This is used alone or in combination with other medications to treat high blood pressure and other heart conditions. I hope you and your sister are feeling better now; but I do have to question why you would even start taking a random medication if you have no idea what it's supposed to be used for? Not only is that irresponsible, but if it were something else, it could also be life-threatening. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Perindopril Details I hope this helps!

I have Eosinaphilic Gastroenteritis and started slow on Medrol due to past experience with high dose Prednisone causing high blood pressure. After taking 4mg Medrol my BP was 149/99 within 12 hours. I am 33 very fit and work out regularly, I have no other health issues. Why would steroids cause such a drastic spike in BP? There aren't a lot of treatment options for my condition so I'm trying to figure out why this is happening. ## Hello, Mike! How are you? It's just due to the nature of how they work in the body, all steroids/hormones can cause blood pressure elevation. I've actually found that I had the least amount of issues with Prednisone, myself. However, 149/99 isn't really a drastic spike, that's only about mid-range. Have you consulted your doctor? You ma...

But they did not stop the drug despite my liver damage. They told me that this is a cardiology unit. Shut up and that your medicine. My husband has been on subtext for almost 8 years when he first started going to the clinic we thought that he was going to be weaned off the opiates but every trip to the doctors he was giving a prescription for more subtext which we are being charge a three hundred dollar visit every month and that doesn't include the price to have the prescription filled which we can't afford so my question is can he safely get off of this medicine? ## Yes, but it will require a slow taper to prevent withdrawal issues, since it does contain an opiate. I've just started Bystolic -I take Fenofibrate, Lisinopril and Amlodipine but my BP was (and remains) at 160/74. This has been true for several years. I'm an exerciser and within an hour after exercise my bp is 130/60. My at rest pulse is 55. Since I've been on Bystolic (2 days) my pulse is lower but my bp hasn't moved. I'm a bit slower in my exercise regimine - from 13.5 min./mile to 15 min./mile - I'm 72 ## It sounds to me like you're doing great as far as exercise goes. My only suggestion would be to turn most of your attention to what you're eating on a regular basis, as I believe this has a significant impact on your BP levels overall. I used to have high BP for years in the range of 150/90, but was able to control it by controlling my eating habits ...

They say that if blood pressure isn't lowered by taking hyzaar 50/12.5 mgs once a day, then upping the dosage to hyzaar 100/12.5 mgs will not make much of a difference... Is that true? ## It really depends, if it doesn't work, at all, that can be true and the person will most likely need to try a different medication. If it helps some, but doesn't take it down to the ideal level, then a higher dose could help. I experienced this, when I first started Labetalol, the initial dose of 100mgs did help, but I wasn't at the best numbers, so we took it up to 200mgs and now it works very well for me. However, I've also had others I tried that did nothing, so my cardiologist didn't think it was worth trying higher doses, since they just didn't seem to work for me. The ...
