Inactive ingredients were listed as including: silicon dioxide colloidal crospovidone D&C Red No. 30 Aluminum Lake hypromellose magnesium stearate microcrystalline cellulose polyethylene glycol sodium starch glycolate titanium dioxide The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, headache, skin irritation, dizziness, and diarrhea. the pharmacist wasn't very clear on the directions and this is a very large pill so I didn't know if my son could swallow this or not or if I could break it in half it is pink and has rx 763 on the front of it. ## Hi Teresa, The pill which you have is the 875 mg dose of Amoxicillin manufactured by Ranbaxy. You should be able to break it in half at the score mark and have your son swallow each half of the pill seperately. As far as the dosage goes, I would be sure to follow the instructions on the prescription label - So if your son is supposed to take the 875 mg each time, then please ensure he is getting the full dose (even if you're breaking the pill in half).
