and weight changes. You should not stop your tablets, just because you are due for you...

I am having regular periods but doctor told your having some hormones problem so she suggest to use krimson 35 for three months. For 1 month am using tablets .Normally I got my period but bleeding spotting is not stopped upto 17days and more of my periods .for that I want stop tablets or any side effect occurs ## Why did he say that you're having a hormone problem? If you stop them, you will likely have a full period. But the breakthrough bleeding that you're having now is completely normal and can happen, when you first start taking them, until your body gets used to them.

My doctor prescribed Medroxyprogesterone because I have irregular periods and I started taking it Nov 28th for 10 days. I started my period Dec 10th and it stopped Dec 17th. My fiancé and I are hoping to have a baby. Today Dec 26th I started spotting. I have not taken the pill yet and I feel weak and have a lot of cramps. Can I be pregnant or should I be concerned about this issue? ## Hello, Mari! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems that you're having. This is a hormone replacement medication, so those types of side effects can occur, as reported by the FDA. You may also experience nausea, headache, irritability and weight changes. However, the only way to know whether or not you are pregnant is to have it checked out. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hi, all- So the general rule of thumb I've always known is the lower the dose, the higher the chance of spotting/breakthrough bleeding. However, my doctor advised me that LO loestrin might actually lessen the change of intermenstrual bleeding because at a certain point, the dose gets so low that the lining of the uterus doesn't build up sufficiently for any bleeding to occur at all. My question: has anyone had experience with taking both Loestrin and Lo Loestrin? Did you experience, more, less, or the same amount of spotting/breakthrough bleeding between periods? I totally trust my doctor, yet I'm somehow reluctant to try lest it get even worse... Thanks! M ## My 15 yr old daughter had heavy bleeding and started bc to stop . She continued with heavy break through bleeding fo...
