This is generic Fioricet (Butalbital 325mg / Acetaminophen 50mg / Caffeine 40mg) pain medication prescribed for severe migraine and sinus headaches. It has been around for decades. It is not an opiate and this is not considered a "scheduled medication", (yet, the brand name of this medication "Fiorinal" IS labeled a schedule III controlled drug). It may cause drowsiness and it can be habit forming. (Photo here: Pill Image) ## Thank you for providing such a thorough pill identification, description and image for reference. I would like to see an image of the pill by Alvogen marked A 247. And feedback on how it worked please. ## Hi Sue - The round blue pills from Alvogen inscribed with A 247 contain Butalbital 50 mg, Acetaminophen 325 mg and Caffeine 40 mg (NDC 47781-625) - generic for Fioricet. You can see an image from the manufacturer at If anyone has previously taken this please share your feedback in this thread. ## #SUE ~ I've had CHRONIC so for 35+ years. Back in the mid '80's thru the 90's, I took both FIORINAL + CODEINE (which has ASPIRIN in it) BEFORE my ULCERS & FIORICET + CODEINE (which has TYLENOL in it) AFTER I started getting ULCERS. IF you're getting EPISODIC MIGRAINES, like the type that my mother-in-law had (you get them here & there; once in awhile) those med...

I found this pill, its light blue, thick, and has INV 243 on it, no marks on the other side. I was wondering if anyone had any idea of what it might be? Thank you! ## Can someone please help me? I found this pill, its light blue, very thick, it has INV 243 on one side, and blank on the other. Can someone please help??? I cant find it anywhere... ## I'm sorry, but I can't find this listed in any of our U.S. prescription drug resources, either. I just went through 4 pages of pill images from the company that uses the INV logo and I found nothing blue, or with the 243 marking. Where was it found? Does anyone else recognize this? ## It's almost like a Tylenol 4. Its for pain relief.
