I took Didrex years ago like 1978 to1982 . I found it worked well on my appetite and energy level ## Hi Greg, I don't mean to get off on the wrong foot, but when the following three words are used in the same sentence "internet, pharmacy, and safety", the first thing that comes to my mind is SCAM. And while there are a handful of sites that require you to upload a copy of your prescription before checking out, most of those web-based pharmacies are unlicensed and unreliable when it comes to actually getting what you paid for. If you want to obtain this medication legally here in the US, it's going to have to come in the form of a prescription since Didrex (Benzphetamine) is a Schedule III controlled substance. The medication itself doesn't appear to be banned or anyt...

Could you tell me if the metaformin er 500 mg is gluten free? The tablet has IP 178 imprinted on it. ## Hi Melany, Based on my research, Amneal's 500mg Metformin hydrochloride ER tablets imprinted with IP 178, reportedly contain the following set of inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide + hypromellose + magnesium stearate + microcrystalline cellulose However, gluten as well as gluten derivatives do not appear to be listed here, so you should be safe in that regard. I hope this helps!

Just reading what others had to say. Yes, we have a problem as a whole nation with our medications. I don't just have a problem getting narcotic pain relievers, I also have a problem with my heart med brand and my husband with his diabetes meds. The pharmacies have been changing manufacturers whenever it seems to be an advantage to them. They treat me like a criminal whenever I complain about my oxycodone manufacturer, cause it must be cause I want to feel high, though that doesn't apply to my ER pain medication, so why am I still treated like a big "druggie" when I fill that script? The pharmacy using DEA as an excuse is exactly that, an excuse. I have had two major pharmacies, Safeway and Walgreen, and one independent tell me straight out that the whole issue is profit...

I am looking for a doctor to perscribe a compounding safer persciption for someone with schizophrenia, The medicines have very bad side affects, Thank you, In ohio or near ## Hello, Mari! How are you? Any doctor can write such a prescription, there are no special ones that it's restricted to, so it could be written by their current treating physician. There are just only certain pharmacies that specialize in compounding such medications. However, even compounding medications isn't going to do away with the risk of side effects. What types of problems is the patient experiencing?

I am losing it trying to find a pharmacy other than CVS that carries the Sandoz brand of 20mg Methylphenidate hcl. I have tried most independent pharmacies and none of the major chains seem to have them. I called Walmart, Walgreens, Costco, Neighborcare, Riteaid, Safeway Pharmacy, SuperFresh Pharmacy, a bunch of small independents as well as a few epic pharmacies. The only reason I dont go to CVS is because They have to order it, I have been out for 3 days now, and there cash price is higher than anyone in town. I take three 20mg hcl tabs a day. Plus, my mother is one of the pharmacy techs at my neighborhood pharmacy and has been in recovery for 12 years and would go crazy if she new I was being prescribed generic ritalin. Although I have never had a substance abuse problem, and she kno...

I have 50mg of tramadol from India. It is from Centurion Pharmacy. Is it safe? ## Hi Richard, After taking a look at this company's webpage, I do get the sense that Centurion Laboratories / Pharmacy is considered to be a legitimate manufacturer and exporter of pharmaceutical drugs and formulations in India. HOWEVER, depending on whether you went through a real licensed pharmacy to get a prescription filled or an otherwise untrustworthy source, would probably be the deciding factor on whether or not what you have is worth the risk. I wouldn't advise taking anything foreign that you're unsure of. But if you're really intent on doing so, it may be a good idea to have the pill analyzed by a lab or through one of those drug panel kits they carry at 'head shops'. This ...

Is it safe to use nebulized amikacin after the expiration date? My pharmacy sent me the amikacin a week before I needed it and now when I need to use it, it says it's expired. The pharmacy is closed for the weekend and I have no one to ask. My daughter has E.Coli colonized in her lungs and this is more for preventative use. ## The issue with expired liquid medications is that they may turn rancid, and it could become risky to use them. Thus, it is best not to use them once expired, unless your doctor specifically says it is okay to do so. How old is your daughter, and what has her doctor prescribed? Inhaled Amikacin can cause some serious issues, such as allergic lung reactions, coughing up blood, and worsening of existing lung conditions, so it shouldn't be used without a docto...

Since being told about pancreatitis and gallstones until I am cleared for surgery am living in constant pain. Can't have normal existence that once was. The meds are so unbelievably expensive so I'm trying to find a way to just be happy and pain free until I can be fixed. ## I have cirrhosis of the liver and also have hepatitis c. The Dr's suggest I get on the liquid methadone but I can't get a way to the clinic in peoria Illinois everyday and can't afford the cost. I'm dependent on opiates and I need help before I die due to liver damage. ## @Karen, I haven't heard much about COD (cash on delivery) when it pertains to filling mail-order prescriptions... I'm 2-3 weeks pregnant and I have vaginal discharge so I went to a pharmacy and I was prescribed doxytet. Is it safe for me to use? ## Hello, Melissa! How are you? It has not been known to cause any harm in early pregnancy, according to the U.S. FDA. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. What type of discharge are you experiencing? ## Is it safe for me to use doxytet I was given by my doc because of rash in my face. Doxytet and benzac AC 5Gel ## Hi, I am 4 months pregnant. Where can I get rid of robaxin #750mg several bottles ## Hello, Trixie! How are you? The FDA disposal instructions say that you should mix the tablets in with some undesirable substance, such as used coffee grounds or dirty kitty litter, place the resulting much into a sealed container, such as a coffee can with lid and then dispose of in the trash. Alternatively, you can also take them to a local pharmacy and they will gladly dispose of them for you. This medication may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with?

I just need to know if I can take fluconazole at the same time as my UTA capsules. Its thanksgiving weekend and my usual pharmacy is closed and so is the doctors office. Any help would be great, thanks. ## Hi Moonbeam, I know you posted this on Saturday so you may have already found an answer, but from what I was able to gather there are no drug interactions found between Fluconazole and UTA (hyoscyamine/methenamine/methylene blue/phenyl salicylate). This does not necessarily mean no interactions exist, but my sources state that every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is accurate. I hope this helps! ## Thank you David. It helps greatly, being as my Dr s office was still closed today too. Hope you and yours had z great Thanks giving and has a wonderful Christma...

How do I safely dispose of them? ## You can take them to a pharmacy and they will dispose of them for you. I take 3-5mg Valium plus 3-8mg subutex daily. I've heard its not a good combo to take at all! I take the Valium for panic and anxiety attacks and take the subutex for chronic pain. I was in a motorcycle accident and died but lucky i am alive today! I've been worried because even the paperwork that comes with my subutex for the pharmacy says DO NOT Take subutex if you're taking Valium! I cant find a good answer. I take gabapentin 800mg 4× daily and 100mg 1× night at bed time for sleep. I am really nervous about this because i do also take a lot more meds and i have asthma and have 2 different asthma pumps to use everyday. FYI - everything is prescribed in my name by 3 different doctors. I have gotten chest pains and feel really sick. Do you think it has to do with t...

Root canal Friday 55 miles from home. No pain medicine given for home. When deadening wore off, this 64 year old was crying. I have Tramadol whis I take 3 a day for spinalstenosis. So my only thought was to take 2 every 6 hrs and no more than 4. It did not cut the pain. I also found Tylenol 3 in cabinet with 150 written on it. Which and how much should I take. This is July 4th and I doubt we have a pharmacy open in this rural town. The Tramadol just barely takes edge off of pain. ## Hi Glenda, Sorry to hear about your situation. I realize it's weeks past the 4th of July at this point, so I can only hope that you got everything worked out ok. I just wanted to add that legally, only your prescribing doctor or pharmacist can advise you on what and how much to take of a pharmaceutical c...

Can I use Watson 385 if I am on Suboxone? I went to pharmacy and n.y. medicad rejected the prescription saying it was interactive with the Suboxone. ## Watson 385 contains 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen, it is a narcotic pain reliever. The Suboxone contains Buprhenorphine and Naloxone, the Naloxone neutralizes other opiates to prevent their abuse while you are under treatment with this medication. So, really there is no point in trying to take the other medication while you are on this. Combining them can also cause severe central nervous system depression, which can also be life threatening. have you spoken to your doctor about this? ## This is true u will get very sick and could possibly die mixing these two drugs ## Whoever told you it could kill you to take both l...

I'm in the first trimester of my pregnancy and was experiencing vaginal itching, even when I urinate. So I went to pharmacy and they prescribed me these capsules Doxytet and Anaerobyl, and also gave me topical cream Canalba. So I want to know if they are safe for pregnant woman? ## Hi Sharon, Are you referring to the medications Doxycycline and ANAEROBYL-GOLD (metronidazole)? If so, my research tells me that Doxcycline is only recommended for use during pregnancy when there are no other alternatives and the benefit of using the medication outweighs the risk. Doxycycline is considered pregnancy Category D medicine, which means that there is a high significant risk to an unborn baby. In regards to ANAEROBYL-GOLD (metronidazole), I've read that this medication is not recommended fo...

I have 15 mg Daytrana patches that expired July 2015. Are they still safe to use? My reason for this, Daytrana is in shortage supply wise throughout the US due to a recall in 2014. Recently I tried acquiring the 20mg patches and was told by my pharmacy they may get them by end of 2015. However, Dr gave me script for 10mg that I will get on this Monday to use two together to make 20mg. Until then, is it safe to use the 15mg in a pinch for I only have one 20mg patch left. ## Hello, Kristine! How are you? They don't become dangerous, once expired, but they can start to lose effectiveness, so they may not work as well as they did, when new. It would be best to dispose of them and obtain a new supply. The FDA lists the typical side feet of this medication as possibly including headache, ...
