I want to know is there any sleeping pill named as relaxan (or something similar) ## something like Melatonin but targets sleeping better. Begins with R I think. ## Methedone withdrawal. I got banned from the MDC whilst on 45mls. I went to the doctor and she gave me Tramadol, Pregablin and oramoroph. I'm already on zopiclone, Valium and a few other meds. Can anyone please tell me how much Oramorph I should take for withdrawals. Dr said a teaspoon but my tolerance is way too high for that to have any effect. Thanks for any answers ## Sorry I wrote this in the wrong place but yeah zopiclone are probably best for sleeping if you can handle the taste! ## ihave been taking Rystyl 0.25 two tablets at bed time since last 25 years but now iam not getting sleep by above dose. kindly advice a...

The 250 mg of Nuvigil I take in the morning kicks in in about 2 hours and interferes with my ability to sleep at night. The 20 mg of melatonin I take makes me slightly sleepy for about 20 minutes after which I'm wide awake, again. After 3 days, however, Nuvigil does not work. I skip 2 days, and Nuvigil begins to work again. It's difficult to schedule life. ## Melatonin actually doesn't help put you to sleep, it resets your internal body clock to restore normal sleep cycles, but it can take awhile of regular use for it to do so. As to the Nuvigil, it could be that it just isn't the right medication to help you. Have you informed your doctor about the problems you're having? You may need to try something else. The FDA warns that stimulants carry the risk of being habit...

Still sleeping all the time even after infusions ## Iron infusion therapy is a treatment in which iron is put intravenously into the body. If it hasn't done anything for you physically, mentally, or emotionally, I would wonder if iron deficiency was even a problem to begin with? Other common causes of fatigue and sleepiness throughout the day could also be determined by: -Water intake -Vitamin B12 levels -Caloric intake (including the "types" of foods you're eating) -Vitamin D levels (or not getting outside enough) -Seasonal depression -etc… Have you had all of your levels checked, or was it just for iron in particular?

I am currently on 75mg of effexor, it's been about 2 weeks. I was on 37.5 mg before that for about 2 weeks also for anxiety and depression. My doctor prescribed me for having "vaso vagul attacks". When I become really nervous I get a weird feeling in my stomach, begin sweating and fainting. I wasn't experiencing any side effects at first, just recently I've started to become so anxious and depressed. I literally cannot get myself out of bed and I feel constant hopelessness. I also have trouble sleeping at night, I lie in bed for hours as my mind races before I finally fall asleep. I've also been feeling physically ill the last couple of days also- fever, stomach aches, extreme fatigue and dizziness. Has anyone else experienced this? Or can anyone reassure me that...

I thought I was losing my mind until I read the posts about the side effects. I've been on 40 mg Viibryd for at least 6 months and it WAS working for anxiety and depression but it seems to have stopped working as well. The side effects of night sweats, sleep paralysis, and especially the 'brain zaps'...that one really knocked me for a loop b/c I thought I was losing it. I haven't really slept well for months b/c of the side effects but am going to talk to my Doctor now. How bad are the withdrawal symptoms? Worse than the side effects are currently? ## Many of those who have complained about the withdrawal symptoms list them as being very similar to the side effects you've mentioned. The best way to usually stop these types of medications is to slowly taper off of the...

I have just been prescribed this for Raynauds. 5mgs 3 times a day. Any idea how long before they begin to take effect? Another sleepless night with the pain from blue fingers. Never known any pain like this. Can't even tie a shoelace. Wearing 2 gloves on the affected hand and a hot water bottle but doesn't seem to be helping. Thanks in advance for any help or advice you can give. ## Hello, Lisa! How are you doing? Has there been any change? It may take 5 to 6 weeks, before this medication reaches its full level of effectiveness in your body. It's typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension, as reported by the FDA. That's odd for Raynaud's, it usually affects both hands at the same time, or both feet. Are you on an...

I have been taking kadian for several years. My current dosage is a10 and a 30 1 X per day at bedtime. It has worked perfect. No problems at all. For the past couple days I gave been unable to sleep, itching, diarrhea, headache and increased pain and my mood is out of control with crying. I did like others and was thinking maybe someone had messed with my meds. Then, last night after looking at my pills closely, I noticed that I received the generic kadian 30 at my last refill. This medicine is not working the at all. It is the beginning of a four day holiday and I am scared to feel what I am going to be going through until Monday. I would consider the ER but anyone that takes this medicine know they wouldn't believe me. They would think I am pill shopping. Someone give me a suggest...

I take 10 mg of Lexapro. It works better for me than the Celexa. However, I am still experiencing a groggy, heavy-headed sleepiness most of the early to late afternoon. I have been on it for 3 months. Anybody have the same experience. **I am also in the beginning of Menopause, that can also bring about the same symtons. ## I was on Paxil for 10 years, then switched to 20 mg of Lexapro for another 4 years. I hired a psychiatrist to help me taper off - he took me off way too fast. Two months. A nightmare with a capital F. Took my last dose on 7/11/12. I was nonfunctional for three weeks. Physical withdrawl symptoms were gone within 2 months. I am in therapy, have a strong support system, friends, take excellent care of myself, exercise an hour a day and don't drink. I'm on day 15 of no Suboxone. I took a low dose of 1/2 mg a day, if needed, for 18 mos. I never took more than that at any time. I jumped & didn't taper b/c I felt w/d at 1/4 mg anyway. It's not getting any better & I'm beginning to wonder if things will ever swing upward. My RLS is pathetic. It's even in my arms & I feel like flailing my hands, as if it'll escape out my fingers. I can't stand for it to be quiet & I'm so nervous every single second of the day. I can't relax, let alone sleep. However, I'm fortunate to have access to Neurontin & my dentist husband gave me an Rx for Tramadol today. (Hard to imagine this would actually be worse if I didn't have these.) I'm eating well, keeping myself hydrated, using Benadry...

This is a warning to you all... A little bit about me first: I'm 6'3" and only 130 pounds. Naturally I am very susceptible to side effects of any drug. I also didn't have my first taste of alcohol until October 2011, which is when I turned 23. Throughout November 2011 I took Cymbalta. I also drank occasionally, but not often and not much. Cymbalta gave me a lot side effects such as an upset stomach, dizzyness, inability to sleep, etc. About mid-December I switched to Prozac, and took it through February. Throughout this time I drank a lot. Very often, and sometimes I'd get incredibly drunk, but I didn't have any bad experiences with mixing Prozac and alcohol. At the beginning of March 2012 I started taking Viibryd because Prozac wasn't giving me the results I...

I was wondering if any one has had surgey for sleep apnea and what was the sucess of surgey.1B74 ## You can find a doctor to do any operation, according to the well known maxim that to the man with a hammer, every problem begins to look like a nail !:-} Seriously though, if you can swallow your tongue while reclining, and you also have a serious overbite then surgery may help - or not! Ask the surgeon hard questions, and if he seems at all evasive, or contradicts himself, then run - don't walk - away. Since CPAP doesn't work for me I am looking into the use of removable dental appliances and drugs for apnea rather than surgery. My first problem is to find a dentist specializing in treating apnea. This is not easy since the town I live in has a fulltime population of about five t...

My husband, age 77, developed severe acute pancreatitis and has been in the hospital for the past 8 months. He has been on Fentanyl patches (the lowest dose) plus some extra fentanyl injections anytime the nurses thought he might be feeling pain. His pancreatitis healed in 3 months, but by then he developed a huge back bed sore. From the beginning, even when they were giving him morphine at the beginning, before the fentanyl patches, he developed breathing and sleeping problems, with intermittent rapid panicky breathing spells. With the patch, he has had also hallucinations and was forever either totally sleepless or totally drowsy. Because of the breathing problems, he has now a tracheatomy. His immune system was also compromised and he had several severe infections, i.e. lung and bloo...

He changed them due to the fact that the tyenol in them were eating away at my back where i had surgery, but they dont even begin to touch my pain. It's a drug used to treat tinnitus ## There are many medications out there that could begin with the prefix "Circ". Circadin is one name I came across, but it is used to help people sleep from insomnia. I suppose tinnitus could cause some insomnia, however I don't think this is the drug you're referring to. Does anyone else have some clues as to what this could be?

I just cannot deal with this anymore. I need a minimum of two, 250 mg Nuvigil pills a day to stay awake, and go from my chronic depression, to being able to feel normal. The first year I took it I was fine. That was 2010. Since then, I get a script with 5 refills, but since I take two, sometimes three, I run out early. The first two days I sleep straight. Obviously my body can't take the overuse. Anything over 10 minutes normally, I fall into bed exhausted. Then I go into this period of severe unbearable depression. I know because I have been clinically depressed 5 times since 1992. This is much worse, trust me. This whole process takes 6 to 7 days. When this week period ends, I go back to the beginning where I have NO WILL TO LIVE. I have thought many times of taking my life but I ...

Hi Everyone, Recently had a crisis situation where I had been tried on numerous sleeping pills unsuccessfully and with terrible anxiety and depression. Now on 50 mg of zoloft and 100 mg of seroquel together for 3 days. I seem to be able to feel when the depression begins to ease up already but I am experiencing terrible panic and heightened anxiety in its place. My anxiety focuses a lot on death and age as triggers but just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience of increased anxiety? Will it eventually go away? Also not sure if zoloft will help with my specific fear and anxiety so has anyone else used it successfully for a similar purpose? ## It takes time, but you should be able to call your Dr. hotline and they will help you. I take the metformin in the morning with my breakfast and the glimepiride at night as directed by my doctor. My concern is that lately I have been getting up a lot during the night to urinate and my lack of sleep is really beginning to bother me. Any help would be greatly appreaciated. ## Frequent urination can be a normal side effect of diabetes. What have your recent blood sugar levels been?
