Has anyone experienced any side effects while using Aczone and/or Atralin? I've been having some symptoms but I'm not sure if they are drug related or just sinus/cold related. I've been using the topicals for 6 weeks now and last week I began having bone aches/chills, slight fever, tiredness, sore throat, back tightness, and for a couple of days a strong urine smell. Those seem to have subsided but now I have a persistent headache (I never get headaches) and a dry cough. ## Have you talked to your doctor? Since they are both topical formulations, you really shouldn't absorb enough of the relevant medications to cause such severe side effects. I am 60 years old. I was diagnosed with "GERD" 3 years ago for which I was prescribed rabeprazole sodium and domperidone formulation - 1 capsule daily. I have been using the medicine since then without any side effects. Short time discontinuance, 3-4 days, has no adverse effect. However, discontinuance beyond that the diagnosed problems resurface all over again. Is it OK to continue taking this medicine kind of lifelong? My last medical exam about 6 months has been normal. I was on 200mgs of oc and they changed the formula and all I did was stay sick from it. The Dr switched me to opana er and the insurance wont't pay for it so what do I do now ## Have you and your doctor discussed your possibly using Morphine? There is also a time released version of it, called MS Contin and it is available as a generic, so most insurances will cover it. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness and headache. As to the HMP, that is actually a logo for a Korean pharmaceutical manufacture, not the name of a medication. The pill should have HMP on one side and some other markings on it that would enable it to be identified. Can you ask the patient and post back?
