I found S489 in my sons room....he is a student in college and has been told he has some ADD going on. He is a smart kid but he strugles during testing. Doesn't get A's...he gets C's on most test. ## This is a 40mg Vynase tablet, it contains Lisdexamfetamine, it is a stimulant used to treat ADHD and Narcolepsy. It can cause side effects, such as: irritability, nervousness, insomnia and anorexia. It can also cause elevated heart rate and blood pressure, so it isn't something that should be used without a doctor's supervision and approval. Is there anything else I can help with?

I believe someone has tampered with my medication (s489 70mg Vyvanse). I noticed some of them look crunched, like they may have been refilled with something else. All I need to know is what the inside of one looks like so I can rest easy on the thought of it. ## What are you referring to as looking crunched? Most capsules do show some irregularities, when they are put together, since they are actually 2 separate pieces and one is pushed into the other. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia, anorexia, and nervousness. Can you please post back with more specifics on what has caused your suspicion?

What foods shold I not give my child when he takes Vyvanse 40mg capsules ## Hello, Kit! How are you? The capsule with the S489 marking contains 30mgs. And I am not aware of any foods he needs to stay away from, other than stuff that may add even more stimulating effects, such as those that contain caffeine or sugar. This medication may be habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, insomnia, irritability and anorexia. Is there anything else I can help with?

BLUE AND WHITE CAPSULE ## It's vyvance it's a methamphetamine salt used for adhd. I just took one ^^ ## The Vyvanse that I've found similar to this has the marking S489 and 70mg, it is manufactured by Shire U.S. and they list it as containing 70mgs of Lisdexamfetamine, which is most commonly used to treat ADHD and narcolepsy. It is a stimulant. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, mood changes, anorexia, and irritability. However, I cannot find one that is blue and white. The one I mentioned is listed as being blue and orange. Is anyone else familiar with a blue and orange one?
