A US pharmacy used to sell them. What ingredient was in the first version of Ortega that they sold? The pain was relieved after the first use, also helped my son with his pain after surgery on his cartilage on his knee. ## Correction - It was not a US pharmacy, the name of the store is "the US Pharmacy" on main street. They were a purple pill, then they changed to orange and then back to purple but a thinner round purple pill, that I believe they stopped selling the original one. They also helped my son with his meniscus knee injury after two surgeries. The info on the bottle said " they also prevented bone cancer". They were $13 for 30 tablets. I have a box from them but don't know from which batch. The box is dark purple with green lettering "Ortiga" exija ...

I have SPMS and have been taking Ampyra for a month. in the beginning I felt nothing but the side effects of lower back pain and increased balance issues. Those stopped, and I thought maybe it was helping me walk a bit stronger. Then the knee pain started. I didn't connect it to Ampyra at first. But I've found it listed as a side effect in a users forum. getting up from chairs is very painful and I believe the pain has made my walking worse. this is counterproductive and I wonder if I should continue. ## Knee pain isn't listed among the side effects reported by the FDA. Back pain is, as well as insomnia, dizziness, headache and constipation. Have you consulted your doctor to be sure? It would be best to have this checked out to rule out other possible causes. Is this the onl...

Have been taking omeprazole 20 mg BID for about four months. Experiencing debilitating knee joint pain lately and tried to rule out variables such as gluten sensitivity, dairy, etc etc. No improvement. Stopped taking this med and in days knee pain gone. Correlation? Why? ## Hello, MJCARNINO! How are you? Sorry about the problem that you've had. Yes, leg pain can be a side effect of this medication, though as is usual, there's real no explanation as for why it may cause it. However, there are other options that you can try. Have you spoken to your doctor about it? ## I don't have GERD, but my doctor thinks I may have silent reflux. As precaution, he told me to take one Prilosec per day before bedtime. I started 3 days ago, and have developed severe mujscle and joint pain, mos...

After only two weeks of taking oxybutynin 10 mg once a day, I am suffering from severe knee pain. Has this happened to anyone else? ## Hello, Yvette! How are you? Has there been any change? The FDA doesn't list that as a side effect, but they do list back pain, so it is most likely reasonable to assume that it may cause pain in other areas of the body, as well. I tried this one years ago and always got sick shortly after taking it, so I had to stop it. Have you tried any other medications in this class? ## I stopped taking Oxybutynin but the pain continued. I think my pain was caused by trauma when I helped a friend move. Thhe knees are slowly improving so I think the meds are not at fault. ## Yvette, the same happened to me. Not only my knees but all my joints. Blurred vision, terr...

if i stop taken suboxen 14hrs ago can i take 5mgs. oxy. imediate release now and will i get and feel the affects of the oxy? i recently had knee surgery and the pain is getting to me today. ## I REALLY NEEDA ANSWER TO THIS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. HELP HHELP HELP ## It is very doubtful, it's usually recommended that someone be off of the Suboxone for at least 24 hours, before taking another narcotic. This is due to the Naloxone in the Suboxone, which helps neutralize other opiates to prevent their abuse, while someone is under treatment with the Suboxone. Oxycodone is also a narcotic, so it may cause similar side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation. Are there any other questions or comments? ## If your on suboxone there's a reason for that no? Stay on keep...

I was taking a specially compounded formula of hormones that worked quite well for me. But they were very expensive so I asked my primary care doctor if he could recommend some bio-identicals that my insurance would cover. He prescribed Est Estrogen Mtest Tab Amne. They are green stamped IP 77.About 3 weeks after starting these I noticed my teeth were very sensitive to heat, I talked to myself A LOT and I started having pain in my hips, knees and ankle as well as leg and foot cramps. When I called the doctor they told me to stop taking the pills and if the pain got worse to go to the ER over the holidays. That's been a week and I still have pain my legs and hip. How long before these effects go away? ## Does est estrogenmtest tab amn cause severe hip, leg, and knee pain? At times, I...

Have been using Mesulid for chronic knee pain from osteoarthritis. It has been the only medication that has stopped the inflammation and pain. I was prescribed from a pharmacy in Greece. Here in the states I can't get it. ## I experienced severe muscle spasms in the States after Physical Therapy for my upper back. We traveled to Greece in August of 2009, a week after the symptoms first appeared, and while I was still in incredible physical pain. A doctor here prescribed Mesulid, until he could see me, once he returned from vacation, 4 days after the prescribed medication. It hasn't been a super drug yet, but it HAS helped lessen my symptoms, and helped me cope a bit better. It has also made me drowsy and yesterday, 2 days after administration, I have a dull headache. However, at...

I have had 3 Prolia injections so far. Only recently did I see a pattern regarding the ensuing pain. After each injection, I would have about four pain-free days. Then I would have five months of constant and debilitating pain in both hips, both knees, both thighs and both shins. At the end of the fifth month, the pain would stop suddenly, and I would have one month with no pain at all. This would be followed, of course, by another Prolia injection, and the pattern would repeat itself. The reason I kept going with the Prolia was that my rheumatologist informed me that my pain had no connection to the drug! It took me three repetitions to smarten up and decide to believe my body. I will be having no more injections! ## Hi Jan, Glad to hear you're taking back control over the pain! No...

I have a torn Labium in my hip, chronic arthritis in my right knee, plus back pain. I'm having surgery soon for my hip (thank goodness). I've been on oxy for 3 years 10/325 and it's not helping any more. Not sure what to do. ## Hello, Rose! How are you doing? I'm sorry that you're in pain. The best thing to do would be to inform the prescribing doctor that it is no longer helping your pain. It is normal to develop a tolerance to a medication that you've taken for a long-period of time and for it to stop working as well, when that happens. It might be time to move on to a different medication to handle your pain. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth an...

Got one month to before my 90 days on xarelto is over. I have been experiencing severe pain in my knees, ankles, hips and elbows. Never had this pain prior to the medication. Doctor shrugged off my concerns. I really need to know if this will stop after I am done xarelto. ## Hello, Chelle! How are you doing? Has there been any change? Many people have reported experiencing various body aches and pains, while taking Xarelto, and these symptoms are listed as possible side effects in the FDA patient advisory leaflet. It may also cause dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and easy bruising. However yes, such symptoms usually go away, once the medication is discontinued, but it may take a few weeks for them to fully abate. If they are really severe, you should inform your doctor, ...

Been on lansoprazole 30 mg for 2 years. Feeling nausea headaches & cracking knees. Can I stop immediately or wean off to 15 mg then stop? ## Hello, Willow! How are you? You should be able to just stop, unless your doctor instructs otherwise. The worst symptoms from a sudden withdrawal are sometimes rebound heart burn and reflux. The nausea and headaches can be normal side effects, as reported by the FDA, you may also experience stomach pain and flatulence. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I posted a similar thread to yours, but was wondering if you ever found out if the stopping the Lansoprazole was the cause of your headaches? Did they stop eventually? I'm on 3 weeks and I'm still fighting them! Thanks! Ref: rxchat.com/Discuss/325908

I took 30 mg a day from3 weeks, then dropped it to 20 mg per day. About 6 days after dropping to 20 mg, I started to get pain in joints, primarily hands, feet, knees, elbows, etc. I am being treated for PE's. My rheumatologist tested me for all connective tissue orders which were all negative. I am suffering and only take Tylenol for pain, which is not too helpful. I am debating if I should switch blood thinners or if joint symptoms will reduce over time with the Xarelto. Thank you to all. ## Hello, Cenzo! How are you? Another commonly reported problem is weight gain of generally greater than 40 pounds. Is there anything ...

i am under doctors care and waiting for the results of my second di dimer test. After 6 months of taking it I am off it for about 10 days. I have bad knees today I woke up with pain and swelling don't know if it's my knees or another clot. Saturday no doctor. Can I restart the drug for a day or two? ## Hello, John! How are you? Has anything changed? If you've had prior clots, you should likely seek out an urgent care or ER and have this checked out to be safe. I'd not recommend restarting the medication, without a doctor's approval. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Xarelto as including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and easy bruising.
