Can I have a tooth extracted if I'm using subutex? Will the local anaesthetic still work okay? Regards, Dave ## It should, since there is nothing in Subutex to neutralize it. The anesthetic used by dentists is not a narcotic and the Subutex doesn't contain Naloxone, anyway. However, I'd suggest making sure the dentist knows you're taking it, just to be on the safe side. 8mg Subutex

I've seen that people in the USA have started to get the new 8mg tablets which are smaller than the old 8mg one's and these were introduced in England as the old tablets were being abused. So they made the new pill smaller believing it would dissolve quicker but they were easier to hide and people had more risk of OD. This was mainly started by pressure from the home office to the drug companies because the abuse of subutex within the English prisons and the shadow economy within the prisons! ## I may of been stupid, but I took Subutex the whole time I was pregnant and my baby is perfectly healthy and scored really low with withdrawal symptoms. ## Mikeyf1973, what are the markings on them? Was on methadone fir 3 months and I've been off of it fir 1 month but I've been doing other opiates to get me through the withdrawal. I'm looking into taking subutex and wanted to no if I can take one right away or do I have to wait 24hrs for the opiates to get out of my system. ## Hello, Tiny! How are you? Subutex only contains Buprenorphine, it does not contain the Naloxone that is in Suboxone to cause withdrawal, so it does not require the waiting period. Hello i just found out i was having a baby i have bluecare insurance does anyone know a doc that prescribes subutex and takes my insurance and is in murfressboro tn please help ## I don't know how it is in TN, but judging by down here in GA, where I live and what I did when I found out I was pregnant and surprise surprise got laid off my job a week later. My best bet was to go get emergency Medicaid. And they would do anything to help you get off and stay off drugs, like they did for me. They paid for me to be in a private rehab center where they could monitor me and the baby and there were doctors and nurses there. So if suboxone makes withdrawal for and your child more bearable and safe, they'd probably have no problem with you having them since you'll be in a safe, clinic... ...

orange subutex

You people that are prescribed the subutex that you were asking the chat board questions about: If you are not a pregnant or breastfeeding woman as of July 1st 2015 then you will be prescribed suboxone or something else but never just plain buprenorphine. As far as the orange Halfmoon generic subutex, you take them the same way that you would take any other kind of subutex / suboxone; they are sublingual. ## What state are you referring to in the above comment? I'm a receptionist at a recovery clinic in PA we have not discontinued prescribing subutex. I have faxed or called in a total of 37 prescriptions this week alone. I think people come on the internet asking about different brands of drugs (not just buprenorphine) to see how other patients have reacted to the brand. Pharmacists... ...

Do they make a orange subutex? ## I just got my script filled this month for subutex. I used to get the white tablet with an arrow and 8 on each side. Today I got 8mg Orange oblonged shaped with 153 and a moon on it. They are pretty big compared to what I was getting. Same thing except they just don't dissolve as quickly and have a different taste. So apparently they do make orange ones, just found out today. ## Just for added confirmation - yes, it is true that they do make an orange oblong/oval generic 8mg Subutex (Buprenorphine hydrochloride) sublingual tablet with 153 on one side and the Actavis' half moon logo on the other. This tablet also contains the following set of inactive ingredients (binders/fillers), which may be different than what you might've been used to ta... ...

what is subutex

My husband has been on subtext for almost 8 years when he first started going to the clinic we thought that he was going to be weaned off the opiates but every trip to the doctors he was giving a prescription for more subtext which we are being charge a three hundred dollar visit every month and that doesn't include the price to have the prescription filled which we can't afford so my question is can he safely get off of this medicine? ## Yes, but it will require a slow taper to prevent withdrawal issues, since it does contain an opiate. The FDA warns that suddenly stopping it could cause rebound effects, such as nausea, pain, elevated heart rate, elevated blood pressure, fever, chills, and diarrhea. His doctor should be able to help him set up a proper tapering schedule. Has he... ...
