Suboxone 8mg Twice Day Will Doctor Up

Hi all, I just made the switch from Methadone to Suboxone! YES! I went through hell to get here but I did it. Anyway, I'm on day 3 of suboxone and I'm at 16mg. My question is should I take two 8mg strips in the morning or one in the morning and one in the afternoon? Any input would help. Btw, this is the ONLY forum I've found that is updated! ## It is generally given in a single daily dose, though splitting it up may work better for you and can be done, if your doctor approves. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I'm new to suboxone. I was taking about 140mg of hydrocodone for a very long time. Dr prescribed suboxone film 8/2mg twice a day. Has anyone cut the film into smaller doses? For example dose yourself every 4 or 6 hours with a cut piece of film. I have an odd job where I work 12 hour days, i'm concerned of feeling "loopy" at work. This is a very private and personal journey and wish to keep my work out of it. I would appreciate any suggestions. I just started today( on my day off, have the next 2.5 days off) w/ 8mg/2mg. Hi,Ive recently began suboxone treatment @ (8mg/2mg) twice daily,today is my 3rd day. My question is straightforward,how many mgs of suboxone is "considered" closely equal to only 80 mg of hydrocodone? There really is no direct conversion, but the rough one that's usually used is 1.2mgs of the Buprenorphine to each 30mgs of Hydrocodone, but the person's overall tolerance to narcotics must be factored in, along with the fact that the Suboxone is dosed once a day, where the other was taken several times a day. My 63y/o mother survived chemo and radiation for throat cancer but was unable to stop the morphine 15mg twice a day without horrible withdrawal symptoms. Her MD put her on Suboxone 8mg/2mg once a day in June. She even took half the strip on most days and the doctor was very pleased and anticipated that she would be able to stop altogether in November. She unfortunately had a stroke 14 days ago and has been in the hospital. The first 7 days she was confused from the stroke but now she is weak and forgetful but is no longer disoriented. iam on suboxone 8mg 3x a day my dr has kept me on this for over 2 years and intends to keep me on it the problem is he charges 150 dollars per visit and only gives me enough for two weeks at a time so i have to come back twice a month and pay 300. that in itself i find horrible that he wont give me a month supply just so he can get an extra 150 but anyways the problem is a week and a half ago i was due for a new script but i had a problem with my pay so i wont be getting paid for another 3 to 4 weeks so i cannot afford my appointment i called my doctor and he basiclly said without the money he wont see me now he pushed this drug on me claming it was less addictive then opiates and the withdrawls wouldnt be as bad but they are and i cant even go to my local er i called and explained the ...

I had a problem with opiates for 6 years. My drug of choice was Roxy 30s, and occasional OC 80 (when Roxy wasn't available). I am now 2 years clean and I am on Suboxone 8mg 4x per day. After a year of taking this, I started feeling very tired. I went for a sleep study and they prescribed Nuivigil 250mg twice a day, over the FDA's guidelines. After 6 months my moods were out of whack. I had symptoms of BiPolar, so my doctor gave me 50 mg of Pristiq. I noticed some change but after a month I was back to the mood swings. I have been on Fentanyl 100mcg/hr, In vivo delivery of 100mcg/hr for 72 hours and I change them every 2 days instead of every 3 days so the amount of medication doesn't drop too low. I am wondering how the withdrawal is with this drug. How severe, how long it takes to get out of your system and if there is another drug used to help with the weaning? Does one need to be hospitalized & under a doctors care? I have been taking 8mg suboxone, twice a day for one year, and my dr s office haste added level testing. I have been not skipping any doses, and my dr put me on probation, so I kept a journal and took medication as prescribed, and once again, the lab said I was taking 4mg not 16mg. Im brokenhearted, I am not being dishonest, but they cut me off. Hi everyone. Hopefully someone out there has some advice for me. I have been on subs since October 17th of '12 and I take it everyday HOW PRESCRIBED which is 1 and 1/2, total 12 mugs a day of the 8mg strips. I don't take at a set time or anything like that and sometimes don't take at all or at least the whole prescribed amount. Well long story short here; I take drug tests every month and sometimes twice a month for my sub doctor and have never had a problem with my results. I have also taken pre-employment screens and they are fine as well. All of these tests are urine. Well back in November I had an appt with a caseworker at JFS to review my sobriety and caseplan progress. Worked EXTREMELY well for me a few years ago on pain pills. Took it the morning of the test and peed twice and it ended up being a mouth swab test and I passed. A friend of mine, who does not lie, said that he smoked marijuana on the way to take the darn test and passes. I wouldn't recommend that. They say not to use anything for 72 hours. I think I had gone 24 hours without anything, took the stat flush , drank 32 ounces of water, peed twice, and took the test about 1 hour and a half after I took the stat. Now I'm trying to see if it will do the same for a few Xanax. I got off the pain pills using very very very small amounts of suboxone. In fact, a doctor gave me 90 to last a month?
