does zanaflex tablets contain sodium lauryl sulfate ## No, the name brand does not, aside from the active ingredient Tizanidine, the inactives are listed at being silicon dioxide colloidal, stearic acid, microcrystalline cellulose and anhydrous lactose. I found in the generic Bystolic, among other chemicals as inactive ingredients Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and at least one artificial color ?! Does lyrica/ pregabalina have sulfur in it ## Hi Lady D, Based on my research, certain manufacturers of Lyrica (pregabalin) do put in a substance called "sodium lauryl sulfate"; which can bring about an allergic reaction in those with sulfa allergies. That said, your best bet would probably be to inform your doctor and/or pharmacist about this allergy, so they can make sure they give you the proper form of Lyrica. This past month, Aug.,2011, Insurance refused to pay for my Inderal so I had to take the generic propranolol. After two weeks of dizziness, I looked for the inactive ingredients on the internet and found that propranolol contained sodium lauryl sulfate as an inactive ingredient. No wonder I was dizzy--how can that stuff be allowed in our prescription drugs? It's a detergent and skin irritant. I understand the liver cannot process it. Any comments on this?
