My Mom is 70 years old and she is Diabetic and Hypertensive. She is on Diapride-2, Arbitel H and Atorvastatin av 75 mg along with PAN 40 mg. Even after taking PAN 40 before breakfast every day she doesn't feel relieved of gastritis. Is there any other alternative for PAN 40 in this case?

I have been taking pantium pantoprazole 40mg. While on holidays I discovered actavis pantoorazol 40mg (much cheaper). I m presuming the two are the same , just different manufacturers. Unless your doctor has instructed otherwise, you can take it whatever time of day is most convenient for you, you just need to be consistent and take it each day around the same time and it should be taken on an empty stomach, just before a meal. I have three to four bowel movements in the morning in a span of two hours some times there is undigested food particles like carrots. I am a pure vegetarian and have been eating only rice, boiled veggies, and lentils. Can pan 40 tablet help me in this regard. I have no heart burn or reflex problem. ## Some undigested food particles appearing in your stool is a normal occurence. I am taking Pan 40 in the morning for acidity but often times feel drowsy. Is Pan 40 the reason why? If so, should I stop taking it? I was prescribed by a doctor to tale proton 40. However i did not understand first the instruction of the pharmacist, all i was able to understan was to tale it BEFORE FOOD. And so i did it last night before eating, but now that I read the leaflet, it shows that i should be drinking it 1 hour before breakfast, i already have breakfast, is it still ok to take it? I recieved a prescription for Pantoprazole Sodium DR 40mg. But my pill looks completely different from what I've had in the past and is different from the descriptions I can find on what it should look like. I have a white, oval tablet with "97" imprinted on one side. The imprints vary between red or black in the same bottle. What do I have in my hands?
