I started on Xeljanz Feb 5; 5 mg twice a day. Within a week I experienced a very raw, sore tongue, mouth, loud ringing in my ears, blurred vision and dizziness. Anyone else experienced any of these? ## Wow! I'm sorry about the experience you had. Are you feeling better, now? Has anyone else experienced this? Blurred vision and dizziness are listed as typical side effects of this medication, by the FDA. They also list ear congestion as being possible, so that may be why you experienced the ringing. It can also cause a sort throat, but I didn't see anything about the rawness. ## I have alot of these symptoms mentioned but I've been suffering with severe neck pain, in the muscles and tendons, on one side, which seems to be causing earache and sinus headache for 6 months now. I...

I was at the hospital on the 30th of August this year, and he said everything looked positive so I could come of Apixiban if I wanted- but I would need to get a blood test on the 30th of September. Now- I am only 18 years old and I have PTSD over hospitals and needles to I chose to come off it- as I had my PE around the 30th of January this year. So that's around 5 days I've been of the Apixiban- but I'm in so much pain! Not as severe as the actual PE it's self granted but enough to worry me. The doctor said if I was in pain to go to A & E as soon as just to be cautious. It's what I can describe as 'growing pains' even though I know it's not. That was how my PE started in the first place- from my legs. I am moving about unlike before and I am NEVER going

So I have been on the sprinted pill for months, now I stopped for a month and I started it that Sunday. The next day on Monday I had intercourse. I haven't seen my period for a week. I'm assuming the worst but I read that sometimes when you skip a month and start again it could make your period late. Could this be the case? ## Hello, Revlon! How are you? It could be either. You may be pregnant, or your cycle may just be off, because you took a break from it. How late is your period? The FDA lists the typical side effects of oral contraceptives as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, weight gain, irritability and PMS-like symptoms. ## It is going on a second week it was supposed to be on last week ## And another thing is I finished the birth control pack as well that...

I was on 10 mg of Brintellix for about 4 months and then my doctor added 10 mg of Rexulti. I felt like i was being stimulated. He then upped my Brintellix to 20 mg and my anxiety went crazy. I was having racing thoughts and couldn't sit still. In my mind i had to be doing something all the time. I also started having panic attacks. This was only over a 2 week period. I then dropped back to 10 mg and cut my rexulti to 5 mg. I told the doctor I wanted to switch back to celexa. He told me to just stop the Brintellix and start the celexa at 10 mg. It's been about 2 weeks now and I still have panic attacks and I wake every morning feeling anxious which last most of the day until the evening. I can't handle this anxiety. I feel amped up. It's like the side effects are continui...

I was on 50 mg epitec per day. I have stopped the medication with the supervision on my pscychiatrist. What are some of the effects of NOT drinking it anymore. We want another baby and can't fall pregnant while I am on the epitec. ## Hello, Mich! How are you? As listed by the FDA, withdrawal effects may include nausea, dizziness, fever, chills, depression, mood swings and weight changes. What condition was being treated?

I was taking Nexito Plus for the last 4 years. Three months ago I stopped taking it as I felt some side effects like nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth in the morning, and I gained weight, was feeling hungry. Life became more passive. I changed my dietary system, started doing exercise, eating healthy food, controlled my anxiety. I made a complete change in the life pattern .It's a miracle.I feel much better. Don't stop taking this medicine until you cannot do the things I am doing. ## Wonderful! Thanks for your post and I am glad you are doing so well, without the medication, now. Nexito contains the active ingredient Escitlopram and it can cause those side effects in some people, however, not everyone cans successfully go off of it, some people will require life-long medications, if ...

I've stopped taking xarelto and my heart medication (it's been twenty days). I never told my doctor and I don't plan on taking them ever. I'm still here, I've got no side effects, I'm 56 yrs old and I'm 350 lbs obese. I was put on them because my heart rate went to 233 beats a minute, an yes, I had artireal heart rythm. Oh, did I mention that I was on them for 18 months and I just went cold turkey? ## I've been on it for over three years at 20 mg due to a blood clot. I quit taking it on Monday per the hematologist. I've been having an annoying headache, and lots more energy. Once the headache is gone I think I'll feel like I used to three years ago. Has anyone had the headaches? Maybe it's not related. ## It's been over 36 days since I wen...

How are you? Yes, unless your doctor instructs otherwise, you should continue taking them. Bleeding/spotting can be a normal side effect of them, according to the U.S. FDA, and may continue for about 3 months, or so, while your body is getting used to them, ag...

Last period was on Apr 21st. Started Minastrin 24 Fe on Apr 25. Bled for 22 days straight. Stopped taking pill on May 19th. No real period since. Has anyone had issues like this? Help please? ## Hello, Lor! How are you? Have you had a period, yet? The bleeding like that can be normal, when you first start a hormonal contraceptive, such side effects usually last about 3 months, or so and taking it for a bit, then abruptly stopping, could throw your hormones off balance, so your cycle could be off. ## I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. MINASTRIN 24 FE MADE ME BLEED FOR 25 DAYS. CALL YOUR PHYSICIAN, AND STOP USING IT.

Hi, i stopped using the oralcon on the 8th of October 2019. I was bleeding for 5 days there after. In November i had my period for two days and in December i had it for 3 days. All three months i was bleeding very little not even to fill a pad but when i urinate and wipe myself there will be a lot of blood on the tissue. In Dec i had my period for three days on the 16th until the 18th and on the 21st of December i had a little blood and discharge on my underwear. Can i be pregnant ## If you have had periods, it is not likely that you are pregnant. Since Oralcon is a hormonal contraceptive, stopping it can cause your body's hormone levels to be off balance, for awhile, which may result in irregular periods, and changed levels of bleeding. It can take a few months for your body to reg...

After I had my tubes tied I had problems with my periods. My doctor put me on lo loestrin and I took it with no problems for years. Almost 3 months ago at 48 years old, I decided to stop taking them. Since then, I have had very tender breasts, mild hot flashes and some cramping but no period. I realize these could be typical side effects from stopping those hormones but with no period for 3 months at 48, could this be perimenopause? ## Hello, Deb! How are you? Yes, it could be either, or, perhaps even both. Perimenopause can start as early as 35, according to the NIH. I started dealing with issues from it at 42, so the past few years have been rather adventurous. The hot flashes cause me to lean towards it being peri, but only your doctor could say for sure. If that is the case, other s...

I have been on the 145 dose of Linzess for several years now, and it was like a miracle drug. No side effects, and for the first time in 30 years, regular BMs. The past few months have not been so great, though. Constipation, bloating and cramps have returned. I saw my Gastro a few weeks ago, and she upped my dosage to the 290. No change. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? So frustrating! ## Unfortunately, many people have reported the same experience, though the amount of time have varied. Are you making sure to take it with a full glass of water, at least half an hour, before eating or drinking anything else, as directed by the FDA? The bloating and cramps can be side effects of this medication, but it usually causes diarrhea, rather than constipation. Are you on any other ...

Been on this for 2 years and was doing fine but now depressive symptoms back I can function at work but then spend weekend sleeping. I exercise 6 days a week but feel joyless ## Hello, Lola! How are you? What dose are you taking? It is normal for your body to eventually get used to any medication you take for a long period of time and for it to stop working as well for you. The time frame can vary from person to person, so there's no way to say when it will happen. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight changes. Have you consulted your doctor? You may need a dosage adjustment or to try a different medication. ## I've been on pristiq for 8 months. I did improve with depression and anxiety b...

My name is beauty am 28, I was placed on birth control pill by my doctor due to irregular menstrual flow. And ve been on it for 8 months now but since I noticed that my flow is now regular I decided to stop in May n in may I saw my period but I didn't see it in June.I did pregnancy test n it was negative,I can even feel d sign but is just not coming out. Pls wat can I do am scared. ## Hello, Beauty! How are you? First of all, please calm down. Skipping your period isn't a bad thing and it isn't harmful. You took this hormonal based contraceptive for months, then just suddenly went off of it, so you've likely thrown your natural hormones off balance and it may take a few months for them to balance back out on their own. And it was this medication that was causing them to b...

Hi guys hoping to get some advice here, I was out on lexapro after a pretty bad pannick attack from medication in as given by a doctor that dehydrated me and put me in the ER. I took 10mg of generic Lexapro at 10mg for a bit over a week and was so tired that it was hard to stay awake, spoke to the doctor and he said to switch to 5mg which I did for about a week the we cut down to 2.5mg for about a week then cut it down to half of that pill for about 4 days. After doing this I cut it down to half of that pill for 3 days. During this time of cutting down each dose I had a few symptoms as In slight anxiety not much, nervousness, minor headaches which got stronger for a few days then went away, brain fog, depersonalization and just a alone feeling. Within the time I had been on it I have lo...

I went to the ER on Christmas due to an unknown allergic reaction to some sort of food I ate. After all was said and done, I was given a prescription for a 4mg Medrol dose pack, one for benadryl and one for zantac (explained to me as a catalyst for the other two medications). I continued dosage as instructed through the third day. The fourth day, I took the before breakfast dose and none others. The entire time on the medrol, I had EXTREME (6 bottles of water in 2 hours) thirst, woke up several times a night to urinate, elevated bp and heart rate. I was anxious, wired, my chest was tight, my face was burning red, I was sweating significantly more than normal, and my personality was gone. I said maybe 20 words total the days I was on it, and my brain felt empty. It was very hard to conce...

How are you doing? I'm very sorry about the problems that you're having. Some of them were likely caused by the sudden withdrawal, when you are adding hormones, your body stops producing any of its own, so stopping abruptly may cause sudden withdrawal symptoms, just like that which happens with actual drugs. However yes, if you are passing out, you need to see a doctor as soon as possible. Why did you stop using it? ## I am 49 Ang have been taking it for 22 months. I can't afford ...

I've been taking Depakote for 11 years and went off of it for 3 months. That was not good. Been back on for 2 months. I just don't feel right. Still side effects of headaches, nervous and some anxiety and aches. Could it be that it stopped working? Or something else? Thanks. ## Were you taking it as a mood stabilizer due to being bipolar or did you use it as anti-convulsant? Did you taper off when you stopped or did you just go cold turkey? It could be that you're brain had been "rewiring" itself so to speak, and now it's back in the process of changing again. So it might just be something that will pass as your brain readjusts to it. ## It’s for anxiety and mania. But it’s been like 3 months. It’s working for the worst but I’m just off. M...
