If I get prescribed the sublingual film could I ask the pharmacy to dispense the generic tablets ## No Nate. They won't switch out. Subutex is a completely different script. ## @nate, It probably wouldn't hurt to ask, but if I'm not mistaken, your doctor may have to be the one to make that request prior to writing your 'next' prescription. Usually the pharmacy will only give you what they have on the shelf at that time unless your doctor makes a point of notifying them on the script that you want a specific form of the medication. Do the sublingual films not work as well for you? ## I have a white round pill with the markings GPI A5 says to be Subutex. Is that so? ...

does subutex have a 3 on one side of it ## Hi Heather, Subutex pills do not have a 3 on them; or at least the white one's don't, as I haven't seen any other colors. The imprint on white subutex pills are: "B8" or "B2" on one side (depending on the dosage) and on the other side is a sword-like symbol. Does your pill have any other markings or imprints? ...

Why do people stay on suboxone for long periods of time? I was on 8 , 10/325s a day for 6months, and I was able to get off opiates with 2, 8 mg pills of suboxone. I took a whole pill (8mg) the first day, 1/2 (4mg) the next day, 1/4 (2mg) the 3rd day, and I stopped taking it. I saved 2mg just in case I withdrew. But I had little to no wd's. I would relapse a few months later for about two weeks. And was able to get off the opiate with just one 8mg sub. By taking a 1/2, a 1/4, an 1/8, and an 1/8 the 4th day. No wds. Knowing I had access to the subs gave me a way to use the opiates recreationally cuz it felt good. Kinda wish it wasn't available. But if it wasn't, I'd be stuck on the opiate. Thankfully I haven't used in 16 months cuz it can get expensive. :-\ ## I guess ... ...

My friens split what she says is a subutex with me one side has the 54 on it the other has a line do they have 8 mg subutexs with a line scored on one side that arent completely flat ## Hi sammijo, I haven't seen any Subutex that are scored as you mentioned them to be (at least from looking online). However one that did catch my eye is a round white generic Buprenorphine tablet with the number "54" sitting over another set of numbers "411" on one side and blank on the other. I wonder if it is possible that your friend could've gotten the half which contained these other numbers? And do you feel she is someone you can honestly trust when it comes to something like this? I imagine it's possible that the pill could be from some manufacturer overseas, but because... ...

White round pill with no imprint - subutex?
1 Reply RSS
Hi, I have a white round pill. It has no imprint on either side. But it looks just like a subutex. Is there a subutex with no imprint? What is it? ## No, under current FDA law in the U.S. all manufactured tablets must have a unique imprint to enable their identification. Tablets without any marking are most likely some type of over the counter product. The FDA warns that Subutex carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with? ...

Does generic subutex have the numbers 501? ## Hi Leslie - Hmmm, I don't believe so. The only info I could find about a white tablet with the imprint 501 is Mirtazapine 45 mg, which is used to treat depression. (NDC 53808-0737). Does that sound about right to you? If not then I would double check where the medication was obtained. Are there any other markings or packaging for the tablet? Also, is it kind of oval shaped at all, or is it definitely a round circle? ...

Need to find a similar pill to a 8mg subutex with imprint. 54 411 ## Unfortunately there aren't any pills with the same imprint and/or color, since this is what makes these 8mg Subutex tablets unique amongst other pills on the market. The closest match I was able to find is a white round pill marked "54 755", however this also happens to be generic Subutex.
