If someone was taking 8mg suboxene 1x a day for 8 years, could they take about 30 milligrams of liquid methadone for 30 days to detox from suboxene and have no withdrawals/side effects. Please advise asap. ## Hi Gene! Before you start the methadone you must be in withdrawals. Are you going through a clinic or on your own? Since you've been on suboxone for awhile, it may take longer than 30 days to get clean. Methadone in it self is addictive too. If you are going to do this in a month you will probably still go through withdrawals for awhile. Again, being you were on suboxone for some time. Let us know how you are doing.

Why would someone take suboxone and subutex at the same time. Are they not basically treating the same condition? ## Yes, the only difference is that the Suboxone contains Naloxone, to neutralize other narcotics that someone may try to take at the same time. However, the narcotic in both is Buprenorphine, which is used to treat drug addiction and severe cases of pain that is resistant to other medications. Have they both been prescribed to someone?

How long should I wait to take suboxene I took 8 mg diluadid at 4am ## Hello, Ivy! How are you? You need to be in full withdrawal from your drug of choice, before you take Suboxone, otherwise the Naloxone in it may throw you into precipitated withdrawals. After that, you should follow your doctor's dosing instructions. This is a narcotic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi Ivy! I was on methadone and switched 2 suboxone. I had 2 wait until I was withdrawing b 4 I could take the suboxone. need to know if medicaid in north carolina will pay for suboxene script from a suboxene clinic ## Call your health plan and ask them or you can go to a pharmacy with your prescription and your Medicaid card. ## Effective as of July 11th 2016, Suboxone is shown to be listed on the North Carolina Medicaid preferred drug list. The PDF file can be viewed on the following link, and you'll find Suboxone under the "OPIOID DEPENDENCE" category: dma.ncdhhs.gov/document/preferred-drug-list It probably would also be a good idea to call and confirm these details per BL's suggestion just for good measure. I hope this helps!

I have been on suboxene for a little more than a year and my doctor won't taper me down ski need to find out a successful taper that will work and hopefully pretty fast. Please help. ## Why don't you just change doctors to someone who may be more willing to work with you? As a paying customer, you have a choice with whom you spend your money, and in the end it's his loss for not wanting to help you. I would strongly recommend seeing a pain management specialist since they are at least more knowledgeable and understanding of these types of medications and what true chronic pain patients really have to go through. Some medications can be taken in fractions (actually cut into pieces) and these smaller pieces can be taken in place of the regular dose for a period of several week...

My doctor told me if you're on suboxene or subutex it's not a good idea to mix it with gabapentin. Why is this because I was taking gabapentin for 15 years ## Hello, Tessa! How are you? It is due to the depression of the central nervous system that can occur, when they are taken together, according to the FDA, it could result in respiratory distress, coma, respiratory failure, heart failure and possibly death. It is just best to avoid the combination, if other choices are available. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Why are you saying to one person it is ok to take gabapentine with suboxone and another that they shouldn't?? ## Hi Tessa some doctors are ok with it while some don't like doing it.my doctor said I could take gabapentine instead of my Lyrica with my ...

Does anyone know of what vitamins to supplement the effects of long-term suboxene use? Been having a hard time finding the information ## Hi, Jax! How are you? The reason you aren't finding that information is because such studies aren't done. It's just not something that money is typically spent on research to see what vitamins best help someone taking any given prescription medication. It would be great if it were done, but I'm not sure that will ever actually happen. Learn more Suboxone details here. You should check with your doctor to see if it's okay for you to add a good multi, that would probably be the best way to go about it. Then you make sure that you get all of the essentials.

Hi i live in the state of Texas and i have been on Suboxene for 18 months. My doctor is 90 minutes away so they really work with me and i only actually have to go see him every 4 months. Well, i get 60 of the 8 mg strips a month and im prescribed 2 a day, but i have been tapering down because i cannot afford the 275.00 doctor fee every month. I just made a month script last me 2 months. I've never failed a drug panel, always paid them on time. Well, I ran out of my suboxene 4 days ago and its not even my fault because my doctor office is so busy they cant see me until monday. So i nicely asked the doctor assistant to call me in a few until they can see me because im starting to feel really bad and she has done it for me before, but now that there's a female Doctor instead of a m...

will taking 15 mg of amrix daily help with the withdrawels from methadone. ## IDK,but I know for a FACT that suboxenes WILL!!!I'm 110%POSITIVE of this!!(cause I DID it)lol ## Well I can tell you one thing suboxone is a wonder drug. Why I say that is because I was taking anything I could get my hands on. Then I met opanas, oh my god that is the closest thing to methadone that there is. My opinion I think opana 40 two or three times a day is harder to detox than methadone. I've done both anyway. suboxone made me feel normal. I didn't want to take any opiates and I was around it every day and offered it and didn't do it so yeah if you can afford it go with suboxone, good luck, you're going to need it ...

I qwent to my drug store to get my prescribed Hysingla, wrong spelling, but I went on Friday, the day I was due and they took my script, and then we won't have this until Monday. What can I expect in the way of withdrawal if any? Would it be safe to take Suboxene for one day until I can get my regular meds? Any info would be greatly appreciated. ## Yes, you may experience withdrawals, which the NIH lists as possibly including nausea, dizziness, fever, chills, rebound pain, anxiety, and diarrhea. You should not take Suboxone, unless your doctor approves, because it can block all other medications for 72 hours, and taking it, when you aren't already in full withdrawal could cause you to go into dangerous precipitated withdrawals, according to FDA warnings.
