IMy doctor switch from 75 mg of ic bupropion hcl to 150mg of ic bupropion sr I dont want to gain weight.People tell me wich is better. ## The only difference here is the dosage and the fact that the new one he prescribed for you is a sustained release tablet, which means you take one tablet a day and it is slowly released, rather than releasing all of the medication at once. The side effects, however, remain the same: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and headache. If you weren't gaining weight on it, then there isn't much chance that the new dosage is going to have that effect on you, either. I was receiving from Walgreens Bupropion 150mg SR which were green tablets imprinted M U12. Best medication I have ever been prescribed because it also acted as a stimulant therefore I no longer needed to sleep during the day. But after receiving the latest refiill I noticed I was again exhausted each day and needed to sleep. Later realized Walgreens gave me different tablets...a purple tablet imprinted S on one side and 525 on the other side. Walgreens said the purple tablet was exactly the same as the green tablet and it was FDA approved. What does FDA really mean? That the ingredients, the amount of each ingredient, and the quality of each ingredient is EXACTLY the same from one manufacturer to the next? Walgreens wouldn't return my money. weening off this antidepressant, i have been on it for 3 months. any one out there with exactly the same medicine? how many mg did u reduce it by and over what period of time. Thanks ## This type of information is probably best given by your doctor; only because the difference in dosages can affect each person differently. What might be a safe tapered-dose for one person could also end up being too drastic of a change for someone else. I would even ask your doctor to help you put together a tapering schedule (on a calendar), in order track your progress and keep you on the right path to completing your goal within a specific time frame. Without a way to track your progress, tapering can sometimes be much more difficult than it needs to be. I hope this advice helps! ...

Ihad my angioplasty done on 1st Aug 2011. I have been taking plavix 75mg for the past 2 weeks. This medicine is very costly 14 tablets costa around Rs1500/-around 30 dollars.I am from India. Can I replace this with Clopilet A 150 which also contains the same active ingrdinet clopidogrel anti coagulating agent pl advice I cant afford this medicine. ## Actually, Clopilet-A contains Clopidogrel and Aspirin, so I wouldn't advise switching to it, without your doctors approval. The regular Clopilet would be the equivalent medication that just contains Clopidogrel and, in that case, there should be no harm in switching, as long as you are taking the correct dosage.
