My doctor recently prescribed coveram for my hypertension. I searched the net and found some articles about its side effects, including erectile dysfunction. can this also cause water retention - swollen ankles...?? ## No, it isn't listed as being a common side effect. However, it's difficult to say how any medication will affect any person that takes it. But, do you have high blood pressure? Do you drink a lot of fluids and/or take in a lot of sodium? There are many things that may cause edema. Do you take any other medications?

Since starting coveram 10/10, I have developed a dry cough and lower leg and ankle edema. The cough is disrupting my sleep and the edema is uncomfortable and interfering with shoe comfort. I've been taking Losaar plus 50mg/12.5mg and now I'm sitting with foot problems and swelling of the ankle. Dr prescribed one at night for peacful sleep and to avoid wrong thoughts. i am having high blood pressure and taking REPACE AF in the morning and concore 5 in the evening. Please advise. ## @Pritesh, From what I could gather, high blood pressure in and of itself is not specifically listed as a side effect of Clonotril (clonazepam). In fact, low blood pressure is what's actually recognized as being a rare side effect according to the following drug monograph by: stanford.edu/medications/clonazepam.html. However I do see a number of different symptoms listed on there that IMHO could provoke increases in one's blood pressure (such as agitation, nervousness, anxiety, as well as a few others). Are there harmful side effects when taking Metropol Tar 25mg along with Staxyn 10mg. The Stxyn is for ED and the Metropol is being used for blood pressure problems. ## There are no interactions listed between these two medications from what I can find. However, you should be careful using them, because if your blood pressure is on the low side, then this could make it go even lower and you may experience severe dizziness, drowsiness and a low heart rate. I ask because yesterday I went on a sail boat and to not get sea sick I took a meclinzine and another three hours later at about five pm my feet and half way up my lower legs were so swollen it was like pitted edema when I pushed it, it stayed indented and it started this swollen until about 1am. And I was just concerned if it was this is if it's the lyrica since it could swell my feet a little but nothing ever close to as bad as yesterday.
