I've recently been to visit my doctor about my anti depressants. I've been getting CITALOPRAM 30MG DAILY, but they wasn't working anymore. My doctor has started me with SERTRALINE 50MG DAILY, INCREASING TO 100MG next week. I've been informed of some people that these are also prescribed as an anti phycotic, please can someone who knows about these things please help me out with the truth? ## Sertraline is classified as a selective serotonin uptake inhibitor, it is used to treat depression, and anxiety. The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, weight changes, and mood changes. Is there anything else I can help with?

i am 28 yeats old female.i am taking daxid 50 for 8 weeks..i feel better.but no full effect.still i am little anxious .and have some fear.how much time take sertraline to get full relax ## 8 weeks is long enough, talk to your doctor about it. He may need to increase your dose, or possibly add something else or replace with another drug. It's a trial and error process.

My client was taking sertraline G4960/25mg and then her pharmacy switched to lud01. She reports it works differently - makes her angry and agitated. I have taken sirtriline for 6 weeks my depression has not lifted I am aged 70 I am worried ## Have you consulted your doctor? What dosage are you taking? Usually, around 6 weeks, a medication has reached its full effectiveness in the body and, if it isn't helping you, that may mean that you require a different dosage or that it may not be the right medication to help you. Not every medication works for everyone that tries it.

100 mg of sertraline foil wrapper with the word SERTIMA 100 on it. the description on the back says sunset yellow but the color is orange. Please help ## As to what they actually contain, they do claim to be 100mgs of Sertraline, however, since this is not a U.S. product, I cannot confirm that. As to the color, they are always subjective, so it doesn't really mean anything. What one person sees as red, another can see as pink and etc. The sunset, many times, is an orange shade, what they name it really doesn't matter and is more than likely just a name they thought would be pleasant and appealing. Where were these obtained?

How does Sertrailine measure with Zoloft. Is this a generic drug and is it as successful in controlling depression? ## They are one and the same, Zoloft is just the brand name for Sertraline, so that is what's used for the generic name. Learn more Zoloft details here. It is an SSRI antidepressant that is also used to treat OCD. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and weight changes. It does work well for some people, but there are others that may not get good results from it, however, that's the way it works with any medication. I'm 50 years old and have been on Sertraline since about 1995 to 1997. I finally came to the conclusion that I am better off without it. (I know. I'm not sure why I stayed on it for so long) I have seen a lot of information on the Internet to finally make me cynical of the medical "profession" and the drug "community" to make me realize that it's a multi-billion dollar business. As this is my tenth day after I took the very last dose, I still do feel a little lightheaded, but much better than last week when I had some headaches, diarrhea, and a felt a little nervous. I have sertraline, the pill has an imprint if IG on one side and 214 on the other. It is oblong and a very light yellow color. I have read something about the two being the same. Hi, I started taking Sertraline HCL around December. My doctor, like routine started me at a low dosage and began steadily increasing it. I was up to, I believe, 125mg (around February) when I stopped taking it abruptly for some reason. However, during the months following, I continued to go to my doctor. I lied to her telling her I was still taking the pills when I wasn't and she kept increasing the dosage. I was too nervous to tell her the truth; which I feel bad about now. So, now it's August and school is coming back I'm having some bad anxiety. I still have the prescriptions she gave me and I am really considering starting back on it.
